Default Area Code? - P3300, MDA Compact III General

Hi All,
Somehow my area code default is set to 425 - an area code I'm not familiar with and never use. I tried to fix it by doing a registry search, and I thought I had found the problem by replacing the data of 425 inHKCU\\ControlPanel\Dial\Locations\1 (there were also locations 2 and 3)
with my own area code, but even after a reboot that did not solve the problem. How can I change the default area code?
Thanks!

[Q] Network settings

Hi all developers! I have one question - have anyone information about where home network information placed? As I see radio settings is independent from ROM settings. Also I see that some settings placed in ROM, for example Call section's NBPCD and Assisted Dialing settings. Problem is that I use Incredible outside from U.S. and some programs wouldn't work fine because it have some limitations in US - for example new Skype work only in WiFi mode. Then I try to run it in 3G network it's write attention like "In the United States you can only make Skype calls over WiFi". Can we fix it?
P.S. changing NBPCD and Assisted Dialing settings give result only for call making process, not for global network settings.
P.P.S. I found one way - we can change file build.prop in ROM image (system/build.prop). There is two sections - ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric and ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha. I change it to my operator's default settings and bingo, I have stock Skype.apk, that work in 3G network. Next step is change stock's backup image. So, have anybody information about OS files, where this information placed?
Last update - simplest way for change build.prop at installed image is SDK's adb pull and adb push commands use. It's checked and really worked.

I thought I had read somewhere that verizon is letting Skype work over 3G. If I can find it again, I'll post it here.
Found a hacked APK over at DroidForums. I'll try to post the link.

Field Test / Debug Code Working, looking for RSSI, EcIo, PN, Neighbor List, etc...

I was wondering if anyone else out there with their MSL code is able to successfully access their Debug screen by using *#*#33284#*#*
I have my MSL code and have checked it by accessing other screens that require the MSL, but this one screen does not work for me, only giving "invalid lock code"
I am trying to access a screen to show both RSSI, Ec/Io, Active PN and Neighbor PN / Neighbor List.

[Q] Service/debug screen for signal readings?

I work as an RF Technician and I occasionally install in-building amplifiers for Sprint. My company just recently bought me a Samsung Galaxy Nexus to do my testing on. They went with this phone for the tethering option which allows me to do EVDO speed tests. What I need is the code, if there is one, to view the screen that shows RSSI, Ec/Io, PN, etc. Anyone have that? I searched the forums and have only been able to find *#*#786#*#* and *#*#4636#*#* which do not show the information I need.
I am assuming it is *#*#33284#*#* which takes me to another screen that needs a passcode. The code to my old phone does not work on this one. Anyone have a guess as to what that might be?
Well just trying out any dumb word that popped into my head i tried "sprint" (777468) as the password which worked. So just in case anyone else is looking for it
*#*#33284#*#*
Code = 777468
Shows signal levels for CDMA and EVDO as well as tower information.

Getting the PhoneUtil without network?

Hello,
My friend was messing around with different ROMs and got himself into a very bad situation,
His Galaxy Nexus has a Generic IMEI and unfortunately backup nv_data.bin files are deleted too.. I've read many manuals regarding this and all of them require you to enter some service code, mostly PhoneUtil (*#7284#) in order to change the usb settings. But as the phone cannot register in any network it just keeps giving Mobile network not found.
Is there another way of getting to the phoneutil? or maybe getting the service codes to work without network?
thanks
