Hi volks,
maybe anyone has seen this, or has an idea how to solve it (if it's realy a problem).
Everytime I connect my bluetooth Headset Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 to my MDA Compact III the Cpu Usage goes up to round about 50% and stays there (measured with battery status), after disconnect the cpu usage is back to normal. This is when simply connect headset to the phone, not when listening to music.
Rom : B&B 4.3
Hardware: MDA Compact III
Greetings,
Daniel
Just recognized that this may be a problem with mortplayer, because when closing the player there's no high cpu consumption until opening it again.
When using mortplayer without bluetooth headset connected theres no problem.

Daniel

How do I find out which version of bluetooth I have?
Robin
I just got Jabra BT800 and successfully paired with pda2k. When ever I turn the BT800 and bluetooth on pda2k on I get a little headset icon top.
Is this normal, it seemed to drain battery on BT800.

Every device will get drain the battery if BT is active, same happen with WiFi...because the device (radio) will search continously. But if the drain battery is u're BT device (BT800), maybe I can share with you...I use VThree BT Handsfree...the manual said standby 200 hours...but actually it only 4 days active and normal use...Before this, i use SonyEriscsson Bluetooth type HBH-65, manual said standy 70hours..actualy only 5-6hours.
...sorry for my bad english.
When I use A2DP my trinity get extreamly slow.(worse than xda II) Even I set bitpool to 40 but I still get a lot of skipping. Anyone know how to slove this problem?
PS. My XDA II do much better jod than trinity on A2DP. I use WM6 2.0.1.1
Known Issue from day 1 of the Trinity History
try:
Current bitpool:48
Max bitpool:48
Capasaty: 37
Priority256:149
Then you pair the Trinity to the headset in the bluetooth menu on the Trinity.
Do not let the headset auto pair with the Trinity cause it causes problems.
I read in this forum som where someone that came to this conclution and it works for me.
Hope you understood what I was trying to explain..
I he the same problem, and I do not understand what you mean when you say "Then you pair the Trinity to the headset in the bluetooth menu on the Trinity.
Do not let the headset auto pair with the Trinity cause it causes problems."
Can you explain it?, please
I have the same problem, everytime I listen to music via Bluetooth the CPU Usage becomes 100%, it´s very annoying
Me too...
Could you clarify on how to apply that fix? Are those settings in the registry?
What happens with your trinity when you're listening to music and a call comes through? I thought it was supposed to switch automatically and resume playback..but the cpu being so slow it doesn't work.
A2DP problem..
Please let me try to clarify.
If the bluetooth on the Trinity is on when you turn the headset on, the headset will auto pair ( connect) with the Trinity.
I read here ( and it works for me ), that if you first turn on the headset, then turn on the bluetooth, there will be no connection between the Trinity and the headset. This is when you in the bluetooth settings of the Trinity choose to use the headset as a headset. This will connect the headset to the Trinity and walla.. no chopping. Now Im no guru in this forum, but as I understand, the problem is in the bluetooth stack in Windows Mobile.
The settings I spoke of are in the regestry. They can be configured in TweakUI on the A2DP tab or manually in " HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings " and " HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway "
Now this is not a perfect fix. As I wrote before, the problem is the stack.
The Trinity will become very slow but the chopping will go away.
Hope this works as well for you as it does for me..
Choice Media Player Makes a Difference
The problem seems to be that A2DP on the Trinity takes up a lot of CPU resource and slows things down. I've learned that the choice of media player can make a difference.
With MortPlayer or WMP, my device became so slow, it effectively could do nothing but play music. With Core Player, it's slow, but useable for other functions. It's a shame, because MortPlayer is a fine player otherwise.
As a consequence to the high cpu usage, I've found that its impossible to watch divx movies on core player (its possible but chuggy). Is there a setting in which we can lower the cpu usage whilst using bluetooth audio?
And can I just confirm with someone that the problems previously described with the bluetooth is a software problem and not hardware? Is there a likelihood that the official WM6 rom will allow bluetooth audio without crippling there rest of the system?
can someone explain the settings for A2DP in TweakUI for me please? I cant seem to find anywhere what each setting means....
thanks
Hello all,
Thanks for the help you provide in this forum. I am wondering if bluetooth is working for you in the official WM6 rom? My Trinity does not want to recognize any bluetooth devices. I have three - my laptop, my glasses and my headphones. Non are pairing and it says it cannot find any bluetooth devices. In the WM5 rom, it was no problem. Can anyone help?
Best regards,
Gilbert
edit: sorry ignore me

I'm using with a jabra handsfree BT250v and there is no problem using it - works very well.
Plantronics Pulsar 590A , headset and wireless stereo working perfect.

Infact the WM6 is faster in detecting present of my iTech bluetooth headset.
I just wish they would have fixed their stack to work with Microsoft Voice Command on mono headsets! It always amazes me how Microsoft can take the few great ideas they have and f**k them up! Not that it's entirely their fault but you think they'd have had it working on the more popular devices, especially with those of the company they are always raving about!
any improvement with a2dp at all with wm6?

