No, I have instaled the HTC_TyTN_NLD_3.54.254.2_102_6275_1.47.00.10_108 version. It's the Dutch version......
Tha E-mail from HTC club letting you know that the new RM is available is by 10 hours too late. I am already running the ROM

This is the official release version of the HTC Windows Mobile 6 rom, it is the one they will offer on their website in the near future. Call it a free preview!

Important if you have not already installed Olipro v7 2.10 you must install it on your Hermes before you run this rom upgrade, it is available on the downloads page HERE be sure to follow the instructions given there, it is insurance against bricking your Hermes.
It is a pretty basic rom and not a touch on jasjammings Black series, but it works well, does its job and I have tried and tested it. The first and second splash screens on your Hermes will not be replaced.
Remember this rom does not upgrade your radio.
You can always install any extras you wish to by looking through the downloads section.
If after upgrading you wish to go back to a different WM6 rom after trying this, you need to select SPL-1.11 and is it hard SPL? during the upgrade.
Download the rom from this download page HERE then extract the rar file to a new folder on your desktop and then run RUUWrapper.exe.

When it was still called Crossbow,it wasnt confined to specific PDas. Whatever happened to those kinds of ROMS anyway? All that mattered was the hardware,of which the P3400 has. When I saw it at the expos it was running WM6 (not to mention Wi-fi,but thats another story). I figured the Chinese would have come up with it by now. They dont play around.

HTC South Africa once sent me an email saying the upgrade would be out 12th August. Now they dont know when.
As far as I understand, HTC/Dopod planned to launch the new P3400-based model, named KunLun, in August. http://it.qihoo.com/avphto/tech008.html
If nothing goes wrong, it should be available quite soon. Maybe the official WM 6.0 upgrade will be available to Gene owners when KunLun is released. I hope that it will leak before that ;-)

It runs better than the factory fitted.

I found WM6.0
I found WM6.0 but it is for DOPOD / HTC U1000 So i don't know whether it will work for P3400 or not I don't want to take risk as I don't have WM5 or any backup once i get some restoring mechanism i will try to upgrade it

Why Htc haven't provided the wm5 ROM for going back if desired ?
It's pretty the same as WM5 but then WM6. After first boot it installs the same utils as it would in WM5 like TomTom, QuickGPS etc. (Also the ugly green dailer )

Pretty much the same as the asia one but with Office 2007 and cleaner.
Its clean, stable, fast and once again CLEAN!! install what you like.
Im sticking to this, you also know its been tested better than the home cooked, hats off to the guys but I dont like junk.
i reinstall the touch 2.1 ( really i'm waiting b&b4.2 ) after ... 12 minutes.
So,its only localized ... and no extra software.

Whoa!! The time to fix for the GPS is much improved! I'll have to test it more tomorrow, but it could be as fast as the TyTN II now!! That is AWESOME!
I'm going to say I like the dopod version more. This one doesn't have Audio Manager or Voice Command installed. I don't see a "lock screen" feature on this either...
stable, memory drain 's gone: program memory still at 22mo after 12 hours. but the new rom has fewer memory for stockage: 20mo vs 51mo of Meschle's new rom.
this version has voicecommand. Lock screen is there, just goto the settings, today and enable the item
Its the same as any other base, vanilla rom.

Sign up to the club with your Serial Number and its in the updates section. Other places on this forum have posted links.
Im happy with it, I like its clean and fully tested so Im sticking to it. There may be a reason they havnt used th elatest rom like some other cooked ones. You have to remember,the people who make these roms know a hell of a lot more about them than we do.

I can't see any ROM upgrade on official HTC Europe website. I registered my device and created account in HTC Club. Now, after login I can't see ROM upgrade either in Phone software update nor in Other downloads. Could you check this out (or maybe ROM is in other section?).

Maybe there was some serious bug in ROM and they removed it from website? I double checked it with Firefox and IE and still can't find any ROM upgrade...

maybe they think is not broken..so they don't need to fix it yet
i hope that 2.0 rom will make a lot of changes, espacially in speed.
I am hoping that HTC put in a time machine into the diamond so then we can all go into the future and download the amazing splenderific v10 rom with builtin kitchen sink!

I don't understand this. 1.93 has been available for weeks and various regional versions have been incorporated into many different cooked ROMS. What is the source of this post as it does sound like old news to me..

HTC website says that they have a new ROM based on 2/27/09. Every time I try to download it, the site gives me an error with my SN. Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device. Well, I have an UNLOCKED UNBRANDED US3G HTC diamond DIAM110. They have to get their acts together. Or I am loosing it.

Hey, I'm in the same boat. I contacted HTC about that, and the response I got was that the update was for the Euro/Asian Diamond, not the US 3g model. I thought it was a stock HTC phone, but was told that our phone was distributed by Brightpoint, and that HTC would only release a rom update, if ever, when Brightpoint requested one. Oh and when I asked for some contact info for Brightpoint, I was told they (HTC) didn't have any and to google them.
The guy who can make this happen is at brightpoint north america headquarters. His name is sean mulroy.
Email him like i have at [email protected].
