What rom are you using..? Does it happen on other roms? have you soft/hard reset?
PDACornerPro.V21.Non-RBSN.FINAL.20273
Only tried a soft reset so far, don't want to do a hard reset yet as I'm planning on reflashing in the next week, just wondered if there was a quick fix for it.
quick fix would be soft reset or hard reset unfortunalty... Also try powering off and removing battery also.
Thanks for the replies, I'll probably just live with it for now remap one of the other buttons to phone and see if it starts working again after I've reflashed it.

Hi,
when I make a call, the left soft key says calendar, can i change it to speaker phone?
it would be very convient for when I'm driving, I can just press the left soft key.
instead of looking at the phone and going to menu.
Thanks

Hey guys,
Urgent issue, somehow spilt fruit juice on my phone, still operates OK,
But, the power button seems to be stuck like its always being pressed.
The phone turns itself on as soon as I put the battery in..
Is there any way I can use another button as the power button instead?
I am rooted with unlocker bootloader..
Thanks in advance

my guess is no...
explanation:
if you say it switches offas soon as you put the battery in then how will it work?
You can use a pin, or a plastic toothpick end to slide around the power button to get rid of some of the gunk from the juice. I have used this method to get my button unsticky before. Just don't go too far in and use gentle back and forth rubbing motions.

You listen,
YOU rooted your phone, NOT me, NOT anyone else.
This 100% your fault and
I just told you what to do.
turn phone on, where it gets to the HTC green logo,
hold power and volume down until it gets to fastboot. the screen that is white, DO NOT let go of power or volume until this happens.
If this doesn't work you are either not following my directions, or there is something wrong with your phone.

the language barrier here isn't going to work..
this phone doesn't even have a menu button so how could you have help it for 7 seconds??
IT is KNOWN that to hold the power + volume to get to fastboot..
As I said, you hold power + volume down for a LONG time don't let go until in fastboot... could take up to 20 seconds..
then you get to recovery and flash your ROM, or backup..
nothing new was discovered here.
we just fixed your user error.
Personally if you can get into recovery (team win recovery project) or stock - try just doing a factory reset (wipe data and cache).
Also- you are in the wrong forum. This is the USA Verizon wireless HTC One forum. You should be in the international One forum.
Thirdly - it sounds like you really don't understand any of this so you need to do some reading on how the entire process works because if you end up having to wipe your system its going to get complicated

Like he said, if the phone is off, hold the volume button down and press the power button down and hold them down until you enter that white screen you took a picture of.
Is that still working for you?

Why are you getting mad at the people trying to help you?
This is an English speaking forum.
I hope you get your phone working properly soon.
Take care.

Help is understand other problem not worse my situation and repeat 10 time the same things! Sorry.. try to understand..
If you plug the phone into the wall do you get a charging light? Or are you trying to do this while the phone is plugged in to a power source? Maybe you have killed your battery trying to fix it?

I really hope you get your issue resolved soon, but I don't think I am the one who can help you with this issue. Take care and hope to see this thread with a happy ending.

Thank you for helping him.
I don't think he understands without you, he is on his own.
I apologise if there has been a thread on this but I have searched and all i could find was about unlocking the carrier.
My problem is that I can't unlock my S3 using the home button, I'm not sure what happened but it just won't work. The button functions perfectly and I can still use the power button, but I have an otterbox and it is rather annoying having to press that button.

10 or 10.1/10.2?
There's a setting directly in cm10.2 for that. Look under Settings > Buttons (in the Device section)
Then you should see "Home button wake" there, make sure it's checked.
