Whats the cheapest way to call to the Philippines? is VOIP cheaper?
I wanted to find out from people who make a lot of internation calls what the cheapest method is to do this? i mean, my girl is in the philippines and im just dialing my regular number and sometimes my phone bill is like $300-$400. its way too much. some people recommended i get a VOIP line instead of my phone and itll be cheaper. and other people are saying skype. i dont want her to have to download anything though. and skype you have to talk computer to computer right? i need something that can go through my regular phone because her computer hasnt worked lately, thats the whole reason my bill was so much. she had no email, instant messaging or anything so i was calling all the time, so thats why its so expensive. i need something to make the calls cheaper and VOIP sounds the best so far. anybody know about it? anybody make international calls a lot, have a similar situation to mine?
works great

Sprite are currently doing a special HTC package which includes backup plus a secuirty application which can track your phone using the GPS
SPRITE HTC Special Offer
Just to mention that as far as I know any solution includes comunicating with the SIM card. If you want to track your phone in case it gets stolen, well... forget it. I don't believe any thief will be stupid enough to leave the SIM card in the phone and/or the phone turned on. If you want it for another scenario - MAYBE it will work.
you can buy theese lil tracker things they tiny lil sticker things which u can put on cars/phones etc. They can be tracked and reported to the police.
just want to find a way to communicated with the phone it for a project.
I've been having serious problems with my phone for a few weeks now. It is very hard to make phone calls, send text messages or connect to the Internet, it takes quite a few tries every time I want to connect. It seems like the phone doesn't want to connect to 3G or any signal for that matter, when other people call me it usually they speak to my voicemail because they cannot get through. It is very frustrating. I have never had a phone or a computer with so many bugs in my life. If it wasn't for this forum I would have returned by now. I'm not even sure if it is HTC or Windows to blame either.
Does anyone else have such a problem. I think it may be the radio cab I downloaded although I never used. What is the best way to delete it, to make sure there aren't any files left? Or if I download the New Windows 6.5 tomorrow is that going to delete and reset the phone, how does it work. Any piece of advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
pls i need the above phone schematics.my phone is saying missing sim card and i have updated it but still the same problem.i think it is hardware.any place to download the above schematics.
...
trust me, just keep taking sim out, putting it back in, switching on..
yes/no
if no.. repeat..
its happened to me, but now its ok
you could try scratching the contacts/pins making a clean clean connection from device to sim.. dirty contact maybe??
i do have some type of schematics, dont know if they are the ones your looking for but cant upload because im currently using artemis..
i can email though, if you email me, ill email you the pics but like i said, dont know if they the ones you need dude..
...
sorry for delay.. (forgot.lol)
this is what i have.. here..
(looks like thes are not the ones you need but always handy to have)
Ok what i am trying to do is reactivate the dial pad so i can call out on Google voice if it is possible. I see the mobile network and data in the es explorer. But they are both blocked. i love voice on my home PC. I know my friend with an android phone can use it the same as a regular phone call just like selecting a browser or media player. i was trying to make an app that dose it. I do have root. I am not asking anybody to do it for me but some pointers would be a great help.
PS if you did do it i would love to know how as i am learning how to add permitions and other hooks. this one is eluding me!
look into groveip. There is a thread about it in the apps area.
thank you but not what i was asking
As i said i was wondering where i can do it. I have seen the groove post before. It seams like a nice app but it dose not meet one requirement. I wanted to make it so i could change it.
Even if you do get a standard Android dialer to work(not even sure if it's really in Honeycomb), you'd still need the physical hardware to be present and working(definitely not in the WiFi version and unlikely in the 3G version without lots of work), hence the need for something like GrooveIP.
again

again i want to do something similar to grove but i want control over the source so i can set it up. I want to be able to record incoming and out going calls on it. My Iphone wont let me do this and voice only dose it on incoming i want to be able to record all calls and since i broke my back at work i am long on time and short on money so thanks again for recommend of grove but it dose not do what i want it to
and i have reason for this.
i am asking if anybody knows where or how not an app.
to find the apk or how to add the service and fake it into thinking it has gsm or to reset the Dial as i believe that will be a good start

Sounds like you're just kind of making up your own thing, better get to writing your own code.
