i hope im wrong but you cant use the xda aas a remote for tv etc (cif)?
try TV remote controller 5.5 from www.pdawin.com... works perfect with my thomson tv set and my spv m2000
website states
Note: iPAQ 19xx is not supported so far!
Note: XDA 2 is not supported so far!
You can use XDA II as remote for your TV tunner or Amp. Install Novi Remote new version and don't forget to enable IR beam in Settings menu.
Asim
installed tvremote did learn and noyhing, well it did lwearn just didnt send a signal. where would i change those settings for the beam
really want to get this up and running tonight, i have set the beam settings on the ppc to "receive all incoming beams". i have tv remote 5.5 installed and using the XDA IIs. any ideas????
ok done some research and the ir in the xda is weak due to not being Consumer ir. but it is still usable as a remote but just has a weaker signal giving you 1.5 - 3m range.
So i now placed the pda right up 2 the tv but still nothing... anyone have a link for novi, is novi nevo????
Hi. I use "total remote" from griffin technologies. This works very well as a remote controller (although the range is a little short).
The software records and plays back absolutely fine.
I couldn't get the hardware sender to work, I believe the new PDA2K has a different headphone design (??)
Baz
THOUGHT OF SOMETHING, I HAVE NOT INSTALLED THE 02 SOFTWARE could this be the reason why??
have tried : Total remote and tv remote controler 5.5
had some trouble with the macro in total remote. to record a signal from my tv remote to the pda you macro >strart recoding marco> then press channel 1 on pda followed by press the remote for 5 sec, then???

There is nothing in the O2 or WM2003 cabs which will help. The I/R system in the XDA devices is simply not compatible with domestic remotes (psuter was obviously lucky with his Thomson TV).
The only way over this is by using a hardware adapter from Griffin Total Remote, or wait for the planned SDIO adapter from NoviBlaster.
The Griffin Solution is a pain with the XDA II due to the siting, and size of the headphone socket.
In short does this mean that i will not be able to use the remote with exra hardware being plugged into the xda iis?
I have used an xda 1 and xda 2 with remote software, the range isnt great but it works, it also acts as learning remote with no problems.
c-t , can you remember which software you used? I'd love to get this working. Any advice gratefully received.
take a peek at this url I found

So were pretty much agreed- we can use as remote control but only at a distance of around 1- 2m. s there a way of reconfiguring the hardware? If not is there some sort of sdio IR that we could use for remote control?

i have been looking for Remote control...pls cud u send it to my [email protected]
Hi!
Do you know a Bluetooth HID Client for WM5 or WM6?
I'm talking about a piece of software that lets my artemis act like a Bluetooth Mouse or Keyboard so I can control any device that supports bluetooth mice and keyboards (as a windows PC)
also i wanted to ask if theres a good ressource on which stuff can be done with bluetooth.
HID is just one of many applications.
what about using camera of artemis as a Webcam for PC?
Or what about using the artemis as a monitor?
would be cool... i guess!
thxalot
just dreaming of Arte as wireless
speakers, screen, webcam, mouse, keyboard, remote music control, sim card(?), data storage ...
already managed to use it as a GPS receiver with GPSGate.
If got a TP2. And I've got a macbook. I have to present something at school next week and I want to use Powerpoint and I want to controle it with my TP2.
Is there a FREE application which can do that using bluetooth?
I used to use MobileRemote by MobileSRC.com with my touch pro and it worked great as an easy to use keyboard/mouse combo for my Home Theater PC.
I have been trying to get it to work on the TP2 though and finally I decided to search a bit and found a post on the MobileRemote forums saying that it will not work at all on the TP2 due to the changed BlueTooth Stack (Widcomm) that is included by default on the TP2.
(I believe this is the same thing that causes some issues with TomTom, but that's a different topic)
I was just curious if anyone can recommend a similar program, where I can use my TP2 as the keyboard and a trackpad or an air mouse for a windows PC? If anyone has tested them out and know what works with the TP2 please let me know. Thanks!
there are a couple out there but you have to install a software on the PC and on your device for them to work.
The beauty about MobileRemote is that you don't need to do that so the computer automaticly senses it as a bluetooth keyboard/mouse.
I was also upset that it doesn't work with the Widcomm BT Stack because now i can't use it with my PS3 and it was the only option.
My solution would be to get the MS BT Stack ported over to the Rhodium because the Widcomm stack has caused other issues for me on top of this one.
Hi,
I'm trying to connect the microsoft intellimouse explorer for bluetooth to the xoom.
Unfortunately the xoom BT requires a passkey to be entered to pair the device.
The Microsoft mouse is not using a passkey to pair.
What am I doing wrong?
Any workaround for this?
i have tried to enter 0000 or 1234 but did no pair.
Please HELP
Thanks
MS and Targus mice su**s.
Maybe 0123?
found this thread with some numbers, but they didn't have any luck either. May be one of them will work for you. good luck.

I too have one of these guys, if we're talking about the same one its the very first BT mouse that MS made, soft touch blue with a silver dongle stand and a matching blue dongle? I read somewhere that it came out before HID profile was finalized so it relied on intellipoint to tell the dongle to initiate the pairing process. Mac guys had problems with pairing until they updated the software to include the mouse so i'm inclined to believe that explaination. If the device doesn't have the ability to pair without using a passkey, theres no way to pair the mouse as it has no passkey in it. I've tried the usual keys on my transformer as well as TP with cm9 and 2 evos all to no avail.
If u can't get that one to work for u, I use the Microsoft Bluetooth notebook mouse 9000. Works great!
Sent from my Xoom using xda premium
i also have Microsoft Bluetooth notebook mouse 9000 and it is working fine.
Hey! Just found a solution!!! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jpn.frontia.waka.Bluetooth
Worked on my Samsung N7000 and BT Genius mouse:
1.Install app and open it
2.Make BT devices search and find your mouse
3.Push single button on the top of application screen
4.Little message apperes below like "ChineseSymbols!"
5.Turn your BT off and on
6. Take a look at you paired BT devices
7. PROFIT!!!

I can confirm it works on my Samsung Galaxy S3. Btw, the app is in Japanese not Chinese. After you clicked on the mouse in the app to pair it you will need to go to the settings of the mouse and use it as a pointer.
