I have Opera Mobile installed as the default browser.
How come when I click a link in an Outlook message, it opens in Pocket IE? I can't find a setting to change this. Does anyone know a solution?
(I get MLS listings from my realtor that don't open in PIE, yet open fine in Opera. PIE receives 50Kb of data from the site and then starts over opening the page again. Is there some other problem here?)
I'm running WM6 Pro 2.5 Black (Buzzing)
Opera 8.6
Running the latest LVSW, with Opera 8.65, and links in Outlook opened in Opera when it was set to the default browser in the Opera settings.
I'm having this problem too. Did you find a solution? I am running official Tytn WWE WM6.
Thanks.
Does ANYONE know of a solution to sync up my Opera Mobile and Desktop Firefox favorites?
The ideal solution would be real time over the Net but if i have to settle for desktop sync then that's fine also.
I look forward to everyone's suggestions.
1) Export your Firefox bookmarks and import them into the desktop version of Opera. Exit Opera after importing.
2) Locate and copy the file opera6.adr from your profile folder (by default it's in %appdata%) to the folder where Opera is installed on the phone.
Of course this can't be considered syncing, but Opera Mobile doesn't have any sync option (yet). I recommend using Opera Mini along with Opera on the PC if syncing is a priority.

Great, that's simple! Thx 4 this "tutorial"
due to many problems with OPERA I want do change de default setting for internet from OPERA to IE. Does any guy knows how to do this on TP2 ???
Rather than mess with registry settings, why not just remove the Internet tab and add a link to IE in the start menu?
Also, Pocket IE is such a piece of crap. I think most would agree. What problems do you have with Opera that can be solved by using IE?

Most links dont open with Opera. IE will work fine - specially links from RSS Hub open with Opera and mostly dont work. So I copy the URL to IE and it will work fine ... (bad workaround)
I have Opera Mobile 9.7 and Opera Mini 5 installed, and I can't work out how to sync bookmarks on either of them. The instructions on the Opera site refer to sync options in both browsers which simply don't exist.
Does anyone know how on earth you can sync Opera Mobile/Mini bookmarks??
Not aware of a sync version for 9.7 Mobile other than using Opera Link on thier website. Mini should have it built into the settings.
The PC does have it though.
I've read the Opera Link page (and have a MyOpera account), but the instructions for syncing both Opera Mobile and OperaMini don't make any sense - i.e. they refer to "synchronise" options in both Opera Mobile and Opera Mini which don't actually exist.
???
Ok, here is what I know. I fell in love w/ Opera solely on the fact that you can sync bookmarks b/t however many PCs you log into. The promise of the same experience on the phone kind of falls short..
First off, in the regular mobile Opera, 9.X, even 10 beta and official, Opera Link has NEVER worked for me. Now, when I put Opera Mini on my shadow a while ago, I noticed that something created a folder in my bookmarks on my PC called 'Opera Mini' for some reason this folder is green, unlike the others. I have found that only the bookmarks inside this folder are what sink up and only in Opera Mini..hope this helps..
Thanks for your reply. I've noticed that I also have an "Opera Mini" folder in the Opera Link bookmarks page (but it isn't green). It contains a list of my bookmarks, but how can I get them to sync to Opera Mini 5 on my phone? ActiveSync doesn't sync them, and there's no Sync menu option in Opera Mini 5.
Considering this is such a big selling point for the Opera Browser family I'm surprised they've got it so badly wrong
itm, all I know is that when you go to settings in Mini 5, there is the link option, you just enter your log information and begins updating. I would let it hang in the browser for 3 mins, not letting ur phone sleep or shut the screen off. then to be safe, exit, soft reset, then check it out.
remember, the point of my reply was that all bookmarks you want on your phone must be in that Opera Mini folder on your PC and you must be properly logged into Opera Sync on the PC as well, just check everything, verify you got the green sync icon in the bottom left hand corner, maybe get Opera 10.50 (PC) to be safe..

I have Opera Mobile 10 Beta and the sync has worked fine with portable Opera (running off USB memory). All I remember doing is enabling Opera Link and the next time I opened Opera Mobile, the bookmarks synced. I don't believe I had to do anything on my mobile.
any one no of a IE html plugin or registry hack or any thing like the html trick on most newer phones i got skyfire and opera but like the feel of IE
