How To Converter PC Software To Pocket PC Application
Please Help my office software VPN How compatible To PPC WM6
hhmmm is it 2 questions you are asking or 1?
you convert applications by
getting their sourceCode and recompiling them and
changing them to work with windows mobile
this is a big job really
about vpn then maybe you just need the correct settings
maybe it's not compatible in which case you can look for a
3th party software option

The new remote desktop client from ms has two annoing things:
1. It automaticly discconects after 10min sharp
2. I can't make a connection to the internet
1. In de early wm6 client you can add the value mintoidletime:0 in the registry or in the default.rdp file. Then it won't dissconnect what is perfect, but in the newer version it does not work anymore.
2. If there is no internet connection it is not able to make a connection to internet, like ie activesync can.
Can some patch the mobile client dll or exe so it won't dissconnect after 10 min with a little explation for further releases how it's done?
I don't think it is easy to solve 2 with mod the exe or dll but how know's.

hi everyone

Your best bet:
Visual Studio 2008
Windows Mobile Professional SDK
ActiveSync / Windows Mobile Device Center.
Free alternative is Embedded Visual C++,but IMHO it needs much more experiences with object programming, but if you understand the principle,it is also good to develop something. Actually,it is designed for old WM2003,but apps developed there are working also under newest WM versions. Additionally to evC++ you do need WM 6.1 SDK with emulators and latest ServicePack for evC++.
Main problem there is,that the emulator for WM5+ doesn't work directly with evC++ and it cannot connect to the device directly via ActiveSync(because since WM5 it is using TCP/IP communication instead of regular serial as before). However, these are minor problems.
Hi all, there is a new piece of software out released by Sony Corporation which enables and windows laptop or PC to interact with the PS3 via Blue-tooth.
What it does exactly is allow the keyboard and mouse, from your PC/laptop, to control the XMB and the web browser on the PS3.
What i was wondering is whether this application could be adapted to work with windows mobile? Could the .exe file be changed to a .cab file so we could install it on WinMo? Also, I Know WinMo phone's dont have mice, so i was wondering could the screen be used as one instead?
I know it's probably not as easy as I've put it, but could it be done?
You can't just convert an exe to a cab and hey presto, just an FYI.

Ha Ha, i know that. If only it were so easy. All i want to know is whether it can be done or whether its been done before? Oh and also whether a developer would be interested...
I can't believe nobody is interested?!
Check out MobileRemote.
Hi Indi89,
OH yes we do .. we do interested in this bluetooth connectivity .. pls do share more ... but i'm a developer, i'm just a user ...
Hi,
The developer of our main software application at work wrote a smaller app of this program for WM prof devices. When I need to use the program outside the office, I download what I need to my phone using activesynch. I need to upgrade my phone and my CAN operator does not carry WM6.x Pro devices anymore. Is there a way to install and regularly synch this application on a WM7 phone?
No .
Please review the software development section
