I am really new with in this topic and think i would need some advice / maybe help to try an wm6 upgrade of my O2 XDA Mini S (Qtek 9100).
I currently have the following plan:
Recently O2 released an WM6 Upgrade for the (much newer) XDA Orbit Model. So far I was able to extract the ROM-Update contents (got some nb-files including one 06_OS.nb).
I also have done a backup of my current ROM using aWizard. The tool created a backup that consists of some nba-files (there's also an os-rom-file). Is it possible to convert the Orbit WM6 OS-ROM to nba-format and exchanging the original OS-File of the aWizards-Backup to flash it back to my XDA with WM6?
Some might say I could use an WWE WM6 (f.e. Crossbow), but I would like to have WM6 in German and don't know where else I could find one matching in German for my phone.
Could anyone help me or give me some advise?

Hello, thanks for your reply. I recently had a look at some posts about upgrading. But so far I didn't find a post to cook a ROM basing on my own (original O2) OS-ROM. The procedures I figured out in the forum seem to be very complicated. Isn't there a less complicated way to do it?

What do you need an XDA Flame ROM for so badly for anyway? It's only WM5
What phone do you have? There may already be upgrades available for it. I suggest looking in the Wiki.

I have a P3600 with WM5. Iwas thinking of upgrading to WM6. So I started google-ing and looked here ... now I am really confused. I know that HTC does not provide an update to WM6 in Europe. And I see that some people have made it somehow.
I am looking for an update to WM6 in German or English. I would like to know:
1) How is it possible
2) Is it stable?`and how dangerous is it?
3) And is it worth to do so?

There is a lot of information out there, but no one has gone through the effort to distill it into one place, and I think to expect that someone else will do your research for you and present you with a nice distilled How-to guide is unrealistic.
Have you spent any time searching through this board? The answers to your questions are all in there, you need to spend the time to find them. I don't think anyone is going to volunteer to do it for you.

I've tried several "cooked ROMs" but I've found that the most bug free is the official D810 ROM released by HTC. The following link has detailed instructions (and links to downloads) to accomplish the upgrade to WM6:

I have just spent an age reading through some very resourcfull threads here.
I apologise if i post this in the wrong section, but i am a little confused.
I own an O2 xda ignito. I am am looking to get it back to the HTC black theme.
Can anyone pls advise me as which HardSPL etc i need to flash too. As said I have searched and read alot. But I am also new to this and looking for a little advise.
My phone has SPL version 1.93 installed. and 1.93 ROM also.
I am just looking to get rid of this ugly o2 theme from it.
Any help would be great

I am very confused about if flashing my XDA is possible or not. Using the Board-Search for some hours now did not give me the right threads. Pershaps I am using the false keywords.

For about one year I have a O2 XDA Diamon. Systeminformation is as shown below:
ROM-Version 1.37.207.3 GER
ROM-Date 06/23/08
Radio 1.00.25.03
Prtocoll-Ver 52.26a.25.09H
I never updated the ROM. As I saw, there is a new O2-Firmware-Update. But I do not like the branded style. So, I want to flash it with an actual non-branded ROM in German.
As I read in other topics, that upgrading only works with special revisions.
For example here, written by rorydaredkign
yep you have to install a hardspl, either olipro's [which i think is unreleased] or the one made by the diamond project team.
then you can flash a new rom.
however, check your rom version in settings->system->device information
if it reads 1.34.831.1
it means you have a new spl that prevents you from flashing hardspl until the experts here create a work-around.

Is there a way to upgrade my XDA? The WM-Version I am running is very instable and crashes very often.
