Hello, on wm5 I used to be able to assign a voice command to 2 set a voice command for varios applications. For example I have media player set to start media player.
I cant seem to get this to work on wm6
Anyone else ?
Figured it out
Ok, I feel like a tard.
instead of voice command needing to be trained, it reads the program name.
Wich is kind of lame because on wm5 I would jsut say media.
and now i have to say start media player.
...
any comments on this ?
Under WM5 voice command was the same as under 6, are you sure it wasn't voice commander you were using?
With voice command you can say "play [media|album|genre|artist|anything]" if you say "media" it'll ask you for which one you want to play, for album, artist & genre it'll prompt you from the ones in your library.
Finally, you could rename the short cut to "media" and then you'll be good to go
Voice Commander?
Well, it was something default from the tmobile wm5. I could click the right soft key when an application was highlited and say add voice command.
Im curious about this voice commander though, I use the phone media player when i snowboard and that sounds like something awesome to be able to choose genre, playlist etc.
Where can i download it ?
I broke it.
I dont know why , it voice command was working fine. I changed the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway
from OEMAGW.dll to bthag.dll
and rebooted.
after doing this when i hold the home key down it brings up a recording menu to record voice notes I guess.
I changed the registry key back to OEMAGW.dll and rebooted.
The same thing happens . only opens up some record thing.
Can somone explain how to get his work again ?
Reloaded
Just said screw it after mucking with it for a few hours. Perfomed a factory reset and started over.
Wishing i had sprite or something. but its nice to have it all clean and a fresh load of apps....

i'm use Microsoft Voice Command US 1.6 (SmartPhone) and my Call Confirmation doesn't seem to be working... on my pocket pc version it would Repeat the contact name and i would say YES then it would dial. With the Smartphone version i'm receiving no confirmation at all ... should i reinstall or is it built this way?
check options
if you have it enabled it should work, make sure and check you settings for sound and profile. check what your system volume setting is at. if it is o or 1 you might not here it, just an idea.
check all of that, i guess i'll reinstall and see what happens
make sure you reset your phone
i had to reinstall, everything working fine now
I can't believe I got it to work, but with some help from DeepThought in this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295967) and other posts - I got it to work!
Here are the steps (many copied directly from DeepThought, so he gets the credit! )
First change/create the following registry keys
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path = "\Program Files\Bluetooth Voice Command\BTVoiceCommand.exe" (string)
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\VoiceCmdDuration = 30 (dword)
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\LaunchAPEnable = 1 (dword)
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = "OEMAGW.dll" (string)
Second, Create the Folder
\Program Files\Bluetooth Voice Command
Third, Place downloaded "BTVoiceCommand.exe" in that folder
and the downloaded "btagext.dll" in the Windows folder (both files below - again, from DeepThought)
Fourth, create the folder \Program Files\Voice Command
Lastly, copy voicecmd.exe from the windows folder on your device, to \Program Files\Voice Command
Soft reset your device, and good luck!
I just reloaded the MS Voice Command 1.6 that I bought at Handango and I am able to dial from my headset with no issues.

THANKS MAN!
this is working great man! THANKS!!!!
please, how to change/create those following registry keys ?
BUMP!
I tried what you said above and either my BT820 doesn't work with WM6 or my Dash isn't set up properly.
Any chance you could do some screen shots to show how the registry is supposed to look with the values and what not?

This solution worked on my Tmobile Wing. Thanks a million.
I tried to apply those reg settings but now when I push the bt button I hear the prompt for voice tag (it is still an improvement compared to before) but I'd like to use voice command
Could somebody help me, because I don't have a clue on how this is possible
Built In Ricky's 6.1 (30) ROM

All the BT features you are looking for are built into Ricky's 6.1 (30) ROM, including BT dun, even you can make call and answer your phone via your BT headset..........! You no longer have to do that old hack in post #1..........!
Thank you for taking the time to post this. I follwed your instructions carefully and it worked the first time. However, I do have experience editing the registry so it was easy for me to see where you were going with the instructions. Works great with my garmin GPS. Thanks
Gee. I tried all these steps on my WM6.1 Dash and nothing. (voicecommand works when I press and hold the home key but nothing happens in bluetooth). I triple checked the settings and locations of the files etc ...
Anyone have any insights?

I take it back. I can press my bluetooth headset (or the home key) and the voice command icon appears - but that's it. Nothing I say - either when connected BT or not has any affect. So I checked and all my tags are gone AND the menu selection to add a voice tag (to contacts or other programs) are gone. What gives? Anyone?

my t-mobile dash has no sound at all help
Wow, it works just fine! I have a 2-week old HTC Ozone and I'm using an ancient Motorola H505 BT headset because it is the only one that I can pair up with the phone.
After I tried turning it on by using File Explorer going to \Program Files\Bluetooth and hitting the voice command exe I heard a beep and I saw a little microphone icon appear on the home screen. I said "call home" and the phone started connecting. Then I shut down all tasks. Next, while on the home screen, I pressed and held the green call button and the little mic icon appeared again. I said "call home" again and the phone started dialing again.
Once I activated it, it stayed on in the background. But if you activate it and don't use it right away, the mic icon disappears and it automatically shuts down.
Now I need to find out how to make a shortcut link to put in the MRU so I can use it again!
PS I did NOT have to make a voice tag for it to work. But I did do a soft reset before I tried it out.
i would like to try this but i dont have voicemd.exe on my phone i do have voice command installed what do i do?
never mind i didnt see the the c in voicecmd lol will try and let you know if it works on a blackjack
this didnt work on my blackjack i607 i don't have the OEMAGW.dll does anyone know where i can get it?
Just been syncing some music to my TP2 and, rather annoyingly, the HTC music player will not play in track number order!!
If I use windows media player, the tracks play in their correct order.
Anyone else seen this - or got a solution??
Are you using .m4a (AAC) files from iTunes? If so, my Touch Pro (raphael) does exactly the same thing. I find it so annoying too. Real shame to hear that HTC still can't even get this one simple thing right. Search the forums, there are various posts about it here and there, though as yet I don't think anyone has worked out a way around the problem - do have a look for yourself though as I gave up searching a few months ago ; )
If you use MP3 files, they will appear in track order...
Come on HTC - this is terrible!
My source music is wma lossless, and the sync process transcodes it into 192K WMA files on the phone.
Can`t believe this is a long standing bug!! V poor!!
just disavble any crappy "transcoding" in activesync - you don't need it.

