Hi all,
I have a hx2410, which after a few attempts at getting to WM6, I have flashed back to:
Product Revision Level: 1.0
ROM Date: 06/10/05
ROM Revision: 1.10.09 ENG
OS Version: Win CE 4.21
Bootstrap: 1.00.02
Bootloader: 1.10.09
XIP: 4.21.15045.0
Can someone please tell me the sequence (including HP service pack numbers eg SPxxxxx and WM6.rar etc) and bootloader method(s) (blue/white) for each of those that I need to get to WM6 (at the moment, I couldnt care less which WM6 as long as it works).
Sorry to be a pain, but have come to wits end trying to get this to work.

Hi all,
I'm ready to update my 'old' O2 XDA2s, but 1st I need to know if all the stuff I have is correct.
My DeviceData looks like this: PH20B 0 B WWE E O2ASI001 1.12.62 6 2 1.12.925 1.02.00 02.00
The ROM I need (according to (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blueangel) is the "I-mate PDA2k (ExtROM version 1.40.176)"
I've downloaded the ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=21486 , and it's sitting on my PC, ready to be double clicked
I've made a (ROM?) backup with Pocket Backup Plus (from Sprite Software). I have moved the backup to the main PC.
I also made a backup with "ActiveSync".
My questions now:
(1) Did I miss something, or am I ready to make the update?
(2) Is it possible with the "Pocket Backup Plus" backup to go back again to the ROM that I have now, or is this a no go?
(3) Will my IMEI nr change? I have a lot of software on it the needs the IMEI nr / name to work!
Thank you for any help.

PS. Some more info about my O2 XDAs (not really needed)
Unit bought in: KL
ROM version: 1.12.62 WWE
Rom date: 10/04/04
Radio version: 1.02.00
Protocol version: 1337.32
ExtROM version: 1.12.925 WWE
To late.. I've done it..
Now running it.. Looks fine till now
I would happily sacrifice the persistent storage thing for a return to a more responsive device.
The jasjar is slower than my old toshiba e400 pocket pc, and tons slower than a BA.
Either the hardware's just not sufficiently advanced for the new OS, or the OS is inefficient.
Is there any way to get good old WM2003SE on a Universal?
Mine seemed to run slow also, until I reset and did not install spb pocket plus and ms voice command. It now runs faster than my pda2k on wm2003se. Just my guess, but it could be one of your apps.
I can't wait for more wm5 apps. I liked pocket plus and voice command.
You can also overclock the jasjar to 624 which may help you out.
What software are you using to overclock?
Subject line speaks for itself. Thanks in advance.

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but did you try double tapping. Seems to work with a double tap rather than single.
I have T-mobile MDA2 with:
ROM version: 1.72.00WWE
ROM date: 03/15/04
Radio version: 1.17.00
Protocol version: 1337.28
ExtROM version: 1.72.901
I want to upgrade ROM cause having troubles with bluetooth connections and etc.
Limitations: my joystick not working. Only left and up positions in it working, so, will not able to get into the bootloader by pressing power-reset-joystick.
I browsed much pages in forums, but found only breaked pieces of info about upgrading. Please, help me to do upgrade?
1) what steps required to upgrade
2) how to backup my nowdays rom?
3) what i need to do, if rom will not suit to my ppc? how to rollback?
4) where to get rom and etc?
Big thanks, if you find a little time to write me with help.
My icq is 39437069
hello!
i'm reading threw the forum since 10am 8 hours now and i didn't found how to solve my problem. (excuse my english when it is not good)
i have following configurations: (2 PDAs) from T-Mobile Austria Qtek 110? S110? On the box stands MDA compact II

MIDletManager from Tao Group Limited
Runtime JTWI 1.0: v10.1.7.658 (Build 20051014)
2. PDA
ROM version: 2.6.2.27 WWE
ROM date: 3/9/06
Radio version: 02.19.21
Protocol version: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: 2.6.2.110

I explane you my problem and why i need your help:
I have a software running in the MIDletManager which is running without any problems on the 1. PDA.
When I trie the software on the new 2. PDA the program works, but it does not work like at the 1. PDA (the program is graphically personated in a other way, and the MIDletManager has a other look and a other way in which he works).
That is my problem because the software has to look, work and run like on the 1. PDA
Is there a way to downgrade the MIDletManager? Or do i have to downgrade the 2. PDA? How can i downgrade the PDA? Which programs do i need? How do i flash the ROM if i want to downgrade? Is it possible to downgrade? questions questions questins
I already called and asked @T-Mobile but they have no solution for my problem and cann't help me!!!
I count on you *HELP*
thank you
There might be a quick and dirty way of solving your problem. If you had spent enough time on this matter, you ought to know which files are responsible for the Midlet (or you can do a research now).
Get these files from PDA1 and copy it them into PDA2, it should write on the storage memory. When WM5 sees a copy of a file with the same name, same location, it will execute the one in storage memory instead of the one in the ROM.

I have imate jasjar, 1.30.76 wwe, 1.09.0, 1.30.164 extended rom. In my case I tried upgrade partially -only radio- many times using maupgradeuti_moid but never happen the upgrades... Times I have a brick to reinstall full rom and other times it is only disconected and need a soft reset. I think I loose some step, but I don't know which.
Strange.
Anyway I am not the inventor of the partial upgrade.
But I do follow "every single steps" in the following link which is also in my previous message and it works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=269118
That is how I have upgraded my Radio from 1.11.00 to 1.13.00
If it still does not work with partial upgrade using maupgradeut_noid.exe, than do it by another way, that is,
- extract your original ROM (*.nbf)
- extract the ROM with 1.13.00 (*.nbf)
- do the mix and match on your PC in the extracted directory with any combination you want
- do a full upgrade with your own combination
By the way, for 1.09.00, I heard but never have used the Radio, is a good radio version.
I say even 1.13 is also as good as 1.09 in my case .
