Send button does nothing from homescreen? - HTC Excalibur

My girlfriend and I both have a Dash, but hers does nothing when she hits the green send button. Mine goes to the call dialog screen. This only happens on her home screen, but it happens no matter the home screen (Windows Simple, OSX, Tmobile Default, etc...). Hitting the green send button when she is in Start or another program works as expected.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a plugin? I have far more installed than she does. Thanks for any help.

Did you try resetting it to default?

Yes. Both Widows Default and T-Mobile Default. Does anyone else have nothing happen when you hit the send button from your homescreen?

Call Button Doesn't Always Work?

I've just installed Schaps 3.54c on a friend's JasJam. She now has a strange issue where she turns the screen on, taps on the Today screen to unlock the device and then pressing the green phone button doesn't do anything. But if you tap Start then go into Programs or Settings and THEN try the green button, it works fine!
Has anyone experienced this?
i have notice this little bug now and again, i just have to click the ok button then i get all control back to the call button.
Not sure what causes it though.
Its like another proggy is running in the background.

Has anyone else experienced this? and how can i fix it??

I don't use IE as Opera is much better, but mine does the same, apparently no way to exit full screen without hitting one of the hardware keys to get out of it completely!

Sorry I'm being a dumbass.
Was getting confused cause the WM6.5 ROM on my HD is different (automatic full screen with button in corner) and I've only had the TP2 a week!
Tap and hold while full screened in IE to get the menu, select full screen again to go back to normal windowed mode
Shows how much I use IE
well of course that was the simple thing to do and i didn't do it!!!! gahhhh!!!
thanks!!!!

TF3D launches at startup but have to tap screen to display home screen.

When I boot up after reset or power off, the homescreen displays top task bar, bottom soft keys, and displays "launching TouchFlo3D..." and then... nothing. The screen stays like this until I tap it, and then it displays the home screen. Anybody else seeing this?
Even when just switching it on from a while on standby, I get a black screen.
I press the home or start buttons, and the home screen comes on ...... when it feels like it
I have never got no one to answer a question on here good luck...

Does touching the screen make it start?
I know that not turning off TF3D before installing some cabs can make it behave oddly- TF3D restarts, fails to launch at boot, etc...
Mine does the same thing except its just a plain screen until I touch it then it says launching tflo
Might have something to do with locking the device with a PIN/password. Try to disable that and see if many of your problems go away (switching to home screen on coming out of sleep or turning the screen on when in call and taking the phone away from the ear etc).

It has something to do with the PIN lock code, you're right.. now we just need someone to look into this further who knows how to troubleshoot these issues from the back-end.
Bump for more answers!

so i've tried checking on/off Today/Item/TF3D, tried Flight Mode, and it still won't work. i'm talking like only 30-50% of the time it does work. and I never had PIN1 enabled!
i'm no programmer but it is conflicting with apps we install because TF3D works perfectly when the phone was fresh or hard-resetted. btw i'm using 6.1 Stock T-mobile

It happens to me every now and then. When you hold down the search button and hit certain keys it acts like a shortcut. Search + g = gmail. I don't have to restart the phone, just hit the search button to clear up the stuck key/input. Also I think you can disable these shortcuts in the settings menu.

return to last app after screen timeout...

I'm new to Android phones (iPhone convert). Anyway, I started with the GSIII and then switched to this bad boy... I believe that with the SIII when the screen would time out and you hit the home button right away it would just stay on the screen (app) that I was last using before it timed out. But, with the Note 2, it takes me back to the home screen and I have to re-launch the app - very annoying. How do I fix this?
anyone???
I had experienced the same. It has something to do with the S voice.
on S voice setting, Did you uncheck the "open via home key" to fix home button lag?
If you did, then everytime your screen time out and you push home button right away it will take you back to your home instead of turning the backlight on the last app.
but if you didnt but still having the issue, then im out of help here. goodluck ...
