O2 Xda Zinc, How To Enter Bootloader,Plz?

I have a completely dead O2 Xda Zinc..probably caused by software...can someone tell me how to get to bootloader mode so I can try to update rom?..thanks

you need to have the abi files update for your O2 zinc that need only to load to your mini SD. and after power on it will automatic detect by your zinc

i have a similar problem with a dead O2 XDA Zinc...where do i get the abi file or can i make one from the wm6 upgrade file (Xda_Zinc_RM3070712_WWE_ExtV2.8.0.exe) that i download from the official website

the abi file can be found inside the exe but i dunno how can u extract it since if u use any extractor it will not give u the abi file ... also if u hv the raw rom & want to extract the rom also u will hv difficulty in extracting it
that is the problem that i am facing now

you can extract abi file from Xda_Zinc_RM3070712_WWE_ExtV2.8.0.exe by
1. connect o2 zinc with usb
2. flash your o2 zinc by exe file
3. when complete flash don't push finish button
4. select to view hidden files in folder that you put exe file
5. finally you will see marsii_g4.abi

unable to open registry key
hi kindly help me with my xd zinc problem w/ rom6. My unit suddenly crashed while in standby mode then i reset it then the setup was changed. the programs i installed suddenly became resident applications. Meaning ithey don't appear anymore in the storage memory unlike before that i can easily uninstall them. Now i dont know how to install them to install new softwares because the memory is low. then a message error "unable to open the registry key" appears everytime i reset.
What happened and what should i do?

reset meaning soft or hard reset?

hard reset or soft reset both does not do any good to remove the error message "unble to open the registry key" and to just reload the orginal applications and remove the others

ehmmm ... sad to say maybe u hv to flash the rom

how do i flash the rom?

download the official rom from seeo2 and then make sure ur dev is fully charged ... sync it wz ur pc using active sync then execute the rom (.exe file u hv downloaded)

I've already upgraded to WM6 for my Zinc, but I'd like to have an original ROM in case I need to flash back when something's wrong. I checked seeo2 but I can't find it.
Pls tell me where I can find this original ROM (WWE) ???

You mean the WM5 ROM on seeo2? It's still an upgrade ROM, not the original that comes along with the device at the beginning.
Anyway, I'm a newbie so please advice how to 'downgrade' from WM6 to WM5? Is this similar to the process upgrading from WM5 to WM6 (you just sync the device with PC, run the .exe file on the PC and let it go)?
If it's not, please kindly give me detail instruction

O2 XDA Zinc. Please, help!

Hello all!
I've purchased O2 XDA Zinc in Arabian. I'm living in Russia now.
When I open the box, get the PDA and turn them on I've got screen like this:
mars II eboot ver......
h/w version v1.4
******** usb loader ***********
diskonchip g4 128mb
start downloading image...
please plug-in usb cable...
And that's all... Now I can't go to Arabian to change my PDA and there is no service center that can fix it in Russia
I tried soft and hard reset and no effect.
When I connect PDA to PC the new hardware "Asus USB sync" appear in system, but Active Sync does not recognise them (I have 4.5 version).
All o2 zinc upgrade software are working with active sync and available os and i can't use them.
I've extracted binary filles from update exe, larger of it i've rename to MarsII_G4.ABI and put it on SD. But after insterting card and restarting nothing happens.
I also have some knowledge of elelectronic.
So, please help, how can I fix my PDA?

find another ppc first
find a dos app and rename it to devicespy.exe and make it readonly
transfer it to windows directory of other ppc and plug it to pc via mini usb and activesync 4.5
download and run any zinc rom from seeo2
if you did it well the upgrade software cant recognize the device type so continue update progres until your ppc get reset.
replace that ppc with your zinc and update will continue to end and your zinc will be fin.
choose any lang you wish.

You'd better visit www.seeO2.com
and register with your IMEI.
Then you can download WM5 or WM6 official rom.

i do really need help for reviving my dead o2 zinc.
it is suddenly dead wen connected to notebook via activesync.
yes.. it is SUDDENLY DEAD.
i'm doing nothing.
i have been trying to entering bootloader (by pressing right d-pad plus soft reset), but the bootloader doesn't show up.
doing hard reset, but nothing happen. still dead.
one thing that works is...
there is blinking orange LED when i connected zinc with wall charger (without battery inserted)
and there is orange LED (showing up about 3-5 secs) when i connected zinc with wall charger (with battery inserted)
anyone can help me solving this?
how bout using mtty?

