constant bluetooth pairing drains batter on Jabra BT800 - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I just got Jabra BT800 and successfully paired with pda2k. When ever I turn the BT800 and bluetooth on pda2k on I get a little headset icon top.
Is this normal, it seemed to drain battery on BT800.

Every device will get drain the battery if BT is active, same happen with WiFi...because the device (radio) will search continously. But if the drain battery is u're BT device (BT800), maybe I can share with you...I use VThree BT Handsfree...the manual said standby 200 hours...but actually it only 4 days active and normal use...Before this, i use SonyEriscsson Bluetooth type HBH-65, manual said standy 70hours..actualy only 5-6hours.
...sorry for my bad english.

With BT headset paired, XDA keeps turning on?

Hi,
Once I manage to pair my plantronics M3000 BT headset with my XDA 2s
I get the info bubble telling me it's connected to the headset etc, then I turn
off the XDA with the power button and as if by magic at some random
period between 1 min and 5 mins it turns back on?
any idea why this keeps happening?
If I turn it back off again, it will switch on again after a while?
This all assumes I've got past the memory error by a soft reset or stopping all running programs.
Sigh!
Thanks
Mike

Would you like to post your Radio and BT Stack versions? I had exactly the same problem with a SonyEricsson HBH-200. I was running Radio 1.00.00 (T-Mobile UK). I cannot remember the BT stack version, however, I have installed the BT Stack Build 3500, and it works perfectly. At a later stage, I upgraded to stack 3900 because of some issues with TomTom. Both 3500 and 3900 work beatifully for me, and the sound quality is remarkably better than with the original BT stack. Have a look at WiKi for BT updates, it's all there
Good luck and keep us updated!

Yes. That happens. Have tried 4 different headset and several differnt BT Stack versions. Always happens
I have now installed NiceStart by TranCreative which can be used to prevent unwanted powerons.

Possible WM2003SE Bluetooth disconnect fix

I posted this in another thread. But the thread was originally talking about a different work around to fix the bluetooth disconnect issue. I'd like a few people to confirm ths with their handsfree equipment and bluetooth recievers.
I'm using:
WM2003SE 4.21.1088, build 15159.2.6.4
ROM: 1.42.00 WWE, 09/05/05
Radio: 1.13.00
ExtROM: 1.40.125
I'm not sure what patches from the 1.40.125 exteneded ROM don't apply anymore in the 1.42.00 ROM, so I left the extended ROM intact. I did remove battery watch and magic button from the extended ROM.
hard boot (try it without resetting everything)
Pair your headset
Open up the wireless manager
Turn on wireless
Turn off wireless...
The headset shouldn't disconnect.
This may also be why some people have a bluetooth disconnect problem and others don't. I rarely used wireless for anything so I never turned it on.
In an hour my battery dropped between 1 and 2 percent. Then another test showed 85% on the battery, bluetooth was still connected 40 minutes later with 85% still on the battery.
Can someone else confirm that this works for them?
I thought the BT Disconnect Issue was a WM5 issue?
Or at least that is what I thought and what I am using...

Bluetooth randomly disconnects using LVSW

Well I'm using LVSW 04-08-07, and I'm having issues with my Bluetooth staying connected.
Basically it will just randomly shut off on the phone and I have to re-enable it in order for my headset to work.
At first I thought that it was my headset ( Jawbone ) but then I tried it in my car with my Motorola T305 speaker and it does the same thing.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
I had the same problem too. I am using my sony bluetooth headset witht eh latest LVSW 4-8-2007 rom which I didn't have problem with any other roms. Maybe there are specific settings that we missed out ???
Well it's good to know it's not just my phone with this issue...
Make sure that you have the bluetooth voice command set to "enabled".(start>programs>b/t voice command config>enabled) I have not had any disconnect issues since I set that up.
Hope this helps.........Later
BT
Same here, until 04 version it was ok (on the other LVSW versions). Now it randomly disconnects.
Also seems like my battery is draining WAY faster.

