I am glad to you will present a ROM. After many attempts and researches, I together with mun_rus, misar and other people have created this ROM on the basis of AKU 3.5.2.

What I delete from ROM:
1.It was removed Transcriber.
2.MSN Messendger.
Bugs:
1.Notification windows not at center(use fix ti resolve this problem)
How to install my ROM:
1. To unpack an insertion in root SD of a card it there should be in FAT32 differently an insertion will not begin.
2. To press simultaneously WI-FI+POWER+RESET
3. Not releasing buttons Wi-Fi+POWER to wait window occurrences bootloader.
4. Continue installation.
Fix notification windows(Thanks paveld)
Fix VGAKEY bug(Thanks Metazoa)

Glad to see you post yr rom here since I can't read Russian in yr original thread (I saw yr post on Aximsite before and too bad that post get removed).
Any idea why the CF is not working? This rom is not useful for me if CF is not working.

Can you plz upload the dll files so that we can change the system icons? It is possible to change them by replacing the original files in windows folder, right?
By the way, I have a x51v too.
Yes it's possible, copy shellres192.dll from windows folder and use reshacker to replace icons,after use Resco Explorer and replace original shellres.Then reboot device and you have new icons in your device.But if you have problems install cab from attach.

The Axim X51v is produced by HTC for DELL, you can see on the ABOUT tab of WLAN utility that it's made by High Tech Computers (HTC).

Will this work on a axil x30 or does anyone know of any wm6 cooked rom for this. I still have this old model and thought I could maybe upgrade it to make it usable again

i just wanted to say, thanks football, i havn't tried your rom yet, but when CF is fixed, i likely will. i was referenced to this thread from aximsite, and i'm signed in here for a different reason.
anyways, keep up the awesome stuff. i'll keep tuned in for the updated (CF Working) version, and the WM6 build (if there ever is one )
I installed the ROM and a german axim and everything (besides CF) works. The axim is now way faster, more stable and I got more free memory.

Hello every one ! i have recently upgraded my X50v to WM6 A02 RTM (MagLite Edition), i cant thank MagLite enough for what wm6 has made my life even better than before, its faster, clearer and easier !! love it
i just have a little bit of problem here..... i use Pocketop IrDA keyboard before with my X50v 2003se ~ every thing all works great and i spent days to find that driver and use it every since at work etc.....but not i cant use it any more.... i m just wondering if any one can help me with the driver ?? i have the driver that works for 2003se ~ and can post it up here!! but just wondering if any one can pls help me with the driver ?? my life was so great with the keyboard, now i really missing it ^_^ any thoughts r appreciated

ok i got good news and bad news. Good news i was able to hack the drivers some time ago but with old info that i found on the web. the drivers installed and the app work.
the bad news is that i still could not use the keyboard and when you uninstall the drivers stuff from it stays.
driver is posted. will post later instructions on how to edit them or look for them in aximsite.com if you want to try something because this is a problem that I'm not able to fix.
Warning on the drivers!!! at own risk (nothing lethal just that crap stays on your device and i forgot how to take it off, a lot of reg editing)
I got x51v for wm5 driver, but it can't install in x50v.
Error message:
STP2800, [Dell Axim x50v device is not supported yet by current version of PockeTop keyboard driver. Please check http;//www.pocketop.net for driver availability of your device!]
Wish someone can help modify this driver. Thanks in advance.

If I read the fixes in build 0.52 correctly on the german site, the differences aren't that big. I don't have a microSDHC to test it. Maybe someone who has one can test if it works also with the WWE version.

I have just loaded the NoTom WWE version and my 6GB SDHC card is showing. It says:
Total storage card memory: 5815.13 MB
In use: 2819.17MB
Free: 2995.96 MB
This is using the Xda Orbit. I have tried playing some video files, all seems to work!
Bepe did change some SD Card drivers in his new ROM. Until now there is no discription available what he did in detail. But it is expected to be posted very soon. Seems like it will be possible to use SDHC Cards in the near future. VERY EXITING!!! Maybe the 6GB Cards will work as well.... we`ll see.

Me too!
I've just loaded the Full version of the German ROM (V0.52) and my 6GB SDHC is working fine.
I can see it in the PDA memory page. I can copy & paste files into it both using the PDA file explorer and also via Activesync from the PC.
It shows the full 6gb (well 5.8gb formatted) as available and shows the correct "usage" as files are added.
It seems we have a working SDHC solution for the Orbit / P3300 !!!!!!

If you flash your device to bepe's ROM you can. Right now, he's the only one with a ROM that will allow you to use 4GB cards or larger.
You don't need to use my ROM, after a short test phase the drivers will be released to all other ROM Cooks... and I'm sure someone will make a cab for that. So just have to wait two or three days ( meschle will be the first one getting them )
Right now one problem appeared, WM5Storage seems not to be working...
... not sure I can solve that... drivers are not really SD standard, but working stable and fast

i bought a new SD card and it's HC, then i uninstalled your matrix version of the Rom, and installed the mdapro original one with sdhc support.
but i like a lot the matrix Version, can you cook th SDHC rom with all the features of your rom, including the registry hacks?
i'm trying to do it by myself, but i think that it's hardest to do.

I had a feeling this was possible! THANK YOU FREEPK! The next question is anyone offering to do this as a service? I would definately pay good money to do this (and also upgrade to WinMo 6.1 whenever a perfect version is ready... and also maybe SDHC working with wifi)

Did you have to make a customised ROM to recognise the new amount of RAM?
Sorry all for long pause.
For RAM upgrade u just need two things
1) Hardware chips upgrade, i use two HYB25L512160AC-7.5 (like in other devides, Uni, 4700, Axim)
2) Patched NK.EXE in XIP, i made test firmware for this - http://4pda.ru/forum/attach/1592182/n560.128mb.rar
Without software patch u will work fine with new chips, but OS can use just 64mb.

i think freepk's earlier post mentioned something about a patch. have you tried that?

I found a repair center in Germany for upgrading my ram. The Rom from freepk's is still WM5 and it works but i want upgrade my WM back to WM6 so i need a how to patch the mk.exe or a ready to go WM6 Rom with the patch included.

That's a fantastic idea to find a repair center to upgrade the ram!!! by the way, how much did you pay to get the upgrade done?
about the patch, i don't know the exact solution, but here's what I found http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_128MBRAM. seems like tweaking the NK.exe in the ROM is the way to go.... perhaps try contacting newplow on his website for the WM6 series about it.

I payed 79€ for the upgrade.
I already asked newplow about the guest book some days ago for an patched WM6 version but the translation from Russian to English about Google is very bad. So i'm not sure what he really answered. I think the best way is when freepk tell us how to patch the mk.exe.

After the Ram upgrade made by the repair center you have to flash the ROM yourself to an patched wm5 version. I'm pretty sure i used the ROM from freekpk (look for the attachment on the first side).

As i can read on the translated Russian side (http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=75722) the are incompatibilities between the 128MB and the 64MB chips.