I cant do that - my source files are *lossless* - that means file sizes of around 40mb per track!!!!

I have the same problem. I'm use the same songs from my fuze and the fuze loaded them right
anyone found a fix for this yet?
My source files are also lossless wma and the sync transcodes them to 128kb/s wma and I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to convince some HTC tech support guy that this is actually happening. I'm about ready to pull my hair out, this guy will not admit even the possibility of this happening. He keeps coming up with yet another thing to try or another reason that it is my fault.
I'm OK with the occasional bug in SW. Just as long as the company acknowledges it and works to fix it but when they go to this much trouble to avoid even acknowledging it ...
S
i had been looking for a fix to this issue for a very long time, until i found out that the problem is caused (in my case) by
1) windows media player not saving the track numbers correctly into the files
2) touch flow only looking in the "right" place for the track information, which is not the place where wm player stores it
my solution:
1) download mp3tag (freeware app)
2) put all tracks of album you want to fix into the program
3) select all tracks and re-save the tag information (you don't have to change anything, the program just saves the information that is in the audio file "somewhere" into the right place)
4) place the fixed files on your phone again
easy fix....use coreplayer
I never liked the way WMP or the native media player handled files, etc. Coreplayer has been such a better experience!
Okay, I'm trying to write a script to send Left, Right, Up or Down to my music player, Pocket Tunes.
I've got the command right to send the keystrokes, but the problem I have is that Pocket Tunes is playing in the background and after I send the command, it moves to the selected app. I want the app to stay in the back ground, or at the very least restore whatever app is currently the focus to being in front.
Any ideas?
Hmm...Maybe you can get in contact with the developer of Pocket Tunes and ask about PostMessaging their program. If you could use SendMessage or PostMessage with the correct WM_ID (Message ID), and lParam and wParam, then you could accomplish this quite easily. I am not so sure how open the dev. will be to releasing this data. it is worth a shot tho.

The long way there would be to check the current active window first and save that name. Then run the rest of your script. At the end show the previous window. Problem could be some windows do not have names. Also, this will not stop PT from showing for a moment. I think the send command above would work better, but you need the right values.
Chances are the WM_ID would be WM_COMMAND (For Command Bar, or SoftKeys, etc.) and the code to that is 273 (0x0111) ... However WM_COMMAND requires a specific identified for the lParam i think (or wParam, gosh I can never remember haha) which would be what you need the dev. to tell you.
Best of luck
I am quite frustrated, and wondering if there is a problem with my phone, or if I could have made some sort of unintentional setting change for my SGS2. I have had the phone for 2 weeks with no problems, but all of a sudden today my Google Voice Actions and Vlingo will not work. From my best assessment, it is not hearing my voice or not hearing it well enough to make anything out. Whenever I speak something into the phone -- and I have done this on this phone and my HD2 so I'm not new to speaking my requests -- it will sometimes immediately come back and say "No Matches Found". Once in a while it will open a browser window, and try to searc for 1 or two or three letter gibberish words: i.e. "bh", or "fns", or "g". It certainly does NOT recognize ANYTHING it used to! Just for fun, I downloaded JEANNIE, which seems to be another voice-action-type program. That also does not work. The microphone icon doesn't seem to light up much (which further makes me think it cannot "hear" me, and the program responds with, "pardon?" Phone calls I make are ok -- people can hear me -- just not these programs!! IS there a setting that I could have changed that prevents the programs from hearing my voice?? BTW, I did try to go to the Voice Actions app in MANAGE PROGRAMS and erased data, but that didn't help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I'll take it back to the store and see if they'll exchange it or know what's going on!
Thank you all for your reading this and for your help!

dude vlingo sucks man, the galaxy version is so much better
Does anyone know how, when in car mode, to get VLingo to navigate to a contact (say Home, for example)? You would think this would be a basic function for a hands-free program in car mode, but I can't figure it out. Everytime I say "Navigate to Home", it tries to take me to some Home bakery or something like that. Can I even navigate to an address I give it with this thing?
I know it's been overhyped, but Siri is the one thing from that fruit phone I wish this phone had. Don't get me wrong. I was so close to getting the "other" phone, but opted for the Samsung instead. And after playing around with the iphone, I'm glad I did. But Vlingo seriously makes me want to punch it in the screen sometimes.
Well, I figured out how to get Vlingo to go home. Go to Vlingo->Settings->Voice talk Settings->Home address and type in your home address. Now you can say "Navigate to Home".
But after using it more, I see more problems with it. Vlingo can navigate to restaurants, but not contacts. It can call contacts, but not restaurants. WTF Vlingo?!? Can we get all of the above please in the near future?