Another Rom for Artemis italian user.
This is a new way of install ROM and can be installed ONLY if you have a Micro SD with almost 30 Mb free space.
In Rar archivie there is the nbh file (the Rom) and a file called "Setup".
1. Copy file "Setup" in your SD
2. Flash the rom (remember you must have SPL unlocked).
Don't delete Setup from SD: it's impostant if you make Hard Reset.

My HTC3300 was dead, only can load into Three-color Mode with USB avaliable. I tried all kind of RUUs, including the Original ROMs(English, French, Deustch....)and the newest version , all report ERROR[300]invalid update tool. then the screen of phone stayed in 0% and RUU tool exit only...

SPL 1.11.0000 (used the USPL to unlock CID before)
Before Bricked, I successfully updated many versions of ROM, and the last operation is WM6.1.
I'have try this with MTTY:
Cmd> set 32
Cmd> password BsaD5SeoA
Cmd> ruurun 0
Cmd> ResetDevice
But Doesn't work!

My dear friend,this is an old rom.
But this is not the reason of your problem.
I don't know if MTTY works on this device, but if your screen show 3 colors you are in bootloader mode (and your SPL is 1.11.0000 as you tell, so it is good for flash any rom).
So (in teory) you can connect PPC to PC via USB and run RUU for flashing the rom you want.
In alternative you can flash original rom.
For this operation i suggest Win XP+ AS 4.5 and try to change usb cable (a new one) and usb port (another on your PC)

Thx, but are 3 days that I'm looking for solution... Lot of people have the same problem. When run RUU flashing after 3 colors bar, the phone start to flashing but is stopping at 0% and the software report ERROR[300]invalid update tool.
I can connect only with MTTY but I'm looking fore some command that can force to send RUU at the fone. For example "send" in telnet. But nobody know how to do this...
If someone have an idea, lot of people will be very very very happy!

But I think that is possible to force installation of RUU with MTTY.
My problem is that when I have used start_uspl.exe at blank screen was blocked and I have removed battery.
After this my phone is blocked with 3 colors bar and when I try to update, it start but only at 0%
I need to know all MTTY commands

I don't know if MTTY work with P3300, try with the flash from the SD card directly from the device...

obviously I have try a lot of times... But doesn't work!
I have try to rename in ARTEIMG.nbh and in a lot of different name but when I powe the phone it say Checking SD contents but nothing happen....
I would like to find a command to force reading of SD and writing to the Phone... but I think is not easy...

Do you try with another SD card?
This procedure is the same that the HTC Service use for repair the HTC device...
Try with another SD card... I have a Kingston 2Gbyte and it work very fine!

I have only 2 SanDisk SD cards. One of 128Mb and one of 2GB.
I have tryed with both. With Fat16 and Fat32 but nothing happen...

Sorry for your problems Pinco, I don't have a solution for that but i can strongly recommend another ROM from the great BigX, the one you can see in my signature. OS core seems to be more recent and ROM's almost perfect If you don't have any specific need to use the 2.0, go for Blue-X!

I connect my qtek with pc. I tried to install wwe rom - from german to english. I ws downloaded english rom but cant install coz i have problem with COUNTRY ERROR -ERROR 120 atfer that i install in qtek "MaUpgradeUt_noID".exe and after that my qtek go to hell.
when i done hard reset on the screen write only: Serial and v1.00!!!!
..............qtek is dead...................

Try to download "Exit Bootloader.exe" from wiki, conect the uni to USB and Run the applcation...
If you uni is death when the Bootloader is lost. I brick my Jasjar when the Bootloader was gone, dont worry Try to read more in the forum Universal WM6.

My Problem is, that i can only choose Com 1 to Com 3 in mtty 1.42 - Because of this i can't use the methode which is explained. - What i am making wrong? - I use a Sony Vaio Laptop for booting...

if you have the rom try tis out!
1.unzip the file!
2.put the rom-extended rom-radio(or whatever you need!) in this folder
3.when you'll connect the phone on the usb,on the screen you have to see "usb v1.01".
4.run the "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe"
5.wait till it will finish flashing!!
6.enjoy the new rom!!

qtek pu10 0r 9000 is freeze please big help
please big help / i just try to change language on my qtek 9000 and when the phone finish. and the screen freeze. and i off it and on it .and still the display show but freezing. and it can't connect to the active sync and pc /please help

Try a soft-reset first.
If not, you may have to hard-reset. You will lose all your data and programs you've installed and it will revert to factory state (or last flashed ROM).

I upgraded my O2 Zinc with Windows Mobile 6 that I downloaded from myxda for O2 Zinc.
After the installation...it reboot and stopped at the splash screen (the blue welcome screen). It is not restarting properly and it is not connecting to Active Sync so I cannot reinstall the OS. =( please help..anybody who knows how to resolve this? please please?
