new skins?

Hello,
I just got my new t-mobile compact III, and I need a website where I can get some cool skins (other than the standard ones) and maybe a place to get some cool programs. where can I find that? I kinda searched around this website, I dont think there is a section for that though.

I got some nice themes thanks. but im not sure how to install these dialer skins, there are many files, do i just put them on the phone or what?

just put cab file directly onto your device, and click on it on your device....
then ti installs...

But will using the skins frm Pauly A and the Iphone skin disabled the Smart Dialing function? Or will I be able still using this Smart Dial function?

Joey Jojo, may I ask if I install your iPhone dialer skin, do I still get the SmartDial function? And, how to get back to the default? Do I just uninstall it from the "Remove Program"? Thanks.

Try http://www.zombienexus.net,you'l find lots of dialer skins and most of them have the smart dialer function enabled,installing them is quite easy too as they only come in a single cab which is installed in the main memory.
It's best to make a complete backup of your phone before installing any diallers just in case you have any issues when you remove them.

Yes you do and then soft reset,never had a problem with uninstalling.Also try the Jimmy vista bkack dialer skin in the wizard forum,think its in the super rom thread.

Joey Jojo, the version u uploaded here doesnot have smartdialling. please check it and let us know how to activate it, if its there in it.

this is for all those who are lucky enough to already own a Touch Pro 2. (and also to those who may know something about it). does the touch pro 2 really only have the full QWERTY on-screen keyboard? when I watched the software review on pocketnow.com, Brandon Miniman (the narrator of the video) said that only the full QWERTY was on the phone. It would be nice if it had the phone keypad and the half QWERTY keyboard. and if it doesn't, is it possible to somehow get these on-screen keyboards onto the device??? the phone keypad would be nice to use to type with one hand.

could you post screen shots of the other keyboards too? like the phone keyboard and the half qwerty? (if there is a half qwerty)
and how is the screen sensitivity when typing with those keyboards? is it easy to type on them? cos I installed the EZinput keyboard that was skinned to look like the new rhodium/topaz keyboard onto my tilt but I didn't like it due to the fact that the tilt touchscreen isn't as responsive. I kept getting the wrong character ("E", when I actually wanted a "T")

Problems/bugs

Well I'm also the happy owner of the TP2... But if have some issues/bugs that maybe some of you have a solution for.
When I restart my phone, sometimes manila doesn't start at all.
So I start it up manually, but then it seems that parts are not working. Like quantity notifications of the messages...
Also the device sometimes gives a message that it cannot connect to the gprs, while I have a network connection and other phones have no problem with the same provider. And then I notice that the H sign is very weird and there's no info about it in the manual.
Here you can see an image, the red arrow points to the weird symbol.

You can only modify the total sound volume and not ring or phone volume. That's not handy because my sms sound is too low.
Is there a tweak to change the soft touch buttons? Like Phone - Camera buttons to change to contact - sms or something else...

This is really ennoying... My battery was low and phone shutted down.
So I connection the power supply, started the phone and yeah AGAIN... stupid Manila doesn't start. No feature started.. I feel like throwing it away now.
Hope someone has a solution to it?

One issue solved...
Well I uninstalled SPB gprs monitor and now manila starts up fine.
I also set a delayed startup for S2U2 for about 20s, so that manila starts up first.

these have nothing to do with htc touch pro2 itself dude!
it's about the rom you installed in it,so pls return to your technician to get a good rom!
it's like you have super good pc,but the windows xp you installed is crap,then your pc will always get this problem and that......
FYI: rom means: OS(wm 6.5 for example)+Radio(GSM etc)+Extrom(touchflo 3d etc)

For the strange color of the "H" icon, it's mean you don't receive grps correctly in the place you are.Try to move to see a change.
For your problem of the TF3D's starting, i have the same problem when S2U2 was installed, see in the forum you can find a special version modified for TP2.

I am trying to find a keyboard with both the letters and numbers on one screen. I need to be able to enter both without pressing symbol button or shift to change keyboards. Do you guys know any APK's or program that would allow this? I have tried swift key and perfect keyboard and they didn't work.

I don't know of anything like what you want, and this should probably be posted in the themes and apps section, or the question section, but definitely not the Development section.

Swiftkey works fine. What did not work for you?

I am curious too as to why SwiftKey doesn't work for you. If you long press on a key either the single additional options will post or like the below will happen. View attachment 1746389

This one has a free version, but I don't know if you can add the numbers on the front keyboard on the free version. I know you can on pro. It looks like the aosp keyboard. You of course can customize it. Its worth the $3.

It is customizable as far as colors and layout, etc. I like it a lot! the numbers can by one tap change to punctuatuins, and arrows, etc.

Frustrated trying to enable Shift and Ctrl keys in bluetooth keyboard

I recently bought a bluetooth keyboard to type faster. Initially it wouldn't detect some keys like Shift or Ctrl, so I had no way to capitalize letters. At some point, after installing the Google keyboard (gboard), these keys worked. I could press simultaenously the "Shift + a" and then I got an "A". Yes, pretty basice. The thing is that after a day, it went back to not detecting these keys anymore. That means that I can't choose the special characters above the numbers (like brackets, @, etc).
I tried to root and use a "Bluetooth keyboard fix" app from the market. Unfortunately, nothing works.
I'm lost and I desperately need a solution. I tried to connect the keyboard to my phone (Huawei P9 Lite) and I get the same result: no Shift, no Ctrl.
Anyone knows how to solve it? Thanks!

Sounds to me like the might be a hardware defect? Which ROM are you on? I've had trouble with Bluetooth keyboards sometimes, but usually not something as basic as the shift key. Occasionally stuff may go wrong with the keyboard switching to a wrong mode, but that would normally affect the letter buttons for me, not shift.
Generally on any android version from lollipop upwards I haven't had to use an external keyboard app for anything on my various Bluetooth keyboards.

I'm in stock ROM, the latest that Samsung put at our disposal: 5.1.1.
Sounds like a software glitch but can't make sure!

Given you describe that the same issue occurs on another device, I'm afraid it sounds to me like a problem with the keyboard. Switching off these buttons would seem like a strange software feature -though I can't say for sure, of course.

I had nothing to lose, so I've decided to open the keyboard. It had several clips around the plastic "grid". There is a flat cable connector; I reassured it and... bang! I'm posting the picture to help others (though I think I was the only one with this weird problem).
