Hi there,
I've got a JasJar running WM6 and it happily runs stereo music on my Motorola HT820 bluetooth headset. I also have Sony BT2500 car stereo system which supports bluetooth phone as well as A2DP. with my HT820, I just turn the headset on and jasjar sees the headset and connects to it, but with the BT2500 only the phone part is automatically connected. if I want to listen to music I have to (on my jasjar) go to settings/connections/bluetooth and tap and hold on my xplod (my sony BT2500) and set it as wireless stereo.
is there any way to avoid this step (as I'm usually driving when i have to do this)? if not, is there an easy way to do it with one hand and no tap and hold ?
Cheers,
Shafa

I've recently acquired one of these headsets and have managed 2 pair it with my O2 XDA II mini. However, i am unable to stream music to the headset but am able to answer calls and make them too. Does anyone know how i could stream music from my phone to my headset?
if you check in the forum for your pda, i believe you will find you have to upgrade your bluetooth software?
then you will find new menu's in the bluetooth settings including audio/audio streaming.
have the headphones, and am very pleased
already have da software
Hey, i already have the software but the thing is nothing appears in the box labelled "default headset" even after i have paired the device with my XDA. And whenever i try 2 stream music, it initially says connecting but eventually the connection fails and the music does not stream to my headset. Does anyone know how i can get the headset to appear in the default headset drop down box?
when you paired the h/set & phone, what choices did you get?
When I turn my headphones on, my handsfree part pairs but my stereo part won't pair automatically, usually. I just connect it manually, but sometimes it won't just connect so I have to disconnect the handsfree part before I connect the stereo part then reconnect the handsfree part. Occassionally, I have to repeat more than once.
Pair it to the device you want stereo from, start the default "Headset" system for normal talking, press the left multifunction to terminate the connection to the "headset" profile, then press the right multifunction button to trigger the "stereo headset" profile to start.
Or, try to force it after pairing and then press the rightmultifunction to accept the connection and have the device bind that call to that function, enabling and disabling the stereo data.
I had to do the first part with my new HP iPAQ hx2495 to get the stereo headset profile going when i installed the headset as both stereo and regular.
I finally got my HT820 working
I have a T-mobile US MDA.
I first upgraded to ROM 2.24 which supports A2DP, which is what the headset uses for sound other than the phone. (When you flash your ROM it intalls all new boot up software so it changes your hard-reset process, and you lose your support.) Then I paired. You should see the services the headset offers, handsfree and stereo. There's also a menu available when you hold-slelect the name of the BT device in the device list that's handy.
I did discover that it is a headset problem if the sound skips out irratically averaging about 20 seconds. There was a bad batch sent out to/from Hong Kong. Motorola is replacing mine, but I had to pay to ship it to them.
Hope this helps!
I don't want to hijack your thread but I don't know where else to turn. I have requested help elswhere on this forum for my problem but I can't seem to get any help.
I have a ht820 and a cingular 8125. I've been able to pair the headset with my phone but, when I try to play a mp3, the voice speed dial comes up, the mp3 plays for about 3 seconds, then the mp3 audio reverts back to the phone.
Do I have to flash to a different rom, do I have to tweak registry settings? I don't really have a clue what I should do. Please help.
Porter
Edit: I've solved my problem. See this thread for my fix.

Thanks
Actually what it sounds like is the phone is only connecting to the headset for that time under the premise of a voice dial with the headset profile. I think you're lucky enough that you can get it to play for those 3 seconds. I have a Sony Ericcson w810i and I can't even get any audio from it to the headset at all without using the w810i's 3.5mm adapter to the patch cable on the headphones which just looks weird. But you might want to do a search for your model phone like this, "Cingular 8125 Motorola HT820" and see what kinda results you get.
I have been searching for a headset with the following specifications, so far to no avail:
Must Have: Bluetooth 2.0, Multipoint (has to support at least two devices with Bluetooth Headset profile unlike the SonyEricsson HBH-DS970 -- see note below) so that I can pair the headset simultaneously with my Hermes and my laptop and switch back and forth between mobile telephony on the Hermes and Skype or another VoIP app on my PC without having to disconnect the headset and pair it again each time.
Nice to have: Stereo with A2DP, Desktop charging cradle, built-in (digital?) FM radio
I tried the SonyEricsson HBH-DS970 which is billed as a multipoint Bluetooth 2.0 stereo headset, but while it is advertised as supporting pairing with up to 10 devices it will only allow pairing with one device in the Bluetooth Headset profile that supports phone functions with the microphone enabled. All of the other pairings can only be Audio Sink profiles for listening to music. I love the design of the headset with the neckstrap and the earbuds, but since for me listening to music comes second to being able to switch between the Hermes and the PC, I have returned the SE HBH-DS970 in the hope that something else will appear on the market soon. In any case the Hermes stereo Bluetooth still has some kinks in it (eg skips every 40-50 seconds), so I decided that it would not be worth getting a Bluetooth stereo headset until the next maintenance ROM for the Hermes fixed them.
Does anyone think that something like this will become available anytime soon or is there unlikely to be enough demand?
Is anyone using either Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 or Nokia Wireless Stereo Headset HS-12W with Artemis? If so, how's the audio quality? Do you need to install extra software? Do all the buttons work? And do track titles show on the display?
Thanks!

