english rom for dopod 900?

anyone has an english rom for dopod 900?
what can be the problems if i change the language rom, chinese to english? software incompatibility?

Hi,
I bought a Dopod 900 with a chinese ROM and flashed it with the JasJar ROM available on this site.
I did not experience any problems. The dopod bluetooth headset that came w ith my Dopod works fine and I also manage to use the voice commander through the headset to do voice dialing.
Actually the voice works with anything. I made a command for "calculator" to start up the calculator.
I've downloaded the game "Bejeweled 2" and it works fine.
I've experimented with the VGA hack, that works, but I get eye strain.
I've been talking to Dopod Singapore (www.dopodasia.com) about getting an english Dopod ROM from them but am still waiting for a response.
While the JasJar ROM works fine, I want to see what the other ROMs can do.
I havent tried the O2 Exec rom because I do not know how to use the NoID installer with the O2 installer.
With the JasJar ROM, the files were seperate from the executable, if anyone can point me to the O2 Exec ROM files which ARE usable with the NoID installer, please paste the URL here and I'll try that.

but i am still contemplating which might be a better rom

i ve been hesitant to buy the dopod coz all the dealers here in taiwan says there will be some software compatibilty and that they wont be giving me any warranty for the same.
but after coming to this forum, i see thr r ppl like u who have succefully flashed the rom!
but i am a lilttle sckeptical of changing the rom myself. as i am scared something might go wrong(as it is not a cheap toy). i am a total newbie and i dont read chinese at all.
so i will be very grateful if you or anyone can give me a step by step procedure of flashing the rom

ı bought a dopot which in chinese and than upgrade it to english but ı used meupgrade no id.. but its work greatknow and no proplem.

I have a QTEK9090 with Mobile Windows 2003 Second Edition, version 4.21.1088 Build 1045.2.6.0.
I need to know if I can update to WM5 or a version of this same system, I need to know where to obtain the updates and in my natural language that is Spanish, and all necessary software for its correct handling but in Spanish.
I have unloaded from his website several archives, among them the BA_SPA_DT_14003_158_11200, but it is the same version that I have in my QTEK and desire one better version or as I already said to do upgrade to WM5.
Serious of much taste for my all its aid and the Link that can provide me to unload all the needed one, until the manuals.

NOTE: If some of you speaks please Spanish I would like that she responds to me in this same language, is not by anything is that to me it becomes difficult to translate so much. :wink:

Procedure to upgrade an iPAQ hx2750

Hi All,
I'm going to live to another country and would like to change the language of my HP iPAQ hx2750 PPC, also would like to upgrade the software to WM5.
Does someone please can deail the step by step procedures to update the Windows 2003 SE in Castilian (aka. Spanish) to WM5 in English? Also, how risky are those changes?
I have the WM5 upgrade in English version and would like to backup the original ROM, just in case something goes wrong.

WM6 for rx1950

I have a hp rx1950, my ROM is 1.01.01 CHT, OS version is 5.1.1702, bootstrap 1.04, bootloader 1.05 and XIP 1.0.0.0
I want to upgrade to WM6, because it can not install Windows Live Messenger for Pocket PC.
So i decide to upgrade to WM6
English version is fine, Chinese version is better

Where can I get WM6 for my rx1950?

hi, there is a russian forum that have a wm6 rom, but you should take it as a beta version (wich may brick your pda). Saddly it seems to be in russian version (previous works were for wm5 english). Cannot trust google translate so if you can understand that language please tell me if it will work and which language it is.

Is there a WM5 X50v Portuguese ROM?

I`m trying to rollback my X50v back from WM6.1 EN to WM5 PT-BR because I`m giving it to my wife, and her English is even poor then mine.
I have the AximX50v_WM5_A00BR.IMG file released by Dell. So, I have to do one of the following things:
1 - Convert my .IMG file to a .NB0 (I tried the IMG2NB0F.exe app, but it gave me a 0Kb file) or download one;
2 – Downgrade my WM6 to a PPC2003SE PT-BR and so use the Dell WM5 PT-BR upgrade;
3 – Try to explain to my wife that I could not give to her a Portuguese version of the OS and throw away my holidays.
I will really appreciate a help that put me in one of the first two options.
I`m sorry for my poor English.
