Has anyone else had this problem,
I set me alarm for example at 8:30am, the silly thing rings at 7:30am.
This has happened to me for a few days now. i don't know how this problem came about, i have not installed anything or changed anything with the handset since it was working fine.
Also i have turned the alarms off and the handset still rings at the time i set before.
I tried changing the time and it still rings at the original time set.
This is bugging me as every morning my phone rings at a specific time with 3 alarms 5 minutes apart.
I have tried to replicate this problem by setting the alarm an hour ahead with 5 mins to spare (to the actual time) and the alarm does not ring :S
i am so confused with this problem and if anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks guys n gals
I will go out on a limb here and guess that you have the timezone incorrect. Check to see that your time is set to the correct time zone, i.e. pacific/central/ eastern/ mountain here in America. Not sure of your Location. Let me know but I am pretty sure thats your problem
Hi thanks for the reply,
My timezones are set correct GMT London, and visiting time zone is correct also, i tried to solve the problem by setting this to London also. This did not work.
i am using the version of WM6 B&B.

Which version of B&B?
Activesync?
If the time changes after u sync, check to see if the time zone in ur PC is also same
B&B version 4.0
and the timezone on PC is also correct
The sync does not effect the time
thank you

resetting clock...
Hi. When i first got my HTC P3300, it did the same every time i syncronised it, i called the sales man and he said it wat an error from Microsoft..
I think there is an update that solves it...
Hovever you can just mark the clock as "Visit" instead of "home", then the problem is solved (i´m not sure its called Visit and home because i run the Danish version of VM5)
Best regards MicTh
This is a know issue.
Set both timezones(Home and away) to the same timezone.
This should fix the problem.
Hello,
I've got a bit of a problem here. Few weeks ago we changed time because of the Daylight Saving, my mobile didn't do it automatically because every time I restart it changes the timezone to (GMT+2) Windhoek, and not the Sofia timezone (it seems they don't change time there. I've fixed that, but the problem is that, with the time change, the device changed the time of my appointments. When I edit them, it still says 9:30, but it sets the appointment for 10:30. Any suggestion how to repair that? I'm using Schap's 4.30 ROM, and I'll update to 4.31 now (I've done it some time ago, but had problems, that's why I dongraded to 4.30).
I've had similar problem.
Key issue was the Automatic Time Zone change on mobile phone settings, because it seems that not all mobile provider use a good setting. So I unchecked it, and change it myself.
Moreover, in fact you have TWO parameters; first one is your timze zone and second one is the time by itself.
As soon as you will upgrade to the very good Schap's 4.31, first adjust your TimeZone and then you time and when you will synchronise with Outlook erything will be OK.
Regards
Yep, I've done some experimenting and done that, it works now, thanks.
Yes, even though its a real PIA, I always turn off Auto Time Zone from my provider and manually set it. I even manually change to a different time zone and back if it originally got it's info from the carrier before I setup my ActiveSync.
I posted this a while back regarding this.
So, where do I find the setting to disable my Imate JASJAM to get time zone info from my carrier?

Settings\Personal\Phone\Time Zones. If you don't see that tab it's most likely not enabled....
Thanks for your helpful guidance
I have a Tilt 2 on AT&T with the European 6.5 ROM. Today starts DST in California and my phone did not update. If I manually set it to the correct time, within an hour it reverts back to the old time.
Is there a registry setting or patch for this?
Thanks!
There was one for the Wizard device, back when the dates of DST were changed...but I will be honest, I do not know if the Wizard tweak will work for the Rhodium.
Point is, if they were able to do one for the Wizard, there is hope that someone can do it for the Rhodium now (if it hasn't already been addressed).
Good Luck.
EDIT--

After going through my old device (Wizard) threads, I found the cab. Give it a try. I am not sure if it will work or not on the Rhodium, so use at your own risk.

If you have it set to automatically update it could be your providers time is wrong! Settings, Personal, Phone, Time Zones tab. If set to automatic I bet your cell providers time is wrong, I've had that happen here before.

And we have a winner. My phone was not set to automatic. Changed the setting and voila! It works!
My country is Pakistan.
Its time zone is GMT + 5
But in my HTC Desire, its set as GMT + 6.
Due to this many things, most importantly received/sent SMS are not appearing correctly (they are not being sorted correctly according to time because my and sender's time zone are misaligned) ....
I have tried setting clock to network provided value, but it is not making any difference.
Can any one please help me on this, as this is most annoying feature of this phone. Other wise I love it...
Yup! Im stuck with the same issue
Can we modify time zone settings for a country?
yup i have the same issue. i just turned off automatic updates for time...
i think as pakistan tried daylight saving then undid it caused the problem
:sigh: dont know any solution
it should be +5 GMT !!
i don't know bout you but on my sense ui, the sun rise and sun set are 2 hrs delayed.
One more thing it's a problem with android not HTC desire !
On my Samsung galaxy I have the same problem
If you turn off automatic network set time and choose your timezone there, it should stick fine.

Hi, I've noticed that after 1.1. 2013, the time on my Touch Pro 2 keeps getting messed up. For example, it's 12:27. On my phone, it's 14:27. Every time I adjust the time manually, it updates back to wrong time within an our or less. I tried changing my GMT (the correct one is GMT+1, but it changes too plus it changes time of my appointments.
I am not the only one with this problem, my friend keeps getting three hours forward instead of two like I do.
Any solutions to this problem, please?

Time on the phone should be provided over and synced to the network. Have you called your provided to see if they are having any issues with their network/servers?

I've heard some GSM provider's flat-out don't do this... So if the OP is in a small country or something with a small GSM provider... yea.
With CDMA, the network time is always provided. Whether it's always accurate or not... is another issue . I've never really had much issue with Sprint providing the right time - even when I am traveling... Phone has always shown the correct time - so long as I have service.

I bet there is an app you can get that will sync the phone to an atomic clock somewhere.
Well, I tried gTimeSync, but the thing is, I still have to update the time after restart. :-/ Well, at least I can correctly update time.
I have the same problem on the same phone, Hungarian Vodafone card..
Somtimes the clock is 1 hour out, sometimes 2... If I change the GMT+ setting, it is going back to the Hungarian one..
Windows Mobile problem I think, same problem with 2 different Vodafone cards, the cards are OK in my HTC HD2.
A registry hack maybe?
Solution!

The answer to my problem was this picture - http://www.mydigitallife.us/time zone setting.jpg from another topic here on xda forums.
Start - Settings - Personal - Phone - Time Zones - "Automatic change of time zone and clock." - unlock this option and there is our salvation.
Unfortunately, the time probably won't change automatically from summer/winter time, but it's still better than having permanently incorrect time.
Well, see you when I come up to another problem or I just happen to roam these forums.
