i keep my ringtones/notifications sounds etc in the root of the SD card. they work and it saves having to copy them back after a ROM update...

My ringtones and notifications sounds are all on storage card/my documents. works perfect and you can see them when you're changing ringtones and notifications.
And now, a few days ago, i moved them into an subfolder "ringtones" in "storage card/my documents" and changed the paths in registry - also working perfect. you just can't select them with the GUI in settings, but changing the paths directly in registry - all working fine

Ring Late

Hello!
my TyTn rings late. it rings after one second. how can I fix it. I have many OSs and Radios but it didn't fix. could you please send me a private message.
I think it depends on the filesize of the ringtone and/or where the ringtone is stored (on the device it should be faster than on the storage card)

i have the same problem but bro the ringtone is being on device memory in either ways the only path is in My Documents>Ringtones
thats what i know
There's at least a couple of threads on this topic already. Search for "ring delay" in the root of xda forums and i think you will find them. Hope you solve it!
WHat you need is the RIng-Delay patch, 2 CABs atached, one of them should work for you. Just make sure you use a .wav file as your ring-tone and the problem goes away. Cheers

I've also a problem. Can not alarm other select only those which are contained in WM6. WMA or WAV plays no role, they are not taken, including the size of the file I have been reduced. The setting is always default.
How can I change this?

Setting other default sounds

I know that you can use different ringtones by saving an mp3 in the ringtones folder. But, does anyone know how to use an mp3 file for other system sounds (like a new text message, email, etc.)
Thanks
put them in My Documents/ folder on the phone
yea pretty simple. if you got some nice sms tones please feel free to share them
wow
That was really easy, thanks.
& here is a cool little clip from the Geico money commercial & some Kevin Rudolf
Its easy to trim mp3s with the HTC audio manager.

Cheers mate.. that worked...
If you really want to find best ringtones etc you should not limit the thread to HD only. The only reason to do that would be the acoustic differences between models speakers and "sounding boards". But I can assure, these differences are SO small

How to have Microsoft Voice Command ( MSVC, Voice Command) on HTC HD !

I went through a lot of "pain" to try to get MSVC to work on my blackstone. Specifically the incoming caller id announcements. Everything, even bluethooth used to work perfectly except for the caller id announcements. Now however, i have it all .
I recently flashed my HTC HD with Energy Rom and then installed MS- Voice Command. I did the followign to make it announce the caller id.
1. I went to the settings panel and selected "Phone" option in the list.
2. Clicked on "Options" button.
3. Select "Announce Incoming calls"
4. Do a soft reset and your done !
I couldnt believe it was that simple.
You can download the MSVC cab file from here : "h**p://rapidshare.com/files/396223671/M_AC_1.6.21040_1_.CAB"
Happy hearing
For increasing the feeble volume of caller id announcement
Thanks to D8389 for the excellent tip :
Please note the BOLD, UNDERLINED and ITALIC words
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\InCallFeedback]
"AttenuationCategory"=dword:00000001
"InitVol"=dword:00000005
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce]
"Category"="InCallFeedback"
"Sound"="\\Application Data\\Volatile\\\\TTSCallerID.wav"
"Script"="p"

Hey liquidthoughts,
I know it's been a while since you originally posted this...but...I just flashed the energy ROM on my Tilt2 & noticed the MSVC is GONE After a looong search I came up on this thread only to see that the file had been deleted from RapidShare. Is there any way you could post a link or a place where MS Voice Command can be found? Thanks!
I will post a new link tomorrow.

Where Are My Whatsapp Notifications Stored?

Hi All,
I very much like the Zen notification sound in Whatsapp and would like to use it as my notification sound in GOSMS. I can't find where it is located.. Can someone help me?

Wow. Okay to access notifications you gotta reach Whatsapp settings first. The first page of whatsapp hit the menu button(or 3 dot) and click settings. There you can select notification sound for group and 1v1 conversations. Cheers.

Not sure, but my guess would be its in one of the sound directories. Probably not on the sd card directory, more likely system.
Check this thread out.