Problems Solved
I just recently got my P3300 and a nice Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970. I had a lot of problems with the original Windows Mobile 5 at first. It recognized the unit as a2dp and I set the P3300 tu use a2dp functionality of the sony headphones. NADA! Nothing happened. I could just use it as regular hands-free. Then I found this site and first upgraded mu ROM to
PDAMobiz_Dopod_P800W_AKU301_v1.1.2_PowerMap.rar
I didn't like it because it was for Asian market, no localization etc. and some problems...
Then upgraded to
Tom_ART_v2.00.02_CB.rar
Brilliant!!!! Looks like WM6 and has a lot of new functionality +
working A2DP profile. Now the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 is working 100%. No bugs, no music while ringing or other problems. Just perfect!
The only disapointment - There is no Radio! In order to run the radio you must use the original hands-free. they say it is because it uses the wire as antena. I tried to hook both the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 and the original hands-free -> the sound coming only from the original. SORRY.
I read somewhere that the Nokia model has a built in Radio. So if you need the Radio go for the Nokia one. Though they say the sound from the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 is way better! If you prefer MP3's with better sound go for the Sony.
Hope this helps.
i use the nokia hs 12w and the sound quality is excellent.
Do you guys have enabled or disabled the registrykey "UseJointStereo"?
I'm using the HTC BHS100 Bluetooth together with a V-Moda Vibe. When I enable this key (value set to 1) I have superior sound quality but in jointstereo. When I disable this key (value set to 0) to achieve real stereo sound I hear a high pitch noise and the sound is far from superior but in real stereo. This really anoise (typo?) me alot and it doesn't matter whether I'm using the original earphones that comes with the bluetooth or the v-moda earphones or even my full sized dj headphones.
All in all i'm just looking for a wired solution to get the superior stereo sound but that is a problem too. Because a mini-usb to 3.5mm adapter doesn't disable the built-in speaker when listening to music (using an HTC Y cable)

Have you tried this update: http://www.europe.htc.com/support/software/htcp3300.html
HTC:
"HTC audio Drivers
Downloading and installing this driver update will provide your HTC mobile device with the latest available optimised software for use with the following accessories:
YC A120 Y-Cable adaptor
RC W100 Remote Controller
RC E100 Remote Controller"
Tried it just now but I get the message that I already have the latest drivers installed and then it ends the installation.
I'll try to put back the original rom and then install the driver to see if it makes any difference. That is if I'm able to put it back somehow (extended rom has original rom but hardreset still installs the modified rom).
Finally...after installing WM6, the device recognise the Y cable as a headset (registry automatically change value into 1) and now I can enjoy music in full stereo quality. WHOOHOO
Hi,
Is there any way to set the bluetooth stereo headset connection to default stereo? sorry about my english.
so If i connect may stereo headset to the phone the defaul is mono headset i have to go to bt settings and change the profile to stereo after that working fine, I can handle incoming calls etc. but I have to change the profile after reconection again. If I uncheck the headset and handsfree profiles then the stereo working fine but i cant handle the incoming calls from the haedset only with the phone.
so is there a solution to keep the default profile stereo and keep the other two profil in live?
it tries to you works in stereo
Quick question for anyone with a BT stereo headset - if i get a BT dongle, could i connect the headset to a PC and get voice comms via teamspeak to work? Assuming that the dongle and headset does all the A2DP and other profiles?
Basically I'm just trying to see if its feasible - It'd be nice to use the headset for music with the phone, then use it as a wireless headset for games and voice comms when at home.

Yes, and with VOIP & MSN etc. too. The headset appears in the audio properties box on windows or the app you are running.
Thanks -
Before i go and splash out on one - can you confirm a headset that will deliver quality stereo while using the mic
Virtually everywhere i've been, they say that as soon as you use the mic, it will drop down to 8khz mono for sound as it switches from A2DP to the headset one.
If you or anyone have a BT stereo headset, is there any chance you can play a normal 3D game and see if you can talk over teamspeak without it dropping to mono?

