After installing BB4.1 to my M700,it stop after the boot screen. Here is
the problem text: .....device started up failure due to sudden loss of power.......
Power : 100%
Anyone can help me?
I had that a long time ago with another rom so the memory is a little hazy.
The touch screen will be disabled, click the soft key under 'continue' or 'yes' (can't remember)
It should then boot up. You may then want to try and re-flash.
i had been try 4 times! when i press "yes" on that screen, it reboots and that screen appears again.
i am so unlucky . what a wonderful rom but i feel it!
reset holding the top left button. You'll go into the boot loader screen. Then Reflash
But the same rom the same problem. I have return to BB 4.0 and keeping waiting for an answer!

I flashed Hard SPL 1.34 then upgraded the radio to 25.05 then put on Bepe's 0.95 ROM
It worked for a while, then started to crash and needed to press the reset button to boot it up.
Now it won't move from the Touch Diamond startup screen when I boot it up, then turns off. Can't hard reset, and can't enter bootloader.
Any ideas? I just suddenly did this, also, it doesn't have the original vendor ROM on it so if I send it back, what's the chances of them getting into it and then saying a big FO because I messed with it?

What happens when you try to enter bootloader mode? Have you tried removing the battery for a while?
bootloader is volume down and reset yes?

Yes, korrect
diddly squat, not even any ROM id's coming up on boot screen. I think it's bricked
Hard reset is volume down + enter (round key) and red reset button. Keep down the first two until you see the reset screen

Can you be a little more descriptive? What exactly happens? Does the phone reset at all?
Did you hold volume down for a few seconds? Just pressing it while you hit the reset button is not enough. You need to hold it down until the tri-color bootloader appears. That's usually around 5 seconds.
Edit:
Clarification: You press volume down and hold it. Then you shortly push down the reset button with the stylus, while still holding the volume down button. You can release the volume down button after the tri-color screen appears. (or after 10 seconds if it's really not coming up)
Should it come up, you can use the chance to flash another ROM. If that's giving you trouble, see the link in my signature.
Ok, here's what happens
If I press the power button, it vibrates, Touch Diamond comes up, no ROM info, stays for a few seconds, disappears, phone is then off again.
Holding volume down, pressing reset button, nothing happens, phone doesn't power on, volume down held for 10 seconds, nothing happens
Holding volume down and action button, then pressing reset button, again nothing happens at all.
I successfully hard resetted the phone with the official ROM, but since installing Bepe's 0.95 I hadn't attempted a hard reset, but I had rebooted the phone successfully before this problem occured
Okay, in the off state the reset button will not function.
What you could try is turning it on and immediately afterwards follow the bootloder-procedure.
Also I did a quick search. The following threads might or might not be related and help you (I didn't read them, too late for me tonight):

I realize they're for different phones, but that might not make such a big difference in this case...
also, can you confirm that you successfully flashed hard-spl before this? as in, you manually went to bootloader and saw that it had changed to hard spl?
Try this....
might seem stupid but your phone is also acting as it would with a 99% flat battery........phone just starts then dies.......
Stupid question......put it on charge for a couple hours...you never know....it might be the problem you have
Well I came to start it up this morning after leaving it on a shelf all night with distain and it booted up fine.
So I'm going to flash the official ROM, and other stuff back to factory and send it back. there's obviously something wrong with it somewhere.
Thanks for all the help guys, let's hope my next diamond is a bit more well behaved.
phone does not boot up
Hi, i got a prob with my phone, when i power it on it gives me that display with the 4 colors(red, green, blue and white), i have tried hard reset but it does not help, can anyone assist.
Hello, this is my first post here. I tried to install Windows Mobile 6.5 as indicated in Gizmodo http://gizmodo.com/5281397/how-to-install-windows-mobile-65-right-now but it didn't work and now my phone won't boot.
The phone is an HTC Touch Diamond from Sprint. I followed all the steps indicated and everything look fine, but after installing the OS the phone displays the screen TOUCH DIAMOND, and then restarts and displays the same thing. I'm able to get into the boot loader (Tri color screen) and says:
DIAM500
SPL-0.57.CMONEX
MicroP-Diam (LED) vB
PSOC-Diam STAGE_EVT v20.
I don't know what to do now
Thanks
try to load back to default setting by pressing the power on button at the top of the phone, before the "Touch Diamond" logo come up, press and hold volume down button and the center button until the three color screen come out, then release the two button you are pressing..
if the problem still happen, that mean the rom you are using should have risk on it..
give it up and try other rom or flash it again..
hope my suggestion can help you solve the problem..
dont worry.
if bootloader is possible as you write
than you can flash all time orig. rom back.

Hi I have the same issue on my HTC Diamond. I flashed wm 6.5 and it was working fine, then it hanged on titanum weather. I reset and it stayed on the HTC Diamond page, I did hard reset and got the Olinex 1.40 3 color page. It does respond from serial to usb when I plug/unplug. Can I reflash without active sync?
Turns out I was able to flash, but both roms I tried work well on 1st install, but stay stuck on the Touch Diamond screen everytime I restart de device. Is it a problem with the radio not compatible , or is there a specific Hspl for each ROM???
I found solution for this problem. If your diamond won't boot go to bootloader mode and upgrade your radio http://modmydiamond.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=26 and after that your dimond worked fine without loosing data.
try to hard reset the phone by pressing vol down key + the center button + reset button.
if the problem is still like dat..
try to install another rom..

