I have my S620 (WM6) connected via WiFi to my laptop, and that's connected to my work network which uses a proxy to connect to the internet. What happened is that I entered the proxy password incorrectly when prompted by IE, and chose the Save Password option. So now each time I try to open a page I get the message "The user name or password is incorrect. Verify that CAPS LOCK......". Problem is I can't seem to find a way to delete the cached password, and the registry key mentioned in this link does not exist: http://thinkabdul.com/2006/04/25/deleting-cachedsaved-passwords-in-pocket-internet-explorer/
Any ideas?

Does your certificate server name match the name of the server you put into the pda setup? Is you ssl server certificate publicly recognized as secure?
Public Name and cert match. If i use a PC i can access http://publicname/exchange or http://publicname/oma no worries. If i try to sync my JasJar with new rom all i get is password promt again and again. I think i must have to do something with the activesync folder in IIS but not sure what, event log indicates wrong password (error 529) but its the same ones used for OWA and OMA and thats fine!

Hello,
I tried to connect to a internet site but I keyed in a wrong password with the "Save password" checkbox checked.
Now, when I try to connect to this internet site, I always received the message "HTTP/1.0 401 Authorization Required" (without any password window asking me the password...).
Can somebody help me to solve this problem?
THANKS
From the today screen -
select start then settings
click on the connections tab
select the connectios icon
under the IPS heading click 'manage existing connections'
select the connection you are using and click edit
click next twice
you should now be on the screen with the username and password
delete the password and click finish
I am always having Activesync error code 0x80072f06 , anyone facing same issue? I was able to sync to the server via WiFi till somehow it's not working after connecting to a PC via USB.
According to MS website , here is the details. Hope someone can give me some guidance.
You have an incorrect SSL certificate common name in the Host Name field. For example, you may have entered www.server.com, when the common name on the certificate is actually www.different.com. Make sure the server name is entered correctly.
The Exchange Server name in the ActiveSync settings differs from the name that is required to establish an SSL connection. Correct the Exchange Server name, and try to synchronize again. If you synchronize on a schedule, synchronization has been changed from scheduled to manual
Open Registry Editor on your desktop (Start/Run and type "regedit") and locate the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services. Right-click on the value list and choose New/DWORD value. Type the name "AllowLSP" and leave the value zero.
The problem requires you to edit the registry of the device. To do this you will need to install to the device an editor called: PHM Editor http://www.phm.lu/products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
If you have questions on how to edit the registry file, drop me an email and I'll explain it. [email protected]
Hello,
I've upgraded my HTC P3300 with the htt://member.htc.com downloadable HTC_P3300_FRA_3.13.406.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe
The ROM updated like a charm.
Since done I can no more connect my P3300 to Internet through my PC while using ActiveSync (4.5).
This worked correctly with WM5, on standard settings.
The USB to PC "Enhanced network" setting is enabled, I tried to disable and enable it again with no change. All settings are by default.
My PC get a 169.254.2.2 IP adress and I can Ping 169.254.2.1
Trying to load a page in IE returns a warning window "Connection impossible, go to connections settings"
Thanks for any suggestion,
Jean-Jacques

Could you have it set to Automatic?
I had the same issue, solved it with this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321471
Does anyone know what the username and password for the Mifi 5510L's serial console is? I want to see what I can do with it-- mainly place a small file on the local web server and change the hosts file to spoof the global proxy configuration file on my iPad (no there is no other way to do this, I've tried 'em all)
Specifically, I hook it up to my PC with a USB cable and use PuTTY to connect to it (COM3) and it asks for a login and password. I've tried all the normal defaults as well as the SSID/password and the configuration password.
So does anyone know what this username and password would be?
