WM6Voip.cab - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

Hi everyone!
I've installed WM6 official o2, happy with it so far.
I've installed WM6Voip.cab and have set up sipgate.co.uk with it and it does seem to be working, even though it always says "Sipgate: searching".
My only problem is that the German lady on 10000 is waaaay to quiet even though the volume is up full I can't hear her any louder than a whisper...
Any thoughts?
I've tried with the speaker and the headset, same result....

Sorry I'm not able to help but where can I find the VOIP cab please?
Thanks
N

I haven't been able to overcome the volume issue myself! What I have done though is to use SJPhone (voip softphone) which runs nicely on Windows mobile. This in fact does not require the voip package to be installed even.
Link to site is: http://www.sjlabs.com/sjp.html
I hope it goes well if you try it out.
Cheers.

Here it is.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a try
Edit>
Installed WM6VoIP.cab and SetupVoIP_v0.3.cab and entered the details of my Asterisk Server but I can't see any evidence of my phone doing anything. - O2 XDA Orbit with official O2 WM6 - No O2 stuff.
WiFi is working fine and I can surf but the phone doesn't attempt to register.
Any ideas please?
Edit 2>
Soft reset, switch on WiFi and I can see the phone registering and call extensions and the phone can be called. I can also make outgoing calls. However, I cant do *56* which should tell my asterisk box to read back my extension.
I also have almost inaudible sound.
Getting there though. Great work folks!
Thanks
N

about 'searching'
that might be a bug. Nevertheless it works.
I've installed the VM VI Black voip & config file and afterwards the original WM6Voip rtcdll. Now my display says 'activated'

Reviewing the audioRoute 1.2.010
It's really hard to believe that any VoIP client who play the sound just only on the loud speakerphone will become a real cellular telephony alternative. Everyone who got to be a VoIP nerd know the importance of routing the voice on the earpiece, and know this is the Microsoft Windows Mobile fatal weakness comparing with NOKIA and iPhone platform capabilities.

Configured and connected to my voip carrier but whan i call....the other telephone rings, but i can't hear nothing on my p3600.The other phone can hear me! Why?
Same here, I suggest you post it in the other thread.
You shouldn'T have opened this one in the first place.
Which thread to use VoIP problem with Trinity
It seems that this problem (Cannot hear anything but can be heard) is specific to the Trinity. The other forum is about how to configure a SIP account for use with inbuilt VoIP in WM6. On that forum - there are Trinity users talking about their specific VoIP problem as cited above.
As this issue is not one concerning the SIP account configuration, I feel that it deserves it's own thread. How about renaming this thread to VoIP problems with Trinity WM6 delivery 1979 - then we can all get together to share problems about VoIP with the Trinity WM6 ROMS. Perhaps mUn and Lvsw can enlighten us and eventually include fixes in their upcoming ROMS.
I have yet to have a definitive answer from anyone about successfully setting up VoIP and getting it working consistently on the Trinity. If most users can indeed do this - the problem is isolated to a few dunces like me. however - as nobody has confirmed a working VoIP in WM6 for Trinity - I think a Trinity specific problem that merits a thread.

There's one-way audio on the Trinity with WM6 internet calling (SIP).
Third-party SIP phones have 2-way audio, but it's always on the speakerphone.

hi, i have configured image lvsw 2.0.0.7 with sip provider lowratevoip. My problem is no voice from the speaker. Thank best regard Antonio
albertazzi65 - did you try the fix that lvsw suggested in his post:
VoIP FIX!!!!
Remove the values:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\RTC\AdapterTypes]
"1"=dword:00020001
"2"=dword:00020002
I would be curious to see if after flashing the 2.0.0.7 version of the ROM and applying this fix it works?
My next tests to get VoIP working were going to be : 1. Flash 2.0.0.7 2. Apply the above fix 3. Replace rtcdll.dll with this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=39424&d=1179658323 at each step I would check the functionality of VoIP to see if at any stage it works! If you could try (as you've already flashed to 2.0.0.7) - that would help a lot.