I have an itech clip II how can I listen to WMP or Destinator navigation sounds through my BT?
Hmmm... Got different experiences, found that bluetooth on new official WM6 has some issues with my HT820 A2DP headset.
1. Every time to start the mp3 will skip first 2-3 seconds.
2. The connection will getting unstable after 30-40 minutes continue playing.
3. Randomly my HT820 will lost connection with my CHT9100, also in the Comm. Manager will showed Bluetooth "disabled", but the blue LED still blinking as usual. Tried to turn it off and on but no success, have to push the reset button to clear out the mass.
Hope this might make you feel better, you are not alone...

is there still a high cpu usage with a2dp playing? Is the os still usable for other functions?
The CPU usge for a2dp is still high with this WM6 Rom, but it does not drop at all. The usage is
I have Contacts(with 500 entries), Resco File Explorer 2007, calander, phone, and not forgotten the Core Player loaded with the ram down to 19Mb, there is still no drop in the audio. One exception is the touch screen, if you touch and and move with frequency then u will surely experience drop in audio. I am sure we Trinity or D810 user had known this issue since day.
the updated rom seems so far so good. All I have put on is trinity hacks and tomtom so far, so I wonder if it has to do with all the other junk or the update.
its called RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.00.707.18_6275_1.46.30.11_108_Ship.exe
Hello at all,
I've searched a long time for a solution, but I really couldn't find it.
I have an
- Ameo (same like HTC x7500, with original t-mobile WM6 german) and a
- LG Style-i HBM 700 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CZICHA , for calling.
I had bought a couple of weeks ago a wunderful bluetooth bracelet LM 959. http://www.lm-technologies.com/ci/index.php?/products/details/38
Both, the bracelet and the Style-i want and could connect to my Ameo over the same profile (phone profile, hands-free).
I've tried a couple of days, but it doesn't run as I want:
I want that the bracelet will shake when the phone is ringing (that's normal).
And then I will accept the call with my LG Style-i. If the call finish, all should go again in stand by.
If the next call arrive, the bracelet have to shake first, and so on.
But reality is hard and bad:
If I power on the bracelet, and power on the LG iStyle the bracelet go in sleep and the LG Style-i is active connect to my Ameo. No action's could make the bracelet function, only if I power off the LG Style-i. But than I couldn't take a call (not with this brick on my ear)
I think both are using the same profile (hands-free). And only one could go in active, or ?
Is there a way to let both function, and as I want ?
I would be lucky for any suggestions.. any idea ?
I'm afraid I can't answer that with any experience, but I think the bluesoleil driver will allow connections to two devices.
When someone with more experience comes along, does anyone know if it is possible to connect two devices with different profiles.
I wish to connect my car kit (HFP) and an audio streaming connection (A2DP), to a kaiser, and keep them both connected.
ping, I want infor on this to for my ameo before I buy the bracelet!!
new status:
I've seen, that all entries in the registry between the braclet and the LG style-i are different. Not the channel entry : both are channel 0x2.
I've changed the channel from bracelet in the registry:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/Device/001b3500023b
from 0x2 to 0x1.
Bracelet connect with Ameo furthermore, but situation doesn't changed.
Now I will change the ROM from 6 to 6.1 (from original t-mobile 6 to sogarth 6.1) this weekend.
let me see ...
bad story ... sorry.
I've changed the ROM from original t-mob WM6 to sogarth WM 6.1 ROM but without any changes.
I've no solution to connect the bluetoorh bracelet AND the Bluetooth headset at the same time.
Any other idea's ?
please help ...
Not possible afaik. I personally tried it when I had two Motorola s9s and only one would connect at the same time :S.
Does anyone know if you can connect to *different* profile devices?
I want to connect a HFP device and an AD2P device.

Hello all,
I'm currently using wm6.1 build 20273.1.3.3 cook (FInixNOver v3.6) on my Trinity with iDream BTSH01 + Nokia BH-102.
The BTSH01 can act as either "Hands Free" or/and "Wireless Stereo" (A2DP).
I can select which mode I want to use on that device by using the standard "Bluetooth Settings-->Device" menu.
The BH-102 is only an "Hands Free" device.
I successfully can listen music on the iDream and make/receive calls with the Nokia.
As you may guess, my main use of these combination is on the car! the Trinity is used as my MP3 player, my GPS and my phone with ear bud, while its battery is being charged.
The BH-102 works very smooth alone! just need to power it on, wait 2-3 seconds to ear the beep and start to use it, even while receiving a call (it happens a lot while I'm driving!).
That particular cook has the BT sound volume adjustment working very well!
The BTSH01 is tricky to pair... I always have to start it in "pairing" mode and do a BT search on the Trinity (I have a button on the "Today" for that!) to have it work properly. If I not do this way, the music is shopped in 500ms pieces !!!
I can only launch the music/sound app (Mortplayer and/or GPS app) after pairing it. If not, the sound goes out through the internal speaker.
By having the BTSH01 decoding music, the HTC becomes slower (still ok for the GPS app)!
Now, combining both... I'm using both since a couple of days and I still have no procedure to have both running ok (BTSH01 as "Wireless Stereo" and BH-102 as "Hands Free") at first shot!
Sometimes the BTSH01 start to decode my calls, sometimes the BH-102 is not able to pair ... it's always been asked the PIN code.
But, once both are up, I have no more troubles and can start my trip!
i'm using an r35 itech set as handsfree...although it can be switched to include a2dp. however, i also have a sony ericsson car kit that's set for a2dp or wireless stereo. thus, when i'm in the car my u1000 automatically connects to the ericsson and thus streams the music. any calls that come i can answer through my r35. when i leave the car, the ericsson then disconnects with my u1000 (either through range or when i shut off the ignition). my r35 is continuously bonded and thus any calls are answered through it.
i don't think it's really possible to connect 2 bt devices with hands free profiles at the same time. i tried that with both my r35 and ericsson kit....if the first device bonded is my r35 a message appears on my ameo indicating an error when i try to set hands free. it only accepts wireless stereo.
cheers
I don't think so. In my opinion it's not possible. u can use stereo.
