I have the original HTC WM6 update. And in the bottum of my screen i have two soft buttons, calendar and contacts. In dutch ( agenda en contacten).
Is there a way to get rid of that.
In WM5 there was a registry tweak, but in WM6 de folder isn't there.
Someone?

yeah. I finally changed the T-zones key to something useful: IE!
where do I find these links?
i can only find the short_camera.lnk
i can't find the faq.
i have the htc s620 and what the messaging key to run a different program?!
Same problem
ZIt seems the Dash and 2620 have a lot of diferences. I can't find any keys .lnk files to chane the keys--I wouls like a task manager wehere ie is.
Also - the htc s620 does not have the text key hold and switch character function (which is really handy) and there is no t9 ot t9x on the s620.
Frustrating
but this hold functionality you can achieve with 3rd party tools.
at my s620 i only have the short_camera.lnk
I want to remap my right softkey to "Programs". Its a long story but basically Im using the latest manila and installed some progs and now need to set the right softkey back to programs.
HD tweak wont do it, it only shows up ICS_Camera.
What I want to know is from anybody who has the right softkey showing as programs and is willing to tel me what the reg settings are under -
HKLM\Sofware\HTC\Manila - HomeRSKPath.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Only shows entries for allocating calendar and agenda. I need the specific wording so it takes me to the equivalent of the old manila programs tab which is now the new start menu with the Rhodium packages as my new start menu has disappeared (Long story).
I haven't seen this anywhere else on this forum, but is anyone else frustrated by the notification bar (top of screen) on the TP2?
On my kaiser I was used to being able to tap on each icon to take me directly into the relevant screen (e.g. Mail, calendar appointment, battery status, volume control or connections screen).
On the TP2 every icon just takes you into 'Notifications' and then you have to click again to go into mail or appointments, but there is no way to the battery, volume control or connections.
Is there any way of restoring the previous functionality of this bar?
Also - (unconnected) anyone know how to change the text colour on the Today screen?
Cheers,
Yup.... asking same question myself.
Get a registry editor, and find the key HKLM\Services\NOTIFICATIONMANAGER\Flags. It should be 0 by default - change it to 4. This stops the HTC notification manager running and restores the default WM functionality.

Works great. Thank you.
*edit* After hours of trying to find out why my text alerts (custom only) wouldn't ring. I changed the value back to "0" and my text alerts worked again. When I used the HTC stock text tones it would work, but not my custom ones. The phones ringtones and custom ringtones worked fine. Any ideas what would have caused the custom text tones not to work with this registry change?

If you are still having this problem, post the ROM version and the registry editor you are using and I can try to help you make the change to your registry key.
Thanks for the response
Rom version is: 1.19.61.3 (51489) WWE This is the standard Orange uk rom
For the registry editor i am using either Schaps registry editor on the phone or Mobile registry editor by Breaksoft on my pc.
Thanks in advance.
If you install the Topaz Notification Manager it gives you the battery status & an icon that'll bring you to the battery options.

Sorry, I am not familiar with that ROM. You can try using a different registry editor or just use the Topaz Notification Manager like xnifex suggested.
You can find it here:

Has anybody been able to map SecondToday to the left softkey on the home page?
I've tried changing the registry and using Advance Config, but no luck.

try a program called Keyswop it is (free) cab (attched) and you can change softkeys to whatever your heart desires... started slowly (i have a T7381) and would say had a battle with telstra's locked down rom but after the first time and a soft reset changes now quickly
Hi,
You could try AEButton+, an excellent program for mapping and extend hardware key (1 clic, or 2, or 3, or LongPress, or virtual button...), but it's not really free, but quite cheap.
This app works like a charm on my touch pro2.

Hope it help..
Have a look at my post to another thread. Shoudl work for you

I tried this and it didn't work on my Tmobile tp2. Has anybody else tried this registry change on their tmobile tp2?
Its definately working for me on my Vodafone TP2. What happens with yours after you submit the entries adn do a soft reset?
Barney
the name (title) of the left softkey changes, but it doesn't do anything when i click on it.
make the changes you want and them soft reset
in my original eu tp2 the changes were applied after a soft reset and i needed to reinstall the application
I cant get it to work either
aebplus doens't seem to work for a lot of the keys. anybody else have this problem? i've only been able to map keys to the volume up and down buttons.
How to I change the right softkey to the touchflo contacts rather than the WM contacts? I searched and applied a reg edit but it still points to the WM contacts... any idea? Also, how do I change the left soft key from action (energy rom)?
