i cannot connect to the internet now that i updated to wm6 through octrotalk... i can connect to the internet explorer, etc but octrotalk wont connect.. please help... i am on the proxy settings from the 5.99 plan it worked on wm5 but now that im on wm6 it wont connect =[
OctroTalk works over GPRS/EDGE/CDMA/WiFi/Bluetooth data connections. It does not use text messages/SMS and does not work through proxy connections.

Does anyone knows how to allow HTC Homeplug Weather to download datas over proxy when you're connected over 3G. This plug is working great for me over wifi but not over 3G connection even if I go trough my personnal tunnel.
So is there a way to change htc.accuweather.com in the HTCHome.dll or how to located this line in the dll.

hey i am currently running Schap's 4.01 and the internet and mms and email are all working but my problem comes with the phone using WIFI to connect to the internet, i connect and all to the router but i am not able to browse the internet, i am also using tmobiles proxy to connect to the internet. how can i fix this?
i think i have almost the same problem with orange france proxy : no problem browsing via phone but no browsing possible via wifi, even if connected, and i'm connected to my wifi network : i can see [email protected] of my hermes is visible in my router admin screen. others can ping me, i can ping others and my router . but no browsing possible.
my (dirty) solution : i made 2 regs, one for disabling (delete) the orange proxy data in the registry, and the other for re enabling the proxy adress.
i launch the first "proxyoff".reg before i use wifi and launch the 2° one "proxyon.reg" when i quit wifi browsing.
but i'm sure there is a better way to do, so if someone gets it....

it was on the previous schaps rom i used , i have not used them on my actual 4.01 yet but it shoud make no difference. and the proxy @ is for orange france.
I've got a diamond of SFR pack of france. i didn't find windows live programs so i tried many cabs i can found (include 10.6.39, 10.6.34 and 10.6.32 on this site). but, unfortunately, none of them works on my phone. (windows live works stucks/verylow cannot sign in and messenger cannot start)
the only one who works is the official 10.6.0040 with i downloaded on mobile.microsoft.com, but it doesn't have a messenger in it.
what should i do? flash another rom or who can give me a cab which can works on a SFR packed Diamond.

the version 10.6.34 works fin on my HTC P3600. i've tried it and messenger get connected with USB Cable.

SFR uses a proxy? Disable it. Try setting up an internet connection just by APN.
I have the same issue with Vodafone. Just uncheck 'this connection uses a proxyserver'.
Be sure though, that there are not going to come more data-costs!
Here, the only disadvantage is that vodafone LIVE is not working without the proxy ... but ... whatever
hi, i've tried wifi and usb, it doesn't work. the problem is Windows Live can't be started. so i flashed the 1.93.456 WWE rom. it has a 10.6.0039 version of windows live, i tried it, works on usb.
but this rom doesn't have a AGPS settings (but we can enabled it by Advanced Config software), and has a QuickGPS.
i already try the 10.6.0039 version of windows live

Go to start>settings>connections>open connections>click on <set up my proxy server>and uncheck <This network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet

SFR sucks when it's about Windows Live, this module is deleted from Windows mobile for EVERＹ PHONE they sell. Maybe because of the cooperation between Windows Live and Orange, maybe they just want you to pay more to get the service.
Wifi should work with messenger i think
I can share my two cents about that matter.
SFR deliberatly block the TCP ports used by the MSN protocol and also the SMTP and POP3 ports (and maybe others I'm not aware of) in the wapsfr gateway to force us to use their own applications. One java app to do MSN chat (available on the wap site for the phones recognized by the wap gateway) but each message sent is billed (I don't rmember how much).
The only way to use these apps via GPRS/UMTS network is to subscribe the SFR WEB option and connect using the "web SFR" network.
Yeah, you can't use msn with wap. What you can do is using their own application, messenger by sfr. I must admit It's just bull****, but it works.

Well... Here it is:
HTC Hermes (orange spv m3100) with crc's 13.5 stable version (wm 6.1) installed, synchronized, but pass-through doesn't work.
Yes, i googled it, found a lot of pages, but none solved my problem.
On the other hand, if I connect a Mio p550 (wm 6.1 projet renaissance by crashoverhead) and sync, internet works.
This means the problem it's from my device. It stops in IE at Locating and then it gives an error:" the page cannot be displayed because the connection was lost. please try again."
I tried using it w/o schaps advanced config. Nothing.
Any ideas?
I'm guessing it's the proxy
go into settings>connections>connections and uncheck the proxy
it would have also been better to keep this in the crc thread, instead of starting another one.
after all the tries, it worked after in connections>advanced>select network> Orange World (my phone operator) i unticked the proxy they use

Cool, glad you got it working.
The proxy seems to over ride everything, and their proxy server can't be reached outside their network. I have the same issues on Cincinnati Bell here in Ohio.
