This is WM5 officially from HP, but can't seem to get it working. You ever ask them about this?

Hi there,
It is along time I wrote this but no one has answered.
Is that means there is no answer or what?
With my deep thanx
It's unlikely without an original ROM update by the manufacturer.
However, what model etc is it? Do you have a webpage we can look at to get info about it.
V
It is like this one
Hi there,
In this website u can c what my Medion it look like.
https://www.medionshop.co.uk/?areaI...000000A00004A410A4F713EAE6B87E10000000A00004B
It runs Windows CE net 4.2 .
With my deep thanx
The King - the website you point to indicates it's running
"Microsoft Windows Mobile(TM) 2003".
Are you sure it's running .net? Could you post a screenshot?
As I said before, it's unlikely to be upgradeable without a full rom update from Medion - my father has a medion GPS PDA, and that's running WM2003. Maybe you could grab a rom from another wm2003 Medion and try patching it together, but unlikely!
V
SORRY this is the one !!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there,
I am so sory, this is the one which I have:
https://www.medionshop.co.uk/?areaI...000000A00004A410A4F713EAE6B87E10000000A00004B
Please if u have any idea or inforamtion how to upgrade it so let me know it.
With my deep thanx,

the king: I might be missing something, but that points to the same device I think. Still says WM2003.

Dear friend,
Try this link, PLZ.
https://www.medionshop.co.uk/?areaI...000000A00004A410A4F713EAE6B87E10000000A00004B
try to get down untill u c this: Product No. 30003183
that is my Pocket PC.
Full GPS Navigation System
Satellite Based Positioning (GPS)
Integrated GPS receiver
SD/MMC card reader
Windows® CE 4.2 (based)
With my deep thanx
all the links show that it's already running 2003
windows CE is just the core OS that WM2003 and 2005 and ... is build on
Windows CE 4.2
What I am talking about has these specifications:
Full GPS Navigation System
Satellite Based Positioning (GPS)
Integrated GPS receiver
SD/MMC card reader
Windows® CE 4.2 (based)
With my deep thanx

Windows 2003 SE upgrade for ipaq h3800 still available?
My pain:
Upgraded several years back, but ipaq died. Bought a new battery, but can't find old upgrade CD. I don't believe I'll be able to install the daylight savings correction until I get to 2003 SE.
My hope:
Anyone have the upgrade from Windows 2003 to the second edition for my old Compaq ipaq 3835?
Thank you!

Take this:
1. update instruction
2. wm2003se update files
After update necessarily remove \Windows\Startup\bttray.lnk
Can you reload this zip file
I have been searching endlessly for some way to upgrade my H3850 to PPC 2003. Looking for the true Pocket PC 2003 Upgrade for H3800 CD or executable.
Any chance you can assist and reload the file if you still have it?
I would need that to...

HP IPAQ H4100 series (4150), wm6 upgrade question

Hi.
Im intrested if is possible to upgrade h4100 with wm6 OS.
Now is default w2003. If is, can someone send link or something tutorial how to do it...
THX
I found answer....
The H4150 hasn't enough memory to install WM5/6 on it, at least 64MB ROM is needed, your device only has the following:
ROM capacity: 32 MB (accessible: 2.8MB)
RAM capacity: 64 MB (accessible: 55MB)
There isn't even a WM2003SE upgrade available for your device so you're stuck with WM2003.

It is NOT the truth. A WM5 demo machine is actually built with 32MB ROM.
It is just something for HP to defense.
Sadly this is one of the best machine in terms of hardware.
hopefully if someone can put linux on it.
Any updates on this?? I also have a 4100 series Ipaq...(4155) that I'd like to upgrade.
Thanks,
Rudi
sorry to all
but i bel that i had seen wm5 available for hp 4150 on this page (not free)but a long time ago
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...esId=349042&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1087
and now they have changed that page
Any news or solutions?
I have an ipaq 4155 as well and wanted to know if anyone cooked a 5.0 or 6.1 rom for it?
Nope stuck to the end
Linux on iPAQ
You can try this .angstrom-distribution.org/2007-12-images-h2200-h3900-h4000-hx4700 if you don't mind using linux on iPAQ.
Sorry the link is not working. I have got also h4100, and want to try something new on it
my fault. just add www.
It's pity that hp 4100 is dead... But the last chance is to use sd card as system memory...

WM6.1 on PXA270 board

Hi to all,
i wonder to change the WinCE 5 of this system, with a more flexible OS such as WM2003 or WM6.
Seen that is an industrial system, how I can create a rom for this system?
Exist a software tool able to create an .nb0 file using the various .nb files, for example from the HTC ROM, in order to have the OS and boot file ?
Thanks in advance.
No one can help me (I'm a newbie!)
Please help me!
I have a similiar Problem.
I want to install a windows mobile 2003 or higher on a rugged PDA.
Some details:
Marvell PXA270 416 MHz
MDOC 1GB (200MB for OS)
Mobile SDRAM 128MB
Any help I would realy appreciate.
Thx in advance.

Android on a WM Phone

Hi.
First of all, sorry for my english but I'm portuguese. I have a TMN Silverbelt, a custom phone made by ZTE for the portuguese company TMN. This is the link of the store: tinyurl.com/yaagpb4
This phone comes with WM 6.5.3 Professional. I don't like the Windows Mobile, so I was wondering if it's possible to install Android on this phone. It has a Qualcomm 7225 ARM1136EJ-S at 528 Mhz and 256MB Flash + 256MB RAM. Is this possible? And if so, what software do I need to install or how do I do it?
Thanks and keep the good job ;D

Sorry, but there is much more easier way to do it. Sell your phone, and buy android phone...
But I can't sell this phone because it's associated to my mobile "account" on the phone operator here in Portugal. But it's possible to do this?
Another TMN BlueBelt user here. =)
I would also like that, but I don't really think it's possible.
