Which Player on Hermes Can Play RealMedia Files? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

I have been searching for the player that can player RMVB files on Hermes for a long time, but in vain!
Can anyone help, please?

there is actually a RealPlayer program for PocketPC, though I personally have never installed it or used it. here is a post on a different forum that seems to be of some use. the link to the download page is in the forum post, btw.

MP4 files on the Blue Angel

Can anyone please tell me the best piece of software to allow MP4 video files to be played on the Blue angel. I have some files from my son's Sony Ericsson and want to transfer these to the BA for playing. But when I transfer these I get a msg indicating that the BA cannot play or does not recognise these type of files. I tried a product called VLC media player for the pocket PC and it does play the files but there is no sound present. Can anyone please advise. Thanks jd76
try the built-in Album app
Use the TCPMP player-this software playing this files.

TCPMP Codecs

I have downloaded TCPMP and I can only watch some files, the software tells me windows media audio and video are not supported. I am guessing I have to download some codecs but I am unable to find any. Is this true and if so does anyone know where to find these codecs and how to install (I am assuming install is easy)

Can the Artemis read/play 3GP extension files?

I had posted this in another thread but only one reply was wondering if it may be WM6 related. A friend with a nokia phone sent me a couple of MMS video files but when I open them up they are blank. But they have an extension of 3GP. Does anyone know if the Artemis will read these by default or TCPMP play them. I have loaded Meshles rom is there any problems with this rom playing these type of files? Do you need to convert these firstly. If so to what format? The last one that was sent did not work but I then received a txt msg from ‘O2’ which informed me that:
“You have been sent a media message from nnnn that your mobile doesn’t support. View it at www.O2.uk/M by typing in your mobile number and pin”
Ay advice appreciated...cheers JD76...
I'm using Meschle's 3.01 rom, windows media player plays 3gp, but jerky, TCMP plays it full speed.
Hope that helps
thanks Kaigame...any other help/advice...cheers jd
Yep, TCMP, or download the trial of CorePlayer form coreplayer.com.
Can't say anymore really more, as TT says.....
The Core Media Player plays them fine, i saw your post, downloaded a 3gp file and tried it, i don't really use my phone for video yet

Click to collapse
So you don't want my Pingu avi's then?? ;-)
Coreplayer/TCMP is the only player I've found that reliably plays video, and it's also the only player that handles A2DP bluetooth streaming properly.

Best way to play .MOV files?

I have some .MOV videos I would like to play on my Windows Mobile 6.5 phone (Energy ROM if that is important). There seem to be a lot of choices, and I don't know which are quality and stable solutions. What it the best approach to playing these .MOV files? They don't seem to play natively...
Thanks!
Edit: Never mind - I found TCPMP plays them!