The problem is that DLL's used in Trinity roms are from different devices, and as I was explained, drivers for Trinity's audio are different. Haven't tried to replace dll, but no luck with registry settings...
OK. Flashed 2.0.0.7 ROM. Replaced DLL. Configured SIP. Tried a call. I could hear the person I was calling. the sound was very faint and coming from the main speaker. There was also a half second delay.
(I could be heard clearly).
I then tried the registry fix. Now there is just a slight interference noise coming from the main speaker - like a bad phone line - but no voice from the other end. Put the registry keys back - still the same.
Conslusion - I once made a successful two way call through my trinity's phone earpiece. Only once though. This time I got one successful 2 way call - with crappy sound through the main speaker.
This is not progress, but it's clear that the Trinity is capable of it.

hi, pass1 ok, pass 2 ok, pass3 ok..... call voip no voice to the speaker.
It should work on the trinity because if you use a software like I have done with SJPhone, it works. You can hear your correspondant and he can hear you. The only thing is taht it works on the speaker, so you can use a earphone bluetooth or not and then it works fine.
I have tried and I have the same issue as everyone with WM6 IP phone and no problem on SJPHONE with WM6.
Yes - but the whole point is that it is integrated in the ROM and integrates with the phone a lot better. (As soon as I am at home on WiFi - my calls are VoIP routed). Thanks anyway!
Trinity VOIP no sound problem SOLVED
did a bit of research in the forum. Here's my solution.
Trinity with 2.0.0.7 ROM, SIP conf tool v2.0.1.
Downloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=39424&d=1179658323
Switched off VOIP and Wi-Fi, replaced the above file in \Windows folder, softreset and here we are, loud and clear sound from the external speaker using VOIP. Hope this helps anyone
But no fix for the internal speaker? Oh well can't have everything.

Someone got VOIP working on his Artemis?

I flashed my phone with the WM6 PDAMobiz rom.
I installed the apps I need, and right now I'm pretty satisfy with this rom and my Orbit.
But one of the main reasons why I flash the phone to WM6, was cause on WM6 it should be able to get VOIP working on the phone.
I tried several things, but I just can't get VOIP working on the Orbit.
Whatever I do or try it always says "VoipBuster" searching
Any ideas?
Thanks

Ok, I finally manage to get this working ;-)
Now my Orbit looks more and more the perfect device to me.
My next thing on the whishlist for the Orbit is SDHC support, so I can put a 4 gig card in my Orbit
@Gajet, euh what dataplan? I'm using VoipBusterPro for a several months now, in the beginning I was using it with my Nokia N80 and now finally with my Orbit.
The countries I need to call to is free (not really free, cause they charge you a connection fee of 3.9 eurocents for every call you make!)
Skype works just fine!

Hey guys!
Skype works just fine on my newly upgraded HTC P3300 but I must say that "Battery Status" (overclocked at 247 Mhz) does the trick!
While talking with Skype my battery reaches up to 42 Celsius... Hope I will not FRY my device... A couple of minutes after then talk it drops down to the average 34 Celsius.
On an other account I must say that on the WM6 rom I just flashed, WMP does not play MP4 (very strange!) and in the Start/Settings I am missing some items (Voice Commands for example!)... Any idea how to fix that?
Thanx,
SiperX

Hi CG,
Normally Voice Speed Dial should be in Settings and not in Programs.
I have used Voice Speed Dial quite a lot in WM5 as I controlled almost totally by voice commands (calls to contacts, applications/utilities) my device.
With this rom (not having it in Settings) you open it in Programs (so you can access its function but not the configuration/options), you save some voice tags and once you have closed it you cannot open it any more to add/remove/edit voce tags....
I hope I made myself understood... Try it on your device and you will see what I mean...
Any suggestion is welcome.
Thanks in advance,
SiperX

