WPA2

Hi
This extracted CAB install is from the recently released HTC AKU 3 Official Update Released ROM 2.11.255 WWE. It adds WPA2 functionality (and possibly other things - not sure yet). I've installed this to the Windows Mobile VI - Black Edition v1.1 and seemed to go smoothly. I can't test whether WPA2 works yet as I need to be at work to do this.

Yes - seems to have AES encryption.

This also works fine with the old HTC WWE WM5 2.05 ROM (AKU 3.3). Installed, soft resetted, WPA2 on WM5. Thanks for extracting, drddrd!

What do you mean with HTC 2.06? Is that Aku 2.3, 2.6 or 3.x? The only reason I would upgrade to this aku 3.3 or WM6 with this patch is WPA-AES. I've still got a very old O2 Germany Rom (Aku 2.3) on my phone. If I could just use this cab to get WPA-AES, I would wait another few weeks until WM6 is really stable.
What happened when you say it doesn't work with your ROM? Was the WiFi part as a whole not usable any more or was it just like before without AES?

Thanks chenga. That's what I feared. I read somewhere, that AES is only possible with Aku 2.6 and newer. The Cab doen't seem to change anything regarding that restriction of Aku 2.3.
Means for me: Being brave and flashing my hermes for the first time with a cooked ROM... ;-)

You dont have to use a cooked ROM. You could go for the new Leaf Wireless AKU 3.3 release. To be honest though i would go for a WM6 release if you are gonna flash. Seems (for me) to be just as stable or better than official releases.

Great news...
On WM5 (the one that comes standard on the HTC TyTN, AKU 2.x), it doesn't add WPA2 though.
It did add AES to the already present WPA though.
Well, at least I now have found my first solid reason to upgrade.

Dell Axim X51v ROM by Football&mun_rus

I am glad to you will present a ROM. After many attempts and researches, I together with mun_rus, misar and other people have created this ROM on the basis of AKU 3.5.2.

What I delete from ROM:
1.It was removed Transcriber.
2.MSN Messendger.
Bugs:
1.Notification windows not at center(use fix ti resolve this problem)
How to install my ROM:
1. To unpack an insertion in root SD of a card it there should be in FAT32 differently an insertion will not begin.
2. To press simultaneously WI-FI+POWER+RESET
3. Not releasing buttons Wi-Fi+POWER to wait window occurrences bootloader.
4. Continue installation.
Fix notification windows(Thanks paveld)
Fix VGAKEY bug(Thanks Metazoa)

Can you plz upload the dll files so that we can change the system icons? It is possible to change them by replacing the original files in windows folder, right?

Yes it's possible, copy shellres192.dll from windows folder and use reshacker to replace icons,after use Resco Explorer and replace original shellres.Then reboot device and you have new icons in your device.But if you have problems install cab from attach.

I too have a X51v as well besides the HTC Blueangel and find AKU 2.3.0 from Dell's A12 ROM tired and boring.

The Axim X51v is produced by HTC for DELL, you can see on the ABOUT tab of WLAN utility that it's made by High Tech Computers (HTC).

Will this work on a axil x30 or does anyone know of any wm6 cooked rom for this. I still have this old model and thought I could maybe upgrade it to make it usable again

i just wanted to say, thanks football, i havn't tried your rom yet, but when CF is fixed, i likely will. i was referenced to this thread from aximsite, and i'm signed in here for a different reason.
anyways, keep up the awesome stuff. i'll keep tuned in for the updated (CF Working) version, and the WM6 build (if there ever is one )

I installed the ROM and a german axim and everything (besides CF) works. The axim is now way faster, more stable and I got more free memory.

I am pretty sure I said that....but I am only going to try it if BT is working....I am not going to bother re-flashing if it isn't as it doesn't suit my needs then.

Hmmm the same problem I had with PDAVIET38, apparently there is a BT fix in the Extended ROM, yet when I extracted the nbh to modify the header for use on P3600i it did not show any Extended ROM.
Possibly this is creating a problem with the BT fix, hence we are getting hardware errors on P3600i.
Could be the same on this build.

I flash it to my p3600i,and it autoconfigure from the extended rom,but not include BT FIX,I don`t know why still had BT problem in V39,

Hmm thanks poggiami, I extracted the nb's from the nbh last night and again...there is no extended ROM using nbhextract. Might try dumping the ROM using one of the cooking sets and see what happens then.
I notice that in V36 & V37 there doesn't appear to be an extended ROM as once it flashes that is it...nothing more happens. Have you had any response in the PDAViet forum?

I confirm, BT A2DP is working fine as it did < ~ v.34 (I cant remember). the last few roms have had the BT pairing problem. In this rom, it is solved and BT A2DP works flawlessly as ususal, P3600.

I test in P3600i BT when find device,said hardware error, just like V38`s problem

It worked fine for me, but I ran into the Passwords being lost bug, so flashed back to my favorite. (see sig) Otherwise, very fast, and clean.

i tested the rom but in my openion, i thank that the update 27/1/09 is better than 28/1/09

I am facing some issues with the Notepad, When i try to open txt file, i get a error message " file not found. and when I try to open from the software it does't list the file.
Apart from this above issue, This ROM is really good and works Very fine.

I don't have any problem with this release, just "usual" Internet explorer error when i am connected to the computer. This rom is fast,stable .Another great job!!

5221109 is the most latest WM6.1 rom (as i know) it also gets rid of the slow scrolling with directional keypad... there are a lot of changes in this rom, you can search around for a official M$'s what's new documentation about this version of WM6.1 build...
It is just a matter of time that there was a time when people were dying to flash their PDAL devices with even WM6 but now they have a lot of choices between different OSs with different versions... lol isn't that amazing?

Install the attached file and restart your device, Wireless will be on your today screen...

It's a real wm 6.5.
The rom was cooked by me, and it's Chinese version. The sys and xip are all 21189. And I will update the sys and xip into 21193 soon.

Yes, the old method for wm6.1 doesn't work on WM 6.5.
So, currently, there is no solution to avoid the CURSOR problem.

VoIP sw working

A part from the UI and today changes, is there any possibility that WM 6.5 will be able to manage VoIP sw (like skype, fring, Nimbuzz.....) via regular earpiece instead of rear speaker only?
What about WM integreated VoIP SIP client? Is it there and hidden like for WM 6/6.1? Anybody tryed it?

First of all, thank for the great 6.5 rom. I'm currently using the yahei version 2 as cooked by you. Btw, do you have the english version rom?

v2 那个版本不错下，就鼠标的问题还是存在。
v2 is not bad, just the matter of cursor issue...

the rom is good, but for me chinese is inusable
the square with mouse isn't a big problem
but I would like a rom with old dll driver mouse is it possible?
another request: in a new version, can you restore all connection?! my i780 try to connect to your GSM provider.
