Where can I find the change log of Radio-Roms?
I think, I have used and swapped between all of those (from 1.50.. to 1.38..)
Believe me or not, I didn't see any single difference.
Presently using 1.38....
Thanks,
I do not think there is any official changelog of the radio versions but you should notice differences:
- 1.46.00.11 update voor WM6, improved battery life
- 1.46.30.11 update for 3G (correct me if I'm wrong)
- 1.58.00.11 asia update, why I do not know

I had no problems with 1.58.00.11, perhaps even the best GSM but the worst fix for GPS.

To tell you the truth, and again, believe me or not, the best performance I had in gps is 1.38.. Rest are all same-same. "Old is gold" . Strange that very few people are interrested here to optimize an ideal radio rom compared to a complete rom.

Sorry, but I didn't get you. I am talking about the driver as it's still not clear the different advantages of different radio driver versions, and not the os.
If you are talking about the os, then wm6 is much more performing and fast for the arm type of processors.

hilarious
Maybe sounds funny but I went back to 1.38.x.x and to tell you the truth here where I live with T-mobile USA this radio is the one that is working the best for me,the GPS is very fast and the battery last longer.
So I guess is also a matter of location, provider, own use etc...
That windows 3.1 was great
I got bepe0.79
Thank you for your reply about missing GPS of my udk6.0 which the radio is end 00.I'v got bepe_0.79_wwe_notom.Do you know its radio version?
I found out the 1.5 radio is only 13.5M but other old radio normal more than 60M,why?

try to use nbhtool to convert .nbh to .nb, then you will see few .nb files.
the one os.nb is the OS
or if you flash this, you will lost all your data, then must contain OS part since radio upgrade will not affect OS
you are right, the 13.5M is only the radio.thanks

It actually depends on your location. you gotta try each of them yourself.
Check installed software first: hard reset and use it clean.
I am sure that problem is in radio rom. Please advise which rom ver is suitable for Bulgaria, Europe.
What's the problem?
I knew it's very high power consumption.

Hey, he might not have been speaking to you . Each to his own
!.09 worked fine on my Exec on T-mob UK but was awful with jwrights WM6. 1.06 was better but 1.15 is the best so far - I still get the 'no modem at this number' wheb it tries to reconnect GPRS/3G but it's the best available for me - yet to find a perfect 1.
according to my experience,radio1.13 is way too high consumption than 1.15?is that true?which one is the best for indonesia?

From all the Radio versions I tested this is the first image that fails to connect to Wifi networks secured with WPA.
I swithced my WRT54G to WEP security and everything connects.

any bell users update?
This is the same radio that came on my Sprint Touch. It is a pretty good radio but there are some places where I still can't get reception. Basic reception issues that you will get with most any radio.
Overall the coverage with this radio is excellent.
DCD I Love You!!!
Im A Bell User, And I Was Having Reception Issues In My House,
In My Own Bedroom Infact, After Installing This Radio, Those Issues Seem
To Have Gone Away, No More Static, And Voice Breaking Off!!
Thank You!!
O To Install Simply Unlock Your Phone With The Custom Bootloader,
Then Run The Radio Exe
And DCD
The Altel Touch Radio From What I Heard Is Newer Then 2.13
Is It Possible That You Can Get Your Hands On That?
would this work with telus touch as well ?? It only changes the radio and that's it?
thanks
yes it should work for the telus touch as well!
just a note installing this radio is like installing a rom, it will wipe your phone clean so do a backup.

Where did you find that vogue update file that you extracted the radio from? I would like a copy.
Quick Question for dcd
I was wondering if you would recomend the 2.13 radio over the 1.40 to use in conjunction with your 1.6.10 sprint rom? I know in the end its all up to me just wondering what you thought about it.
Thanks for all your work

Over @ PPCgeeks, I believe Latissimo has the complete ROM with that radio...... just check their FTP site...
hth
any chance of a Alltel Radio ROM? Since a guy here posted its newer then bell and sprint....thanks
Telus 2.15
For the person who asked about use of this on a Telus Touch: I got my Touch in November and the Radio ROM that came with it is newer than this (2.15) so you don't even need this one.
DCD, If I'm not mistaken, it's the same firmware you used in your custom ROM 0.20? (Which I love, btw... and am waiting eagerly for your next one)
DJ
I just installed this 2.13 radio Rom on my Bell HTC Touch and its working fine. It seems to have full bars for my EV Data connection all the time now, but it still only has 2 bars when it drops down to 1X for a voice call when I'm at the back of my house. THis is the same as before with the 1.59.10 Rom. I tested out the voice and is sounds a bit better so I think its improvement so far.
i just want to know which has faster data speeds as some say the 159.10a is very fast
Official Alltel 6.1 ROM, flash at your own criteria, not responsible for blah blah blah...
http://member.america.htc.com/downl...3.10.671.1_RS3.42.30_NV2.02_PRL30031_SHIP.exe
This ROM is GPS capable, has threaded MMS and SMS.
Would there be any problems using this with a USCC(US Cellular) Touch?
And could I edit the bootscreen?
I find it interesting that Altell chose to stick with the 3.42.30 radio, even though 3.42.50 is available.
They (Altell) seemed to establish a level of comfort with the next ROM version from HTC (3.10.671 vs. 3.09.671) but didn't go to the later radio versions.
Interesting, very interesting ...
Best regards,
-boggsie

is it aprils fool joke?
So this one is different from the blackstone one that need security unlock, in the radio thread ?
Nevertheless, i've tried the blackstone one for a week, and the phone became hot and quickly lose battery. I reverted back to 1.12.25.16 which is really good and my personal best.
I tried all radio and updated every time there's a new one, it's the first time i fell inconfortable enough to restore a previous one.
My operator is orange france, in paris, with a lot of 3g / edge switch because of the poor coverage in public transport.
I don't think so, device info shows Radioversion 1.13.25.24
- Its true
- and extracted from an offical ship diamond ROM
- You dont need security unlock
- Its for Diamond
- Have a look and try