Well, as you may have noticed I've found those threads, but I saw that the most of the thread is regarding HERMES.
I was wondering if anyone with an Artemis has been able to turn on VOIP (native voip)
I did manage to install the package as mentioned in the threads above, as well as put in the right config files. Also, the "Internet Calling: Available" today plugin is correctly displayed. However, I cannot switch dial pads and I don't get the correct status (connected).
Same problem here
Setup was done with Sip Config Tool 2.0.1
The plugin is configured : "Always, if available"
When connected by wlan or activesync the plugin displays : "Kein Empfang"
Disconnected from network displays : "Available"
Hopefully someone can help me
Guys I've got it working just fine on an xda orbit. There does seem to be a little bug though and that is when it's says "Searching" and "Available" on the today screen. Available actually means searching and searching means available
When searching is displayed, click on it in the today screen and you might notice a slight change in the signal which means it has switched to voip rather than gsm. Go to the phone screen and you'll see that the network has changed to your voip provider and any call you make will be routed through them.
I have downloaded sjphone yesterday and configured it to use my sip voip provider and it works brilliantly. The sound quality in sjphone is absolutely brilliant compared to the native voip, you should try it.
Finally it's working...
I tried to deinstall the plugin and after prompting an error it worked
The homescreen plug signals "searching" but as you said before it means "availabe". There are still a couple of things:
1) no incomming calls... i can't find the stun settings
2) +4930xxxxxx format doesn't work, i've to type 030xxxx
3) doesn't work after standby
Which version of sjphone are you using? There seems to be nothing available for wm 6
Hi BlueD,
I'm glad it's working for you. I tested incoming calls and that worked nicely as well without configuring any stun. The voip I used were sipgate and callcentric.
There's a post somewhere on one of the big voip threads and the guys managed to customize the dialing plans so that you can dial without using the international format. Do a quick search on voip dialing plan and you should find it somewhere.
Well obviously it doesn't cause the wifi disconnects, hence making it only useful for dialing out rather than receiving calls, except ofcourse if you want to leave the device on all the time, but that's not a very feasible solution.
The sjphone I downloaded was the one for v.1.60.303c Pocket PC 2003SE, it works nicely with excellent call quality. I also think you don't really need native voip capabilities to run that, which makes me think we could have had this on WM5 hmmm...
OK.. just fyi - i got a little bit more success in using the native VOIP solution. I had to flash from the WWE 6 to the BnB 2 ROM, then install the VOIP.cab and SipConfigTool. Now i can receive calls, but cannot place any... not sure why. Also, when i receive a call the sound is CRAP.. probably some codec issue here.

Yep I did. I got this confirmed by testing it with a softphone on my PC, which works great (same voip provider etc).

WM 6.5 SIP Client w/ Dialpad and Mute Function

Hi Guys,
I currently use free SIP service and google voice together with onedialer to make phone calls through Data. I currently use FRING as the SIP client, though it works good, but it doesn't have dialpad...so i can't enter tone responses (the windows dialer's dialpad tone sounds for some reason also doesn't work during SIP call) and neither does it have mute functionality during SIP call.
Is there any SIP client with these feature...i know WM has inbuilt SIP client...does it have these 2 features...its lot of work to enable it in..so just want to make sure beforehand
Regards,
ok pardon my noobiness above...so I configured the built in sip client and found it work just like regular call...and also it sucks compared to fring...there is more lag, sound breaking compared to fring(on phone data plan and even on wi-fi) and it misses incoming SIP calls too some times...
So is there any other solution?
You can try this one ..I've had good results with it.

Well I've tried both PortSIP and Agephone....both are good clients but none of them are able are as successful on T-mobile Edge network as Fring...it somehow manages to get adequate audio quality to get talks done...maybe it uses low bandwidth or something...The others have choppy/muffled voices in between
Is there any other client as successful as this? i've tried Nimbuzz, but it has the same problem as others..

[Q] voip sip prgrm for hd mini?

hi everyone,
does anybody know a working voip sip program for htc hd mini?
i've tried without success:
adoresoftphone
SJphone
fring
and sip confg tool - which I manage to make an outgoing call of which I could hear the other side but they only heard digital noises - and the phone got frozen without the ability to make another regular call.
I also tried gizmo5 - which works great on my pc, but I cant config it to do the same on my phone.
that's it I think,
help?

as I wrote before I used the operating system option for internet calling - which was only partialy successful, since I managed to make the call, but my voice was distorted.
PORTGO (PortSIP for CE)
Try this, it work for my HD MINI
i tried wm6voip + sipconfig, managed to get it work (at least to call a mobile phone in france from a low speed wifi hotspot in china) but the sound was not very good.
i need to try in better conditions to have an opinion, but it is not very convenient (have to disable HTC Sense to enable/disable internet calls via SIP)
thanks i will try portgo and let you know
i just downloaded the soft here:
w w w .portsip.com/wm-softphone.htm
after installation, it executes, but big slow down (lag) and some parameters makes the phone freeze, i had to reboot!
i have to test it anyway, but another issue is, seems you have to build a new contact list, it does not take the ones from Windows Mobile...
let's see
no incoming audio
