I have a QTEK9090 with Mobile Windows 2003 Second Edition, version 4.21.1088 Build 1045.2.6.0.
I need to know if I can update to WM5 or a version of this same system, I need to know where to obtain the updates and in my natural language that is Spanish, and all necessary software for its correct handling but in Spanish.
I have unloaded from his website several archives, among them the BA_SPA_DT_14003_158_11200, but it is the same version that I have in my QTEK and desire one better version or as I already said to do upgrade to WM5.
Serious of much taste for my all its aid and the Link that can provide me to unload all the needed one, until the manuals.

I just ordered a MDA II from Germany, and willing to know more
As my country flag indicates, I'm from Finland, and I think the OS' language is german.
How can I update it to english? Will it work with my service provider? (sonera)
I've never had a one single pda, so I'm a big newbie in these things.
Of course I know about the computers more than an average person , but pda's are a mystery to me.
I tried to search some topics about updating,
and found lots of them, and learned a lot too.
But the topics I found did not consider changing the OS's language,
and that's a crucial thing for me, since I don't understand german at all

The language is changed with the update.
If you install a WWE (World Wide English) update your machine will be english.
You might need to change the header info using Er2003edit to let MDA2 think, that you install a german OS.

Received my unit 2 weeks ago in german as well.
Just installed the T mobile 1.72 Rom WWE without any changes.
It works great and in ENGLISH !!!

Ok, I don't know if this is the right forum for my question since my PDA is a Loox 720 (siemens fujitsu).
My problem is that I got my PDA from Germany, so, obviously the OS is in German.
I tried to download and install the English ROM (update) from Siemens' site however, it did not let me install because of the language version difference.
I wonder if there is any way to work around the language-protection so that it won't get in the way of installing the English ROM, or, if I can find, or even purchase, an English version of a WM 2003 ROM.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

As a user of Toshiba Portege G500, I'm already thirst enough to get a newer ROM such as WM6 or WM6.1 like some of you in this forum mentioned in the former posts. However after months of wait, some people in China mainland has already put some effort into this and they have successed to produce several version of WM6.1 ROM for this phone. They have also release a ROM kitchen for customization.
Unfortunately, they have add a Simplified Chinese MUI into the ROM but also remove the original English interface from the ROM. As I am a Hong Konger who use Traditional Chinese or English rather than the Simplified one, an Traditional Chinese or English version would be much more suitable for me.
Do you think it would help if I upload the ROM kitchen to here so that some experts here can work on a English version of the WM6.1 ROM with it? As people in those Chinese Forum seems not very interested in the English version, and I'm not really familiar in 'cooking' ROMs except downloading the kitchen from that Chinese website, I really hope some experts can help user of Toshiba Portege G500 to meet the trend of WM6.1. Thank you!

I want to upgrade to WM6, because it can not install Windows Live Messenger for Pocket PC.
So i decide to upgrade to WM6
English version is fine, Chinese version is better

hi, there is a russian forum that have a wm6 rom, but you should take it as a beta version (wich may brick your pda). Saddly it seems to be in russian version (previous works were for wm5 english). Cannot trust google translate so if you can understand that language please tell me if it will work and which language it is.

I recently purchased a HX2790b through the mail but the os is French (I can't read French and HP says the language can't be changed). What steps do I need to change the language to English and can the language change be done while I'm upgrading to the latest WM6.5 or do I need to change the language before I upgrade. Either way, can I use Vista for activesync or should I upgrade using XP? Sorry, I've always been a palm user and this windows mobile stuff is new to me. If someone can direct me to a step by step guide, I would much appreciate it. There are good guides for updating wm but they don't include changing the language change during the update. I've read some of the language posts but they say you have to rename file names but I don't know when or how and if I don't do it correctly, my ipaq could say language unknown and be stuck on a white screen. Please, if anyone can HELP!
