Hello Everybody,
HTC HOME + DIAMOND CLOCK FONTS

As you all know, we can use HTC Home as our theme. I know everyone is using sliding panels but once upon a time, when you do feel like a change is necessary then you can use this to make that change. It allows you direct access to the clock, alarms, weather and your favorite contacts. I know this has been posted somewhere but I thought I post it again including some backgrounds and Diamond Clock Fonts.
For HTC Home + Diamond Clock Font, please do the following:
Install HTC Home,
Extract Contents from either Black or White Diamond Clock Fonts
Copy - Paste into \Windows (i.e. Overwrite previous fonts)
If you do want to use your old HTC home fronts, either re-install the .cab or backup your old clock fonts.

HTC Touch Album
I am also providing you with the HTC Touch Album for everyone to use. It is amazing as it allows you to run slide shows with fade option etc. Please try it and let me know how it works for you.
Joggr Controls:
In Slideshow mode, you can use your joggr to flip through pictures quickly - that is slide through your pictures
In Regular mode, you can use ur joggr to double click a picture and sliding up and down will let you zoom in & out of pictures.

HTC Diamond Album
This is another version except it's extracted from HTC Diamond. I ran into some issues with this because it does not allow you to select your directory but I will try and post a fix if i come across one. This only accesses your Camera folder for now.

This includes weather icons, clock icons and some other icons. OrganicM, please feel free to include these in your app and anyone else, you could use these icons for your sliding panels etc. They look pretty good. I haven't gotten to this yet. When I do, I'll post some screen shots.

I tell ya there is nothing rapid about the rapidshare site. It is so difficult to get past there stupid cat thing. Mediafire is so much better at hosting downloads. I am now on my 5th try. IF I do get them I'll upload them to mediafire and post the links.

Please post results as I didn't get time to check all applications. Most of them should work flawlessly.
On the other hand, I just noticed the Diamond Ringtones folder has it's own rar files for each ringtone. I extracted them all so their all in one folder without having to extract each individual ring tone. Please let me know if you would like me to upload that so it's lesser hassle for you guys.

I noticed that the Touch Album changed the language on some screens in Resco Explorer to Chinese. When I was copying files it showd the writing on the progress page in Chinese and some menu items were unable to display so it just showed boxes. I am using Rick v.5 as my ROM.

Yeah, only when you choose the folder, it shows boxes. I'll post a fix if i find it. Otherwise, it's fine

Oh That sucks. I haven't tried Opera 9.5 yet but I tried everything else and so far, everything works perfectly.

HTC Touch Album...looks great...doesnt work as default (imma try again though...I'd love for this viewer to come up instead of the default windows pictures/videos one)
and...anyone figure a fix for some of the text showing up as boxes?
ummm...HTC Diamond Album looks good as well, I personally don't like the font size (too big) but all in all its nice, though not as smooth as the touch one IMO...plus the purpleish loading icons (missing icon or lack of transparency or something) is just unappeasing.
everything else seems to work fine...trying out the MP3 mixer now. I'll let u know.

I personally like the Touch Album myself. I don't like the Diamond Album because the Touch album looks and performs really smooth and is appealing to the eyes.
Mp3 Trimmer works flawlessly so ringtones is not a hassle anymore if you want to make your own ring tones.
Finally, I don't know of any fix as of yet for the text showing up as boxes. As soon as I do, I will post it here.

EDIT: I just tried the default hack, it didn't work for me either but I just rebooted, lets see if it works. I really would love for it to work.

app wise the only thing i cant get to work is the mp3 trimmer.. which isnt bad i already have a app installed on my pc for that..

Few unfixed problems in the kitchen

Ok, I decided to write new thread because most of the rom makers I pm to didn't answer me at all. Some kind of secrets or whatever. I think we should help each other to improve our ROM's but maybe I'm wrong.
I have some issues in my owe ROM which I can't really fix. Maybe someone will know the solution
1. Some ROM makers wrote in their changelogs that now CommMgr is really closing without being on the process list all the time? How?
2. I'm using EZinput keyboard 2.0.33633 full qwerty and two keyboards should be available: full qwerty and phone keyboard. Only the first one is present in the system (the second one now is standard MS keyboard instead of phone keyboard 2.0 EZinput). Why? I changed the EXT package many times to make sure it's ok and all the time the same issue...
3. Is there a working method to change system rings to wav? Every time I do it then they doesn't work. Do I have to change also some registry value?
4. Windows Media Player dosen't play any videos. I changed mHub and mHubVO into some other versions but still no efect. What else could be the reason?
That's all what I'd love to know to make my ROM better

I know how to manually switch between those keyboards using registry entries [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ezsip]
CurrentSIP set to a00 is Phone Keypad and d00 for fullQWERTY. But still it's impossible to change it in menu (WM6.5 21725)
That's all I want to share with, maybe it will help someone. Should I expect some respond? I don't think so :]

Dude, about the comm manager, I don't know which version of comm manager are u using. But I got my comm manager working good n closing when clicked on x button. All I can say is don't use any new version like 2.8 or topaz comm manager. Use the 2.7.1.4 version. It's OG diamond comm manager n works nice. I'm using the same version.

