Is my Axim dying? - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Does anyone know something about memory errors? Strangely my x50v started shuting down rapidly and and after pushing power button shows memory error dialog (...press button to correct the problem or hard reset etc....) It resets and loads wm6, but from time to time repeats this action.
Is my Axim dying all of the sudden?
Is any way to correct it?

Try to reflash WM6 rom...

Tried couple of times, from time to time it hangs at storage erasing somewhere about 10% (below letter a in title "Erasing storage")
At this time I took out battery for about half an hour to memory to clear.
After reflashing after this, for now, there was no memory errors.
Wish me luck...

Good luck!

For all those who have problem similar to mine: Is seems that clearing the memory by discharging internal battery (taking out main battery for about 30min) fixes the problem with memory errors.
After this i flashed wm6 again and till now the problem didn't show up

Problem with my JasJar's battery and/or ROM

Hi y'all,
I had my JasJar since october 6 2005. I had some issues arround june 2k6 when as is startet shutting down @ arround 35% of battery remaining (after a heavy use of MP3 playing and GPS receiving for like 6 hrs). The state of my battery started degrading every day, till it reached the highly unacceptable state of shutting down @ 86% when playing MP3 or even shutting down @ 94%, when starting the camera.
I ordered a new battery like a week ago (expansys confirmed it's shipping last friday). But during the week-end, I wanted to update the ROM, as it might be causing the battery failures (even though I had my 1.13 ROM since dec 2k5, or sth like that). First, I got my ROM cleared, and was in the Bootloader mod. I somehow managed to install the 1.30 version (official from imate.com). But now, my phone just won't boot up! I left it pluged in the wall socket for +10hrs, and when I press or press n hold the power button... nothing! When I presse the reset button, the right LED flashes red for 0.5 second and nothing. If I hold down the two "action buttons" and press reset, it asks if I want to restore factory defaults. I presse "0" (as in "yes"). reboots and same quick-flshing red LED.
I really really hope it's a battery issue and that it will work without any problem when I get my new bat'

Any known problems with RadarWeather (Tilt2 AT&T)

So I installed the RadarWeather app hoping to get a cooler/more informative weather screen. A few weird things happened:
1. Every soft reset after installing it gave me a manila.exe error report.
2. Overall memory usage went way down (SCORE!!)
3. Had occasional "NewsBreak" error ("Access is denied").
The app wasn't as cool as I'd hoped, and it wouldn't show a radar screen for my city, so I uninstalled it. After uninstall, the soft reset manila errors and the NewsBreak errors are all gone (and memory usage has gone back up again . . . what is it with the inherent memory leak in this phone?!?!), but now I'm having a recurrence of a problem from a week ago that required a hard reset to fix. The word "Messaging" will replace "Start" in the task bar, and the clock will be frozen at some earlier time in the day. A simple touch of the screen clears the problem, but it's annoying.
Anyone have any experience with this?
And why does my memory usage just slowly increase throughout the day even when I do nothing on the phone? After a soft reset, my ram usage is at 51% (that in itself seems odd to me, but this is my 1st smart phone). After only a few hours, it's sitting at 69% used. Even if I literally do not touch the phone during that time. It just sits there eating up memory.
Stock rom. Only a few apps and minor reg tweaks have been installed.
Thoughts?

HTC One X Powering Off Right After Booting

Hello all,
Let me start off the message by mentioning that I have been a (altogether) very happy user of cyanogen mods with my last 3 android phones.
The last and current (but it seems not for long) is an HTC One X, which is over 2 years old.
This poor thing has gone through so many ROMs that I have lost count.
It is currently running on a stable cm10.2.1, upgraded from cm10.1.3.
I have experienced sudden power offs when there were obvious battery drain, battery overheat, weird app installation issues, especially since moving to cm 10.2.1, which also caused the GPS to stop getting any satellite signals.
However, the phone has recently (a couple of weeks) leveled up into a bizarre mode:
It will power off all of a sudden, the battery levels are not low 65-75%, so I would assume it was just some process in the background, and go ahead and start the phone up again to go and check through the logs, or even disable/cleanup dodgy overreacting apps. But to my surprise, the phone passes the quietly brilliant screen, as well as the CM logo with the circling arrow and as soon as you can see the background it shows Powering off - the phone is shutting down.
For those brief couple of seconds I can see the battery indicator (top right corner) showing a small part of it in red, letting me believe the battery's status is critically low. So I let the phone charge for half an hour, and start it up again, with the same result, once the device goes past the logo and the background shows, the Powering off message appears again. The battery indicator is still showing a small red circulating section of the whole.
The next step was to go and check in recovery mode. The battery on the TWRP screen shows almost 70%, and this leads me to assume there is something wrong with the battery. But the phone is not turning off for as long as in recovery mode. I still haven't ruled out the battery issue, and will test it when I get delivered and replace the spare one I have ordered.
Reading through forums and other threads, there were people complaining that they had the same issues when the phone was trying to change from 2G to 3G and the other way around, so I removed the sim card and have restarted the phone, still the same result, powering off after boot.
I also reflashed 10.2.1 thinking that a clean installation will help getting rid of some new app/processes that might be causing this, but exactly the same powering off occurs after booting. The same happens even after a factory reset.
Usually, after half an hour of inactivity the phone would start up normally, but today it has been several hours and the behavior is not improving.
At this point I can't get into the phone other than on recovery, I can't copy from/into its storage anything, not even the nandroid backups I regularly do (and which stupidly I haven't copied over to an external storage). I could try reflashing some stock image, but even that I don't have on the internal storage.
So as you see, I am bit stuck. Phone will not stay ON long enough for me to connect to my machine and save my backups, or load any new stuff.
If you have any other suggestions other than this, or perhaps a workaround to what I have already tried, I would extremely appreciate it.
Cheers,
Mad
I have the same problem..
I have tried everything, but nothing helped me.
Now my battery is 0% and i cant do nothing - cant charge it, cant boot in bootloader.
Something heppened when you changed the bettery?

