Possible to update the GSM Provider in Hong Kong - About xda-developers.com

It is interesting that if I choose Hong Kong GSM Provider and I got the icon of fido.ca (Canada?)
I think I am able to draw up a list of the provider and the logo of them?
Are the Moderator happy to update them?

D855TR in Hong Kong

Hey all,
I have a D855TR model (Turkey) G3 and I want to use my Turkish sim card just to get some SMS messages. When I'm in Hong Kong, it says "Sim is not inserted". Does that mean I can't use a European variant model G3 with a European Sim Card in it in Asia?
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks
Could be because in Asia they're using different frequencies for mobiles... But i think you can ask in phone store or at the reception if you're in a hotel.

[Q] Does the HTC One M9+ support TD-SCDMA network?

HTC Hong Kong's website has the network listed, but if I search the device specs on google, few websites do not have the TD SCDMA network in the spec list.
Can anyone clarify that, please? Plan to buy one from Hong Kong.

Region and bands on box

I'm interested in getting a new OnePlus 3 from Hong Kong but I really want to get the Asian set instead of the China set.
Is it possible to identify the region of the set from the box without opening the packaging say from region or bands printed?

Buying OP3 from USA and bringing it to Asia?

Just as the title says.. is it possible? Will it work with the network carriers over here?
IDC about taxes and stuff I just want to know about compatibility with the network carriers.
Sorry for my English
where in Asia?
each carrier usually uses different frequencies as allowed by local laws.
in the spec page of the OnePlus3 you can see the frequencies supported by the US version.
if you specify where you are from we can help localize the carrier support for your region.
Helpful service
Google search willmyphonework
Edit: Since Im a new member I cannot post the direct link
I used this site to make sure my op3 was compatible with the carriers in my country. Just select your phone and model (I believe A3000 is the american model) and the country and it will give you a list of compatible carriers and the bands each carrier uses.
Mostly 4G won't work. Band 3 (1800MHz) is common in Asia. Try Aliexpress. They have A3000 model for the same price (Free shipping), which has Band 3 network. I'm in Sri Lanka. I was about to buy OP3 phone from USA but skipped it because I found out the network incompatibility.

I'm from Israel.
I just checked on willmyphonework and you guys were right, it's compatible only with 2G and 3G bands, and about 0% compatibility with 4G bands.
Ofc it's a deal breaker for me so I won't buy it in my trip to the US soon.
Do you know if maybe I can find the EU model for sale in the US?
If not, do you have any recommendations on where to buy it? Here in Israel it's about 1000 INS (about 250$) MORE than the US price...

I bought mine directly from the manufacturer. There was no option at the time to select the model but they seemed to select the model for me anyway based on the ship to address, so I got the European model. I would check the different models available on that site and find the one that works in Israel
Aliexpress is a good site. Just check seller's and shop's rating. There are plenty of OP3 for sale in Aliexpress for the original price. A3000 model would support your 4G connection. (Better check yourself )