The keyboard is still my biggest problem. I wonder what's wrong that I cannot switch between Full qwerty and phone keypad in the sip menu bar.

Did u try the GEN Y sip menu..??
I heard someone there saying that if we have the touchflo installed, then only we can change between the phone pad n qwerty board. But touchflo brings some more diff probs elsewhere.
Surprising issue this.. Coz it works perfectly fine with ezinput 1.

do u have a package of touchflo..?? If not, I'll mail it to you. Try to import it n see if it works. I had in the previous build of this kitchen.

i dont know..check gen y thread..u will definitely get moe help there. its surely been talked about in that thread.

I think I know the answer. Ability to change between keyboards wouldn't work on wm6.5 without HTC menuenhancement.

nope its not only that, u definitly need the touchflo package, but that package conlicts with wm 6.5
the only thing we can do is wait for HTC to bring out its first WM 6.5 rom for diamond2, then we can take the new touchflo or ezinput package from that rom
about the windows media player issue, make sure u have the DShow OEM in your rom

there a slight newer one in my kitchen, here are the oems i use for multimedia:
- DShow_2_00_19143426_0
- mHub_6_57_080529_E0
- mHubVO_1_75_090515_X0
u should also check the following drivers in OEMDrivers:
- qtv.dll
- qtv_mp4_decoder.dll
try replacing those drivers

And again some damn issues in my kitchen
For last two days I was looking for the source of why my Face down mute ring stopped working. In registry everything is fine. Exept of registry, is there any dll library or something responsible for that? Also when I'm in windows file explorere and want to copy the file from IS to main memory (I do tap on "Copy")and then tap on the menu to choose the location then it crashed.
Any ideas for soulution those two problems?
PS. One more thing I forgot... I used to have my clock and calendar to set up automaticly the date and time after HR but now it seems to be gone... Is it up to network type currently using? GPRS/3G? Or maybe some registry value?

Thanks dude but it doesn't work. I was trying with both, 0 and 1 to make sure but still no effect. Friend of mine checked some others 6.5 ROM's and it seems that it doesn't work in any of them.

I found out that automatic time and date set works only if 3G/SHDPA network is available. So this question is out of date.
If anyone find the solution with face down mute ring then please let me know.
Another issue that I was hoping to solve is contact list popping up every time after SR. So in titanium softkeys registry I changed SK1URL into HTCActionScreen. And now... HTCActionScreen popping up every time after SR. Any solution for that?

Looks like PointUI background. May be able to find via search, good luck
OP: It's S2U2 NRG made a conversion for Excalibur "use search" if not download latest version and change settings via MyMobiler as it's PPC software.

I tested PointUI Plugin Home2 on the dash before and it sucks, 'cause its meant for touchscreen phones , really slowed down the phone and just the feel of it. I don't know why kirta89 would call it iphone lock, is not from iphone, but if you want to give it a try, here's the .cab.

Would be worth looking in .cab for wallpaper not sure it uses image files though as used on PPC "for very short time" and think the themes where in another format?
I'm a user of A_C's S2U2 but not sure how it is on SP tryed the NRG version ages ago but didn't last long on phone....

Yeah maybe he can install the plugin, search the home2 folder on the my device/program files/home2 , and there might find the wallpaper used on it, then just copy it to the sd card, and uninstall if he/she doesn't like the pointui.

Replace touchflo calendar

Hey guys, anyway to replace the calander that touchflo redirects you to? So for example when you click on the home screen appointment, it takes you to WM calander, I want to to go to thumbcal.

Man - I ALMOST like the Tf3d2 calendar. I still use MTP to run PocketBreeze in a tab, but if the calendar had
1) More info per item without opening it - maybe even a click once to expand to show all info and description, twice to open in MS Calendar...
2) Week view
3) Color Categories, or another way of visualising
4) Include tasks on the day page
...I'd be using it exclusively

Bump.. I too use Thumcal.... I like tf3d calendar for viewing info... but want to open thumbcal to make new appointments etc..
I checked in the hkeylm-software-htc-manilla-item 5 is the calendar
but no clear way to change where it directs you....

The most I can do is when you click the no appointment thing on homescreen it will take you to thumbcal, BUT if you have an appointment it will open it in Windows Mobil calendar!!