Thanks davidwong007 for your help, I was experiencing the same issue as op and your method did the trick. For a minute there I thought I had bricked my HTC Touch. I did step by step what you suggested and ended up in the rainbox screen, once I was able to do that, I knew there was a hope. i did a full factory reset of the phone and voila the phone fully booted, the pain in the butt touchflow loaded. Very important thing I forgot to do in the past is to back up my phone, after the restore you will lose everything on phone, except what is in the internal storage. Thanks again.
Hi Guyz, Just bought a Touch HD and 1st thing i did was configure a 4 digit password. Since i live in china and Chinese for texting, i went on to try to install a old version of CE-Star (wm2003) on it, installation went fine, finally was prompted to do soft-reset, i did so, and then things went haywire, after coming out of reset the device diasplayed the initial password screen came up, realized that i cannot type in screen (totally un-responsive) and nor clicking on below 4 hardware butons causes any effect. I cannot enter into my device and hence cant do anything, stuck. Both Soft-reset nor even the Hard-reset surprisingly does not work (at wits end to get out of this dilemma, pls help). Pls help to resolve. Thanks.
if hard reset didn't work i think that this means that you have a faulty touch screen!
but i think you have not done Hard reset right,
do the following,
turn off the device
hold down vol up & vol down
press and release (only single click) the power button and wait for the instructions on the screen.
follow the instructions on screen untill the phone reboots.
i hope this will help
Well Hello there, my name is poszy and i am having a very difficult experience.
So about a week ago i rooted my Acer A100 because i wanted cynogenmod, (i was running stock ICS)Long story short i bricked my tablet because CWM froze while i was wiping my tablet.
i did all of the following
1.) Rooted Tablet
2.) unlocked bootloader
3.) installed clockwork
All of these steps were done with the methods found here, Maybe it bricked because i was on Stock.
Anyways, i was lucky enough that my tablet only bricked to the point where it only looped during the android logo.
I am able to access the bootloader, but as soon as i tried to go back to ICS stock (because that was the only rom i could go back to and try to bring my tab back to life) that locked the bootloader. so now i have the stock bootloader. Everytime i try and flash a stock ICS update.zip it does not go past the android logo.
So i tried to flash the Honeycomb stock Acer_A100_1.014.08_COM_GEN1 Via stock recovery, and it all flashes well but for some reason it keeps asking me for a password.
i obtained the Acer_A100_1.014.08_COM_GEN1 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307046
Stock Recovery seems to be working fine because when i power on my tab it loads into honeycomb but i cant get past the first screen because it keeps asking me for a password. :crying:
i have tried to do a hard reset with the pinhole but that does not do anything. Every Honeycomb stock rom i try to recover from always tells me to enter a password and every ICS rom i try to flash with the default recovery will not boot past the android logo.
on honeycomb i cannot do anything, i cant mount storage or access app drawer or anything because the pinlock dosent allow me to.
Can someone please help me and tell me what im doing wrong?
i was fortunate enough to make a nandroid of my ICS stock rom, but thats no use with a stock recovery right?
Since you flashed a stock rom, you should have a stock recovery, locked bootloader and unrooted. So you should be good to go, to just do a normal factory reset. To get rid of the pin lock.
-----------------------------
-Press and hold the Volume up button. Which is located farthest from the corner.
-While still holding the Volume up button, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds and then immediately release it. Continue holding the Volume up button.
-The tablet will vibrate in approximately 1-2 seconds after you release the power button, once you feel or hear this vibration, slide the screen lock switch on and off repeatedly while continuing to hold the Volume up button.
-As soon as the Erasing Userdata... message appears in the upper left corner of the screen, release the Volume up button and stop sliding the screen lock switch. You should then also see the Erasing Cache... message below that as proof that your device is being wiped.
Many thanks

HOOOPLAA!!!! :highfive: thanks alot that worked perfectly! my tab is back to 3.2.1. Thanks alot!!
So I'm running CM 10.2 android version 4.3 and I started to notice that when I pressed the power button, it brought up the reboot menu instead putting my screen to sleep so I downloaded the newest nightly and figured it was probably just a bug and went to flash the latest nightly. Upon reboot, my phone got in an infinite bootloop so I pulled the battery, let it sit for a minute and then held the power, volume up and menu button to enter recovery. I got the blue words in corner that you will normally see when booting into recovery, then saw the S3 screen that you'll see right before entering recovery, however, my phone started rebooting again constantly vibrating etc. So then I decided to try and get into download and flash back to stock with Odin. So I entered download mode, pressed volume up on the confirm screen and then it entered download mode and then immediately rebooted and wouldn't stop. Is my phone bricked? I'm wondering if the power button is broken since when in download mode, it reboots which normally occurs when you hold the power button in download mode. Sorry for the long description but just wanted you guys to know what I've done so far and am experiencing. Any help is appreciated. I've been rooting phones from all manufacturers for years now and I'm out of ideas at this point. Thanks!
Definition of a bricked phone: A completely unresponsive device which doesn't turn on at all. Doesn't vibrate upon start up and doesn't have any signs of life.
You most likely have a jammed power button as that has been the issue with the GS3. Not a brick.
Clearly not bricked as the first reply explained. And for the love of god, please use some white space (paragraphs) next time.
If you think that a button is jammed, see if you can physically unjam it without causing damage. If you believe that the flash may be messed up, the mskip's Samsung Toolkit may be able to reflash a known good ROM even with a stuck button. And look into some of the button remapping apps like the aptly titled Fix Broken Power Button app.
Good luck.
