My Active Sync Internet has stopped working for some reason. It was working fine yesterday but then today, nothing.
I keep getting the 0x85020006 error code.
I tried reinstalling Active Sync 4.5 but still nothing. I'm not sure what happened on my Hermes and or PC that suddenly stopped allowing my 8525 to access the internet through the Active Sync session.
Anyone encountered this problem before??

i recently got a vista laptop and so far has numerous times encoutered this error wherein i had to recreate my sync partnership only to delete again the partnership and recreate it.
it has been a cycle i have been going thru and so far i have been doing it over and over without a succesful sync.
help or advise anyone?
What sync...6.1or 4.5? I find that 4.5 is more stable and have had a few problems with 6.1
im using the windows mobile 6.1 version, so far it keeps on giving me problems since day 1.
it wojuld sync for awhile, then have a problem, had to ask to delete partnership and re sync, then work again for awhile, then the problem again. hate it!

If your device and WMDC dont connect, just kill wmdc.exe process and start WMDC again. Works for me.
actually they do connect, the problem is it keeps on giving me an error that i had sync again since an "error" as occurred, and says if it still doesnt work, i had to delete the partnership and sync again.
it keeps on going over and over.

Give more info... Like what office are you using 2003 or 2007 as 6.1 works with 2007 and 4.5 works best with 2003. If you have no office and just use windows mail or outlook express, then you would not be able to sync your e-mail or calendar. When it comes to sync, just try syncing your Mobile Favorites....or don't sync and be a guest....make sure that you in "connection settings that "allow USB connections" is checked. If you have Bluetooth adapter, try pairing it and syncing with that. Uninstall 6.1 and Install 4.5....Check for updates. I know that a while back there was a couple for Mobile sync center. You can go to the control panel and open up sync center and that would tell you whats going on.... also check your event viewer. Critical errors/ RapiMgr. should give you an event number... probably 6....go to online help and that will give you info........also will show you the errors in detail. With Vista make sure that the time on your PPC is the same as your computers time.
Also do a disk cleanup on your PC and install a reg cleaner on your PPC, you probably have a ton of errors...like memmaid
Its a new laptop ... spanking brandnew on windows vista and microsoft office 2007. jsut 5 day old, and installed vista fresh; downloaded the microsoft device center and for a time it sync ok; then the problem started and just wont stay fixed.
now, a temporary fixed is i installed pocket mirror instead of using the built in conduits, and so far so good i am able to make successful syncs.
I guess it is whatever works.... I have Vista Ultimate x4 and was in the Beta testing program. If you ever want to find out why it did not work, go into your control panel and open up "problems Reports solutions" and view your problem history...might even give you a solution

Had same problems here. Follow the clear instructions on how to resolve this with MrVanx "Windows VISTA Config guide".

having upgraded to the official O2 WM6 Rom, I have since been getting trouble with Activesync. The syncronisation is very slow and sometimes will not syncronise at all. I sometimes have to disconnect and reconnect to get the blue bar to move and complete syncronisation.
I am running XP sp2 on both home and work PCs and it is the same on both computers.
Anyone else noticed any problems synchronising with the WM6 Rom and Activesync 4.5?
I have searched the forum and also tried Microsoft knowledgebase but to no avail.

Same problem ive had here, but finaly it worked! No issues since.
I Have had the problem at 1st sync after the update. Then tried to sync 1st the contacts, then added calendar, files and so on. It appeared that my big calendar (400 appointments in total or so) made that activesync hung. I changed the setting from sync all appointments to just the next 2 weeks, and then activesync synced properly. After i added some more weeks, and at last i synced all apointments.
No problems since, also at first sync at work (2nd pc with activesync) this problem did not occur at all and i could sync all appointments (and contacts, files, and so on) at once.

Twiggerdingo, thanks, I may try that, but all appointments and contacts are now synchronised, it still takes ages though and sometimes stops, even when there is only one item to synchronise.
Starting last night, email sync hangs at "deleting messages from server" and fails to sync. I uninstalled and reinstalled latest Windows Live (10.6.33.0600 fixed) and still fails to sync email. Anyone else having problems syncing?

Yes, i think the system server from hotmail is down since this noon. I can't connect to hotmail either. I assume (for this moment) ur ROM and WL is fine, the prob is out there.

Syncing works like a charm. But signing in won't. Is there a problem with the server?
so i just got in from overseas where i didnt have an unlimitted data connection. now that I'm and i read your problem, i just synced my live account and everythings well on my end. could've been a server problem at the time u were trying to sync. im signed in and synced btw.
It's been 2 days now and Messenger logs in, Live contacts sync, but e-mail hangs and fails to sync. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Live and still the same. It was working fine for a couple weeks.
Something really strange is happening with my phone and i couldn't figure out what is.
I have been having many problems trying to download my email into my Excalibur Phone (doesn't matter if I use GPRS/EDGE or WIFI). I configure out everything, select send/receive and nothing happend. Exactly nothing, the phone doen't connect, no errors showed, etc. Also if I try to stop the send/receive option it also doesn't do anything and It keeps trying to stop.
The internet connection works well I can use the explorer and other applications to sync mail like funambol, but not the regular WM Client.
I've tried many different configurations and also different imap/pop providers, nothing happens. I also decided to try with version 6.1 and the same story happens again.
At the end I try to change the order I do the fresh install and suddenly the mail start working until I sync my device with the pc using the Windows Mobile Center 6.1. Yes aftet that It stop working with exactly the same behavior.
So, in resume starting my device with a fresh version of windows mobile 6 I can configure my imap/pop3 mail and it's work fine. I connect my phone to the PC to sync the contacts/calendar/tasks (no mail) and my mail stop working again (leaveing the same configuration or deleting it and configure it again).

What internet plan do you have exactly. Is it the 5.99 or the 19.99 one?
I live in Chile and the prices here are diferent. I dont have internet plan I pay per kbyte because I use more WIFI.
Did you run the connection wizard in the tools folder?
the connection wizard doesn't help me because the chilean parameters are not in the list. also i don't have any problem connectiong to internet, it works fine, the problem is with the mail client only.
I've discovered something new.
I restart from a fresh install of windows mobile 6.1 ricks v24. I connect to the inernet and sync my mail perfect.
Then I connected to phone to the PC to sync and set to sync ONLY the CONTACTS and it works fine. After it te phone continue working well and the mails continue working.
So I decided to take the next step, I went back to the Windows Mobile Center and enable to sync the Calendar also. After the sync finished, the problem returns. I cant connect to my mail again. It dont work.
Then I restarted the phone and went to the Windows Mobile Center and disable the Calendar sync. After the sync the calendar is deleted from my phone and the mail start working again. I can't figure out which is the relation between the mail and te calendar but something is happening here.

I have had my One X for a couple of months now and everything has been fine, but over the last couple of days it has stopped Auto syncing and i am not getting any emails coming through the weather app is no longer picking up where i am, it just says current location. Auto sync is turned on. i keep getting a messege saying connection timeout on my mail accountand on the Accounts and sync page it says " Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". Does anybody have any ideas as how i get it working again as i am about to loose the plot completely...... Thanks in advance