Random Reboots (Unable to receive call, after reboot loop at boot loader) SOLVED

After having headache with this problem for last one month and lost hours of testing, i finally found a problem so lets explain symptoms, maybe it will help someone.
I am using CM since first version and as all nightly version have some bugs i had them as well. So i had random reboot from time to time and i thought it's just CM bugs.
For last 1 month reboots happen most often and always when i receive or make a call.
Phone just reboot and loop at boot loader. After removing battery for few seconds phone can normally boot.
3 days ago phone started to reboot even with some heavier app's but never if i disable network. Reboots start to happen even if phone is in my pocked and i exit elevator (drop network and get again).
I tried clean installation of CM12.1, Clean installation of CM13, Wiping internal storage, Clean installation of Cloudy ROM, Removing SIM card, removing SD card i even moved back to stock ROM.
Installed more then 30 app's for monitoring everything and noting show any error, problem etc. While doing all this, i realized that this problems never happen when phone is at charger. Again, installation of 20 apps for battery calibration, voltage monitoring, logs etc. and non of them showed any problem.
Battery was regullary fully charged but noticed that it happen only with heavier usage (have call, copy bigger file, start game).
After doing that tests for entire day, phone refused to pass boot loader with battery but boot normally with charger.
So i purshesed new battery last night, phone booted normally, there is no reboots or any issue at all. Now i can compare that new battery is better since it lost only 1% of battery over the night but old battery didnt show up any problems at all. It's normally to not be that good after 1 year of usage but I didnt had any drainings, it was regularry charged etc.
So if you have similiar problem, to go to some service where you can try with new battery before buying one.
I have the exact same problem .
It driving me crazy! I will try to get new one, and reply as soon as possible ! I hope it will work.
the phone just showed me that The battery that I was using it for one year is fake -_-
Yep, same issues, phone was rebooting sometimes (at the begin, only a few reboots, only during the launch of "big" activities like GPS, or photos) then a few weeks later
I needed to connect it to the charger otherwise, after a few seconds, the phone used to reboot in loop... Until it dies...
Buying a new battery resolved all the issues, no more reboots at all

Phone resetting and draining batter quickly

Hi XDA Community, I purchased a HTC one m8 used about a year ago and have been having some serious troubles with it throughout my time with the device. Whilst using my device I noticed that I was facing strange battery draining issues where the phone will essentially run out of battery at 60%, I have tried to re-calibrate the battery many times which has not helped at all. Along with the battery drain issue, when my phone has turned off due to not having enough battery the device essentially factory resets it self, whilst this issue is an inconvenience, the most annoying issue of all is that when it has reset itself I am not able to use the device at all since I get many errors from gapps which can only be resolved by a factory reset from TWRP. These issues were occurring prior to me unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP.
If anyone has a solution to this problem please help as this has been bothering me for a long time.
Thanks, wikkedwigg
That sounds like a really serious problem. Try completely wiping your phone and try a different ROM maybe?
your best solution is to flash an RUU if it's available for your device variant ( this fixed the same issue for someone )
to find the correct RUU you need to post the result of fastboot getvar all ( after removing serialno, imei and meid )
Hello, I have been experiencing the same situation. But since some days ago I think that I made some kind of correction over battery calibration. My M8 was running out of battery by 35%. So, I put the phone to charge at 100%, after that and with the phone connected to charged I reset by press "vol up+ vol down + power" let them pressed for 2 minutes (it will restart the phone some times).
For the first time e get battery from 100% to 90%, and waited for 100% again to repeat the operation and got 92%. It's like new now.