I think u need to get headset with multipoint headset if u want keep in live the phone and the PC connection same time. like jabra BT8010 or BT320s.
I use Jabra 5020 (mono) and working fine for Voip and Phone same time.
I have a Jabra BT620s bluetooth wireless stereo headset which I use as an headset and my music headset on the touch hd. I paired them succesfully and playing music with mediaplayer works perfectly.
The problem is when I turn on my Jabra headset. It pairs with my phone fine, but it isnt set as wireless stereo on start. So I have to set it in the bluetooth configuration screen everytime I turn the headset on, cause else the music plays over the speaker of the phone.
Is there anyway to let windows mobile always be forced to set the headset as wireless stereo?
Same problem with Funkwerk EGO Talk
I've have got the same problem with Funkwerk EGO Talk Bluetooth carkit with A2DP. Pairs at the start with Headset Profile, so calling works(except the hangup button btw, ?which redails?? most of the time). But it doesn't start the wireless stereo profile.
I have to "Set as wireless Stereo" everytime i reconnect with the carkit
Anyone has a solution or workaround to start "Set as Wireless Stereo" automaticly or at least in 1 button?
Guys, using the search function would have turned up the following solutions found previously on these forums:
a) use Mortscript to macro the key presses
b) firmware update the headset (i.e. Jabra)
c) try turning on music and bluetooth before the headset - worked for some people
I have the same problem as you, any other suggestions?
I've the same problem with Moto music/blutooth headset
Hmmm
I don't have this problem with my Sony-E HBH BT set. Each time I turn it on the pairing is automatic and get stereo immediately.
I also can have the pocket player or TF3D media player running or not and it will change "on the fly" to BT when I turn on the headset.
No problem here with Motorola S805's.
I turn the phone BT on, turn the headphones on, press play on the headphones and get music.
I have the same problem with my motorola S705
Auto pairing with calls is ok but not with stereo A2DP. I must turn headset on manually in the bluetooth otpions which is quite long and annoying.
Pairing was working good with my TyTN. So there might be a problem somewhere
I've had some problems with my Samsung SBH170 not connecting at all.
I removed them from the BT settings and repaired, now they are found with out problems, allthough not very quickly.
In 'Advanced Configuration Tool 3.3' I came across 'Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service' which was disabeled, I enabled it and rebooted, but it doesn't seem to make any difference on my machine. According to this thread it may be required to enable audio over bluetooth: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424424

Has anyone else paired a headset to their slide and had media audio come through it?
I paired my old jawbone2 to my slide and when I was playing a game, game audio came through the ear piece. It only happened ONCE and now everything (except calls and the genius button) is back to the phone speaker.
Is that normal? Should audio be routed through my BT Headset like that? I was pretty certain only calls should go through to a non a2dp device.
I don't know anything about the jawbone2, but I have no problems. For regular phone use, I have a Motorola H500 and I always play Pandora in the car, and have never had music come through the H500, just voice like it should be. (I've used the H500 on the G1 I ordered on launch day, on a Motorola Droid, a Sprint EVO 4G, and the 3G Slide on a variety of stock and non-stock ROMs.) I also have a Motorola S9 A2DP headset, and the audio works as you would expect on it also on all of those devices. Maybe the Slide detects the Jawbone2 in a funky way somehow. What does it say when you go to Settings->Wireless & Networks->Bluetooth Settings->Jawbone2 (press & hold then select options.) If it's not a A2DP headset, it should just say "Phone, Use for phone audio." An A2DP headset will also say "Media, use for media audio." If you are lucky, the phone is just detecting it wrong and you can uncheck the Media option.
It only did it once and then went back to acting like a normal BT headset.
I am going to chalk it up as a fluke from initial pairing.
And under options it says phone audio only which is ok.
I'm replacing it with a Jawbone Icon tomorrow which supports a2dp and a whole slew of other nifty features for a single ear headset.
Don't deal with much bluetooth headsets but i do hook it up to my car stereo and i know there are settings in the bluetooth of that specific device. have you had a chance to look in there?
Bluetooth Pairing problems
I have similar problems when pairing to my truck stereo. It auto pairs when I get into the truck and works perfectly well the first time I make a call. But after that it doesnt disconnect properly AND it will disconnect but will stay paired.
I am able to go into BT setting and have it reconnect.
Works once then bam not connected again.
I have Android version 2.3.3
Baseband 47.3201.35.06U_7.07.35.025
Kernel 2.6.32.17 -Cyanogenmod-g501281a
Mem Info

Build GRI40
Connecting to a Kenwood Receiver

It worked fine for my Nexus Not sure why this is happening.
Thanks
