I have a Tilt 2 on AT&T with the European 6.5 ROM. Today starts DST in California and my phone did not update. If I manually set it to the correct time, within an hour it reverts back to the old time.
Is there a registry setting or patch for this?
Thanks!
There was one for the Wizard device, back when the dates of DST were changed...but I will be honest, I do not know if the Wizard tweak will work for the Rhodium.
Point is, if they were able to do one for the Wizard, there is hope that someone can do it for the Rhodium now (if it hasn't already been addressed).
Good Luck.
EDIT--

After going through my old device (Wizard) threads, I found the cab. Give it a try. I am not sure if it will work or not on the Rhodium, so use at your own risk.

If you have it set to automatically update it could be your providers time is wrong! Settings, Personal, Phone, Time Zones tab. If set to automatic I bet your cell providers time is wrong, I've had that happen here before.

And we have a winner. My phone was not set to automatic. Changed the setting and voila! It works!

When I reboot my phone it goes to mountain time. I live in Pacific time but it keeps defaulting? Any ideas?
Mine too. It changes to Moscow althouth I select +2GMT. This happens only with Schaps ROM. I tried official, VP3G and it was ok.

does anyone know how to fix this?
Mine has been changing to -6 from -7 on it's own the last few days too.
My only solution was to disable the get time and date from the provider option.
Haven't had a problem since.
I am assuming they have a tower pushing out the wrong timezone or something.

Where would I find that option?
Start, Settings, Phone.
Then make your way over to the Time Zones tab and un-check the box.

Some users might report this tab doesn't exist. If it doesn't, a reg edit is needed to enable it.

I dont have that tab. I know how to reg edit but where do I find it and what should I change?
Timezone and time update
In the branch HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting Change the value of the Key "ShowTimeZonesPage" to value of 1 (dword). Close your registry editor (no reset required) and tap START-SETTINGS-PHONE, there should be a new tab where you can automatically set the phone to get time and timezone information from the network. Really useful for me as I do extensive travelling. Tested on WM5

Even after disabling this, mine still changes
Mine is a slightly unusual issue but is related to the timezone issue.
I live in Sydney, Australia (GMT +10) and my phone keeps reverting BACK to Vladivostok (GMT +10) which you may say is 'so what...they are the same time zones' but the issue is daylight savings which makes Sydney effectively +11 and when the phone reverts to my mate Vlad...the times are out by an hour.
As this is my diary 'brain' its beginning to become quite an issue.
Also using Schaps 4.20 ROM in a Dopod 838Pro.
Otherwise great ROM
Cheers Spocky
sync time isues?
This is because the time zone between your computer & pda are different.
I face this problem with the WM6 ROMs that I have tried on Hermes. After 'a while' the time zone changes to GMT+1. The time does not change. A reset fixes this problem. I am not sure what triggers the change. I have tried this with the bare ROMs without any add-on cabs.
Apologies if this has been asked before. My search in the forum did not hit a close match to my problem.

Are you using it in India (as according to your profile) or in Europe?
When you set your timezone in 'Start>Settings>System>Clock and Alarms' do you set it to your region, ie New Delhi +5.30 ??

I am using in India, and I set the timezone to New Delhi +5.30. When the problem occurs, and I reset the phone, the timezone comes back to New Delhi +5.30

Are you using any 3rd party applications which involve the time?? Also have you noticed is it after you have synched with push mail or your PC?
I noticed the problem after flashing the ROM and my favourite applications. To test things, I have used just the ROMs in the past week; the problem still occurs. The ROMs that I have used are vp3g's version of AT&T, Schaps 4.2x and 4.3x, and Shamanix 1.0 and 2.0 I don't remember having this problem with vp3g's 3.61 ROM, but I may not have used it long enough.
I don't use push mail. Syncing with the PC does not affect the problem either way.
A quirky thing that I noticed is that my phone somehow retains the GMT+5.30 timezone during resets and ROM flashes; after I flash a ROM, the startup prompt shows the GMT+5.30 timezone and the correct time. Is this a feature in Hermes - the timezone gets stored in an area not touched by ROM flashes?

