it would be just perfect if you could take all the softwares... since just like you i dont use any... pshutxp (i hate that crappy skin), hibernate mode and battery on tray, pimbackup... all souns on windows folder, all the themes(i love the simple grey one ) a and so on...

no iv just changed the splash screens to the original htc ones and welcome picture no longer says "www.pdaviet.net" -eg its no longer PDAVIET branded

Go to start/settings/connections/wireless lan/powermode and change it to best performance.
Maybe this helps for you.
I did that, but it doesn't seem to effect at all..
If there is a bug in that slider app, can I set right powermode straight to the registry?
And yes I am sitting only three meters avay from my router and still getting only about 15% of full signal strenght.

fix the 3 pictures in easy steps
here how I did it, I am not an expert but it works for me.
move the file called (RUU_signed) from the folder of the ROM.
put this file (HTC Splash) instead of it.
just press (ROMUpdateUtility) like you do for upgrading the ROM it only take few seconds and you find that you have a diffrent start screen.
now you only left with one last screen wich you could change it by changing the image file in your windows via active syn called (welcomehead.96). just drag it to windows folder and replace the original one.

The only time you see the PDAVIET logo is when you reboot.
So whats the issue?

If you dont like the PDAVIET logo then write your own bloody rom. or at least learn how to

I think that PDAVIET put alot of work. But it's Almost Perfect, the Splash Screens are really horrible, these Roms deserve better.
This is why you'll find in this forum alot of complains about how to make the screens better (or at least original)/

Touch Flo cube because Touch Flo work perfect in my Artemis.Without any problem.

I think this has something to do with the Phone. I disabled the phone function ( I hate calling with this thing..to damn slow) and it's still @ 100%) I should also mention that i have a poor reception where i live... so my phone searches the network all the time. This doesn't do my battery life any good also.
Really looking forward to the next TomRom (B&B v4). Keep up the great work buddy.

????? all you need to do Joey is go to the drop down menu it the top right corner, click options, button on the bottom tab and tick end progrmas by tapping "x" and now you have your button.

I bought an HTC p3600 last week and upgraded it WM6 for no obvious reason at the time. I tried over 6 different ROMs, and no offense to the beloved cookers, i couldn't stand the bugs, so I downgraded to WM5 again. The only things I'm missing from WM6 are the task manager menu on the top right of today menu (xBotton), which was extremly handy, the lovely big TouchPad and KeyPad, keyboards which Bepe has put in his ROMs, which are very good for writing messages with one hand, and the quick search in emails, while you typed your search string while in the inbox or any other folders. The last but the least is of coures, HTC home which is so good looking and handy.
Now is there anyway i could install these on WM5? I need cracked versions of course, as i'm leaving in Iran and due to lovely embargos getting worse every day I have no means to pay for stuff. So pls comment.

Try using the Dopod WM6 ROM or search this forum for the cab files you want.

One example is that ActiveSync was loosing it's connections in one of the cooked ROM's. That's not a problem if you use it only as phone but not handy when you sync mail from Outlook etc.
It's a big bug, but within a day it was fixed in that ROM and I could choose to use other ROM too.
The forum is called XDA Developers and that means bugs, but lastest developments too. You can't ask a bug free ROM incl. the lastest software. If you want that bug free ROM, maybe you consider an official build or consider another sort of phone like a Nokia 3310.
OR
Define your most important feautures and select one which has those features working. Report the bugs in the other features, but don't complain about them.

I did installed successfully, without any trick or crack the HTC X-Button 1.5 onto my wm5 official Qtek ROM on my Wizard.
So you can definitely have it on your wm5 ROM, just try to find the cab on the forum, it is somewhere there.
If you don't find it PM me, I will upload it for you.

A lot of wm6.1 roms coming out now have the 1% battery increment working. HOWEVER, wm6.1 can be bad for noobs...
You need to know what you're doing or you may have other problems.
Personally, I like jumping in to see how deep the water is and took the plunge but i did research first on potential problems and fixes... I like PDAViet. 19949 is the latest build but be careful you get one where the timebomb has been disarmed...

As an FYI, you get 1% increments in the Power window.. but the battery levels at top (at least in MRH 5.02) only move in 10% increments.

Mister Senior Member the threads are thrown only after full research...we have researched all over the forum and google but can't find anything for "HERMES" notice that word HERMES. OKAY.
So there are no battery status for hermes that shows 1% decrement.
So please if you can help us...you are welcomed...

this is not an update for Hermes ROM but a modification of the batters DLLs that can be replaced while cooking a ROM. it was developed and reached in the beginning by CRCinAus and then by all other chefs.
there is no any possibilty to make a cab file that replaces the modules because these DLLs are protected and can not be replaced. so if you want to enjoy this feature on your Hermes, you need to flash one of the latest WM6.1 that you can find on the forums.

Correct it has to be modified during the cooking process, CRCinAU was the first one that had enabled that reporting by hacking the driver dll files, hope he can come up with the next hack where we can have wifi running while the device sleeps, wishful thinking and a bit off topic but eh he can do one I am sure he can do another miracle.

Pocket Mechanic pro does this, big file but allows it.
I am also of the opinion that Schaps advanced 3.2 does it now. check the menu/more settings/connections tab. "Enable WI-Fi on standby mode"

if you are ready to cook your ROMs then you may replace the new DLLs in WM6 or WM5 kitchens (I suppose) but why do you want to cook WM6 builds if there are enough WM6.1 builds over here?

True! Your believe re SAC is right! but I find that when ever it goes to sleep it hangs the rom when it wakes up, even a soft reset doesn't really help, until I disable the feature

Introduction:
This is an adaptation (and at the same time final version) of my previously released tsowen's adaptation.
I had changed a few things a while back and finished it up recently, deciding it was good enough to share.
So, without further ado..!

i have installed the cab file and stored it in my main memory but there is no change in the icons... do i need another file or anything?
Did you soft-reset?
If you have SDKcerts installed and install this to your main memory, they should all show up right away.
If you keep having problems, I'd say something else gets in the way. Try a hard-reset and then try installing this again.

Dear Angelusz, any ATA on the 6.5 version? Been using your icons on my Xperia running on Win 6.1 with IT ROM 10.2 but just recently switched to Win 6.5 and there are not many iconsets around wich look any good, at least not as good as yours....;-)

Been using that iconset for a day but i don't like it that much. Thanx anyway for the tip.
At the mo i use the iconset from the HTC Blackstone by Gfreek.

I was hoping to see the GPS icon when the GPS is enabled, no luck.
Google Maps work and Garmin, but no GPS icon. It will be nice to see when your GPS module is active and when it is not.
If you whant me to try some fixes for you, please inform me what to do and i shall test them for you
Actually, I don't think the GPS icon ever shows with the internal GPS. Though I'm not 100% sure on that part.
Dear Angelusz, thanks a lot! I was using tsowen v3 1.4 on my Topaz and liked it very much. However my device would freeze if I ever wanted to change volume. With your taskbar 2.2 there is no more kinky volume control Now I'm a very happy man!

Like others said there is a problem with signal icon. I can see the new signal icon, but there is no power level of signal and there is no diffrent icon while changing GSM freq. (gsm/edge/hspa).
There is a problem only in winMO 6.5 (my is Christian.SE.2)
In winMO 6.1 there wasn't any problems.