Be sure to check/turn off I/r beam function.I had horrible battery life until I looked and found that the receive incoming beams was checked. I unchecked it and my battery life has increased greatly!
Hope this helps........Later
BTW I have had this issue with ALL LVSW roms, not just the latest one. But the roms are so damn good that I am willing to fix the few small issues they may have.
^^^ Beam now off - thanks.
But BT still disconnects like it's going out of fashion. Will probably downgrade to 03-26 which to mee seemed more ok than this one. Thanks anyho.

Do you have the bluetooth voice command config in your programs? If so, open it and enable the b/t. If not, it is in one of the threads regarding m$ voice command issues. It seems to help keep the bluetooth connected.

I had similar issue with LVSW 040807 and bluetooth headset (specifically with M$ Voice Command) but I did not the issue with the 032607. It might have something to do with the AD2P fix that was applied in that version.
Also how his the Jawbone headset, is it as good as the marketing?
Same proble here!, my TyTn randomly disconnect from my Parrot bluetooth car hands free, it's a really annoying thing.
I had sam problem using previous LVSW version.
Not using voicecommand at all - battery gone after half a day.
BT disconnects left, right & center.
Previous LVSW version worked fine.
I'll downgrade as soon as I find some time (to re-install my stuff ).
Same here using 05.04.07 (or LVSW-547)
I am using LVSW and it drops out maybe once to twice a day.
Battery life is good. I easily get a good day out of the phone with out charging. That includes several hours of talk time.
Hopefully in future realease he fixes the problem.
Great Rom.
Hmm if there is no solution to this I might just have to downgrade...

Bluetooth on official WM6 rom - Anyone?

Hello all,
Thanks for the help you provide in this forum. I am wondering if bluetooth is working for you in the official WM6 rom? My Trinity does not want to recognize any bluetooth devices. I have three - my laptop, my glasses and my headphones. Non are pairing and it says it cannot find any bluetooth devices. In the WM5 rom, it was no problem. Can anyone help?
Best regards,
Gilbert
edit: sorry ignore me

I'm using with a jabra handsfree BT250v and there is no problem using it - works very well.
Plantronics Pulsar 590A , headset and wireless stereo working perfect.

Infact the WM6 is faster in detecting present of my iTech bluetooth headset.
I just wish they would have fixed their stack to work with Microsoft Voice Command on mono headsets! It always amazes me how Microsoft can take the few great ideas they have and f**k them up! Not that it's entirely their fault but you think they'd have had it working on the more popular devices, especially with those of the company they are always raving about!
any improvement with a2dp at all with wm6?

Bluetooth connection is much faster and better than that of WM5.

I have an itech clip II how can I listen to WMP or Destinator navigation sounds through my BT?
Hmmm... Got different experiences, found that bluetooth on new official WM6 has some issues with my HT820 A2DP headset.
1. Every time to start the mp3 will skip first 2-3 seconds.
2. The connection will getting unstable after 30-40 minutes continue playing.
3. Randomly my HT820 will lost connection with my CHT9100, also in the Comm. Manager will showed Bluetooth "disabled", but the blue LED still blinking as usual. Tried to turn it off and on but no success, have to push the reset button to clear out the mass.
Hope this might make you feel better, you are not alone...
Cheers,

I am having the exact same issue with my S805's. Both made same time by moto, so similar setup I would say.

Thanks
is there still a high cpu usage with a2dp playing? Is the os still usable for other functions?
The CPU usge for a2dp is still high with this WM6 Rom, but it does not drop at all. The usage is
I have Contacts(with 500 entries), Resco File Explorer 2007, calander, phone, and not forgotten the Core Player loaded with the ram down to 19Mb, there is still no drop in the audio. One exception is the touch screen, if you touch and and move with frequency then u will surely experience drop in audio. I am sure we Trinity or D810 user had known this issue since day.
the updated rom seems so far so good. All I have put on is trinity hacks and tomtom so far, so I wonder if it has to do with all the other junk or the update.
its called RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.00.707.18_6275_1.46.30.11_108_Ship.exe

I dont even know if you can monitor the power of the headset.
i dare say it would have alot to do with the actual head set as much as the app, as the headset would have to send the data to the phone.
I think i read somewhere about someone doing this on a blackberry tho so maybe
what headset ya got?