Yes I know what to do.
Start complaining at HTC about this. TouchFlo doesn't use the registry to ask for the default (calendar) application. TouchFlo is hard programmed to use the Windows software, in this case the calendar.
To get this changed in the way it should work..... HTC has to do the work!

maybe we can use vjbrisk I'll have a look at it later!

like you,i hate this calendar as well,it's very rustic design,i want to remove it from the Today desktop,replace it with other better-looking calendar,but holy ****,after lots of research,the conclusion is that this calendar is built within Touchflo3d scripts (called inbedded),even tweaking registry cannot remove it!
So forget this tempt. give up. i am trying to see other better Today program to replace this goddamned touchflo3d.

Its gotten to the point where i feel that i should completely rewrite this app if any progress is going to be made .
So Im going to try to find some time to do just that.

ive attached the (very) alpha version... It looks in your storage card only for your music. and is for wvga devices only.
click on the songs to add them to your now playing playlist, click on the + to add without playing the song.
the player saves the playlist when you click on the clock and minimize the form.

The dlls load in the windows folder. When open the player i have a error.
The specified module could not be found. I am press the details and have this error. myTunes.exe filenotfoundexception The specified module could not be found.

Interesting... I havent seen this error before. Im not sure how to go about troubleshooting that. Hopefully i can work on the player this weekend and see if i cant get a little more stable build up...

Works great for me on my personal 6.5.3 (28008) Fuze build. In fact i love it and so far no bugs. Works fine over bluetooth. The only thing I would love to see added is AVRCP bluetooth remote support.

Thats definately on the "todo" list, but i havent had time to look into implementation yet... I'm glad to hear it works for someone though

First congrats for your work and your sharing. It's revolutionary in it's design!
After playing a bit I can see room for improvement:
1 enlarge the fonts
2 pressing play 2nd time pauses but the icon doesn't change
3 add volume control
4 add exit button
5 add stop button
6 add a screen off option to save power
In the minimised view:
7 the sliding effect seems reversed because the slider is not moving, consider a wheel effect (with or without slider)
8 shuffling through directories is not very responsive, I found the best response when swiping my fingernail on the top or the bottom of the central slider.
9 the directories names are hidden by the finger, maybe move them above the slider
10 enhance Dpad functionality : right/left are ok, up/down should switch dirs (now they behave like right/left) and action button should play/pause (now it's not responsive)
This is it for now
I wouldn't have bothered writing so much if I didn't think it has the potential to become a leading app, so keep up (I also think you are going to get more involved than you thought )

It seems to work OK, but on my VGA Loox N560 running Newplow's ROM for WM6.1 I cannot find out how to exit the program. Am I missing something obvious? There seems to be no menu or exit icon? It does look good though. Thank you.

When you pull down the top drawer i had it set the windows state to normal so the x button should pop up in the normal windows taskbar... At least thats how i planned it .

for 1. i Like the idea of seeing as much of the text as i can on the page which is why they are soo small but i have been thinking about increasing the size, especially for lower resolution devices.
2. I do need to implement this,
3. I intially liked the idea of just using the system volume but i might add to see if i like it
4. for my 6.5.1 rom when i minimize it brings up the x button, i didnt think about how 6.5.3 looks
6. again for my rom i just hit the power button and it turns that backlight off, but i will try to add this.
7. Im still trying to figure out exactly how i want this view to work... I really just wanted a Quick way to go through all the album art. Hopefully i can pull something off here
8. The sliding art just works by grabbing the center albumart and then moving it in the direction you want it to go. and if you slide it all the way over and keep your finger on the screen it will keep going until you lift up...

Im about 400 miles away from my main desktop so i havent done any more work on it... but i have been setting up my 6 year old laptop with all the mobile sdk's to hopefully keep the project running the next couple weeks till i can get back home

Installed the player in my device with WM 6.5.3 and it works very well.
Besides the points mentioned by Tito i would suggest an exit button as i have to slide down to reveal the taskbar and then close the player from there. On this bulid no exit button comes up.
Also ...is there an option to save playlists?

Yup, feel a fool.... I found it after posting, but I notice that Claus1953 did not like it either. Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I like your approach to the GUI design though. Up until now I have been using S2P from this site, by A_C. Because of GUI usability problems with later releases, I have stuck with his older 0.58 release. Your player is similar. I am sure you are familiar with S2P? I will consider using your program as it has some advantages already. Keep it up.

i found the problem. My operating system WM6.5.3 have not a windows mobile player, separate one mobile corelplayer.
Your more player from there mobile functions more player and not with others playern only with windows mobile.
This is a good player and function perfectly.

there is no way to save playlists yet... hopefully i can get it working soon though ... and also a close/minimise button will probably be in the works also.

just one question, sry for bothering you..
what about formats like:
mod, xm, sap, sid,
etc, etc?
any plans for plugins?
just mp3 player with(let's say).. nice look?