Hello,
I've got a bit of a problem here. Few weeks ago we changed time because of the Daylight Saving, my mobile didn't do it automatically because every time I restart it changes the timezone to (GMT+2) Windhoek, and not the Sofia timezone (it seems they don't change time there. I've fixed that, but the problem is that, with the time change, the device changed the time of my appointments. When I edit them, it still says 9:30, but it sets the appointment for 10:30. Any suggestion how to repair that? I'm using Schap's 4.30 ROM, and I'll update to 4.31 now (I've done it some time ago, but had problems, that's why I dongraded to 4.30).
I've had similar problem.
Key issue was the Automatic Time Zone change on mobile phone settings, because it seems that not all mobile provider use a good setting. So I unchecked it, and change it myself.
Moreover, in fact you have TWO parameters; first one is your timze zone and second one is the time by itself.
As soon as you will upgrade to the very good Schap's 4.31, first adjust your TimeZone and then you time and when you will synchronise with Outlook erything will be OK.
Regards
Yep, I've done some experimenting and done that, it works now, thanks.
Yes, even though its a real PIA, I always turn off Auto Time Zone from my provider and manually set it. I even manually change to a different time zone and back if it originally got it's info from the carrier before I setup my ActiveSync.
I posted this a while back regarding this.
So, where do I find the setting to disable my Imate JASJAM to get time zone info from my carrier?

Settings\Personal\Phone\Time Zones. If you don't see that tab it's most likely not enabled....
Thanks for your helpful guidance
I was reading this guy's page (http://hackaddict.blogspot.com/2007/06/tutorial-iphone-windows-mobile-skin.html)
when I came across him mentioning that via a registry setting you can keep your phone's time correct automatically via cell phone tower info.
"Open PHM Registry Editor
Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Phone Setting
Change the "ShowTimeZone" value from 0 to 1
Now navigate to Settings\Phone\Time Zones tab. Check the "Automatic change time zone and clock." box. Your phone will now automatically set the time for you."
Is this true, and if so how exactly do I do this, because I don't get the check box on my P3300 that he's talking about.
Any clues?
Chech it again...

I read the same blog, It works on my imate pocket pc (Himalaya wm6.1) Once you do the registry change, soft reset your phone, then Go to phone settings. You will now get a new tab "Time Zones" You may probably need to scrol to right to see this tab.

I have found that this works accross europe but not in the uk. (T-mobile anyway) when i go to europe the time zone is updated but on arrival back in uk i have to reset it manually
PS I also have a vodafone sim so i will try it this week and post findings
Thanks, I've tried to set this but don't get the extra tab. The setting is definitely changed correctly in the registry, but when I go to the phone settings (WM6.1) the only tabs I see are:
1)Phone
2)Security
3)Services
4)Network
5)PIN
6)More
I don't see a time zone tab, even if I scroll full right. Are you sure it's in the start\settings\phone area?

Works on mine.
I install the Registor editor - change the value, check the box in the "Time Zone" and did a soft-reset and automatically the phone adjust the time!
not working on my artemis
Not working on my artemis
Not working on O2 Orbit. No adjust time automatically setting. Installed TimeSync instead.
I don't think so...at least it does't work on my cell phone.
Hi, I've noticed that after 1.1. 2013, the time on my Touch Pro 2 keeps getting messed up. For example, it's 12:27. On my phone, it's 14:27. Every time I adjust the time manually, it updates back to wrong time within an our or less. I tried changing my GMT (the correct one is GMT+1, but it changes too plus it changes time of my appointments.
I am not the only one with this problem, my friend keeps getting three hours forward instead of two like I do.
Any solutions to this problem, please?

Time on the phone should be provided over and synced to the network. Have you called your provided to see if they are having any issues with their network/servers?

I've heard some GSM provider's flat-out don't do this... So if the OP is in a small country or something with a small GSM provider... yea.
With CDMA, the network time is always provided. Whether it's always accurate or not... is another issue . I've never really had much issue with Sprint providing the right time - even when I am traveling... Phone has always shown the correct time - so long as I have service.

I bet there is an app you can get that will sync the phone to an atomic clock somewhere.
Well, I tried gTimeSync, but the thing is, I still have to update the time after restart. :-/ Well, at least I can correctly update time.
I have the same problem on the same phone, Hungarian Vodafone card..
Somtimes the clock is 1 hour out, sometimes 2... If I change the GMT+ setting, it is going back to the Hungarian one..
Windows Mobile problem I think, same problem with 2 different Vodafone cards, the cards are OK in my HTC HD2.
A registry hack maybe?
Solution!

The answer to my problem was this picture - http://www.mydigitallife.us/time zone setting.jpg from another topic here on xda forums.
Start - Settings - Personal - Phone - Time Zones - "Automatic change of time zone and clock." - unlock this option and there is our salvation.
Unfortunately, the time probably won't change automatically from summer/winter time, but it's still better than having permanently incorrect time.
Well, see you when I come up to another problem or I just happen to roam these forums.
