Please help!
I have an email problem after uninstall of extreme sms.
the problem is that when I view an email in pocket outlook or yahoo, it stays on top. So when I receive new emails the last one I viewed is always stuck at the top.
Any ideas??????
I am using Sprint touch.
I tried deleting my yahoo account then re doing and no go

I'm trying to help my dad set up his MSN email account on his EVO. He's using the HTC email app. It says he is signed in but shows no emails in his inbox and gets no new emails. Is there something specific we are missing???

I'm importing all the emails to gmail using pop3 or impt including hotmail(msn).
I don't have to use additional email apps.
Hi, I used K-9 and now am trying to find what has gone wrong with it.
I got 4 email accounts synced with it. Gmail and yahoo seems to be problematic.
I had two problems with it :
1. On the right side of each of the Account name, there is a grey box with number on it, usually indicating how many unread emails inside it. Problem is, two of my account (inbox.com and hotmail) is showing the right amount of unread email. When I empty it, they will show no numbers, when it have 3 unread, they will show 3. The other two account, yahoo and gmail is showing odd numbers! My gmail is right now showing 29, and it actually is totally empty (I just deleted everything). My yahoo is showing 1032, and it actually only have 3 unread emails inside it.
2. What is expunge ?
3. Under each of the account settings, I set "Sync messages from" to "the last month". While inbox.com and gmail is syncing emails only from last month, hotmail downloaded every single thing up to my 2008 emails. Where did I go wrong on this one?

Today i thought i might try setting up my Desire HD to sync with Hotmail via Exchange. Setup was easy as hell, just had to enter my e-mail adress and password, the rest was done automatically.
The Calendar syncs well, so do the contacts, but what bugs me is the mail client:
I like the fact that i can choose that attachments don't download, but here are my problems:
When i open an E-Mail on my Desktop, the mail gets marked as read on the Hotmail site and on my phone.
When i open a mail on my phone however, i go back to the list of mails. Then, the phone removes all messages from my phone and redownloads them. Now the mail i just read is marked as unread. Anyone know how to fix this?
Another thing: Is it possible to actually show all my E-mails on my Desire HD with the mail app? When it syncs it always shows X/285. Once x has reached 35 it stops. (i have more than 285 mails in my inbox).

I have a customer that is having issues with her yahoo email. First, the problem she had was that everytime a new email came in. It would show some form of spam message in the notification bar but when you clicked on it it would go to the right email. I recommended remvoing the email account and re adding it to the phone. Now she's not having that problem but she's not getting any notifications and old emails that she had read are now showing up unread after refreshing the email account. any help will be greatly appreciated.
Is she using the default email app or the Y! Mail app from Yahoo? I haven't had the issues you described when using either one, but maybe she can try a different app than the one she's using now.
She's using the phone email app. I tried the Yahoo mail app but it wouldn't show old emails because it's a business's email.

Hmmm... not sure - I don't know why being a business email would have any issue with showing old emails on Yahoo. Only other thought I had was to try a different email client like K-9 or Mail Droid and see if you have better luck with that.

I recently purchased a New Tmo LG G3. I've installed the latest Yahoo Mail Client from the Play Store. I recently noticed that mail notifications appears to not work as expected. Can someone help me verify if this issue is isolated to me of if this is a handset/app issue?
Issue: When user is sent mail to their Yahoo e-mail account, notification for new mail is not received.
Actual: Mail is received when performing manual sync. If user opens the Yahoo mail client, the mail will appear in the inbox.
Expected: Mail notification is received and user is made aware they have new mail awaiting to be read.
Repro Steps:
e-mail Yahoo account using another mail client
stay idle on the home screen and wait for notification
Additional notes: I verified that sync settings on Android is set to ON, I've also verified that sending mail from Gmail to Gmail, Comcast to GMail and Gmail to Comcast works as expected. I've also checked for reviews on the Play Store and noticed that their are 2-3 other people rated this app with 1 start stating it doesn't work.
If I could get a member or members on here test the Yahoo client it would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I can keep my sanity if know this isn't isolated to me.

Rebooting the phone appears to have resolved the issue.
