I have been messing around with windows mobile 6 and it seems like every rom i try i still have missed calls and my phone seems to work half to time....so im told to jump back to a stable wm5 but i dont think i want the regular rom a built one would prob be alot better. and where can i find it?

Just wanna get an idea of what you guys think are the fastest, most stable and least bloated ROMs.
Thus far for me its gotta be the Qtek latest ROM (v1.30 i think) which is pretty fast and so far has not caused me any problems. It does not install a lot of useless stuff on it which is good for me coz I do not use them anyways.
What do you guys thinks?
latest is 1.31.79. I read a lot in this forum and it seems that o2 roms are popular. Then you have aku3.2.
i used to use the O2 ROM but did not really like it as it was pretty bloated and it was not as stable as the QTEK one. you mean the latest O2 ROM is very good?

i ran the O2 ROM last night and today. if you used the corporate mode (0506) it removed the extra icons and junk. but it seemed to work ok. i just switched to the QTEK to get A2DP (but my ThinkOutside BT mouse doesn't seem to install correctly... try again tomorrow)

Well, the QTEK ROM is purported to have A2DP. i have the QTEK WWE version, and will recieve a pair of headphone this week to make sure.
in any case the 'Tornado A2DP patch' works on UNIVERSAL too.

essentially it means support for stereo over bluetooth.
Personaly, I don't think that anything beats Ivan's AKU3.2 ROMS. Definately the fastest around and I have no compatibility problems whatsoever.

Well I used to use it but only for the announcements. The release of the (experimental) AKU3.2 rom's is the best thing since sliced bread. Very fast performance and stability. The one I preffer is the Ivan one.
If you experience a country ID error locate the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe. Ivan's releases of the AKU 3.2 rom has it in the package.
I think Jwrights 3.2 ROM is the most stable one i have used till now.

I used almost all Ivan's roms from beta 6 till beta 14
But the latest Jwrights is more stable and I think a little bit faster
But it too has some bugs and if u r patient enough then just wait till next week as Jwrights is planning to upload the newer 1.91 version of his AKU 3.2 ROM .

ms voice command will not work with ANY 3.2 AKU ROM for that matter anysoftware requiring the old pim.vol will not work....
and the problem is because m$ have decided to redo there pim management

i would say do not try it, but if you read the forum, you will find there is no WM6 for this device yet, you couold try and install it, but you would find out the very hard way that this isnt the correct rom for your device.
until you can unlock your device, then get hold of an official rom update from your own or another provider, then stick with WM5, at least you know it works..

I would'nt agree more,don't even think about it right now,wait for the official release.
Most GPS Software currently will not work with WM6.
Also your phone cannot be CID or SIM unlocked yet, I would hold off my friend or you could brick your phone !
I wouldn't trust anything from a torrent especially something that can turn your phone into a brick.

so i decided to go back to wm5 after buying my dash with wm6 already installed. Kinda ran sluggish having freezing and reboot probs i was lucky to have save my wm5 offical rom from tmo back in 06' to disk. now i have 23mb program memory used and only storage memory says 75.56 total and free is 68.51 only using 7.05 runs quick quick like that htc rom 1.33
if anyone needs this rom please pm me
if anyone here thinks i should go back to wm6 PLEASE give me opinons

you also have to remember that since this is a CLEAN install you are naturally going to have more free storage and more free memory. Unless you don't install ANYTHING on your phone this is going to deteriorate over time.
Can i get a copy of the OM...i like collecting them

If you decide to upgrade. You need to upgrade to 6 then 6.1, or you will have issues. Remember baby steps

I would recommend kavana's ROM only if you plan on using the phone as more than just a phone. If all you do is make and receive calls, then any ROM will suit you. But, if you like flare, and additional functionality as well as speed, then yes the kavana 6.1 ROM is the best i've seen so far. And i have tried the Wm5 t-mo Wm6 t-mo the HTC 1.33 brightpoint ROM and kavana's ROM and kavana's is the best for an "everything" ROM

I totally agree.
The only one i have not tried was Rickys but his is kavanas prior to his English version.
You need to MAXIMIZE the S620, or else go get a v3T

Just upgrade to Kavanas 6.1 V18 (link on his thread)
you dont need to sign up. Just upload and it spits out a link for you.

I have frustrated of trying all the roms. Manila 3D, touch Flo.... etc...
All of them have some bugs and need to resolve.
Like today, when I need the GPS thing to be functioning and guess wat, in the end i paid the taxi driver for the route.

try the Roms made by tnyynt to get all you need from your trinity... they are fast and stable...they are a bit old but i still use them since i don't like manilla aswell.

from my personal experience it drains a hell lot of battery than wm5.0 official rom only thing i miss are office 6.1 and gps functions. i wish there was a way i can install office 6.1 on wm5.0, i downloaded the office mobile cab files for trinity but they don't work when i install they show unknown icons and dont open when i click on them.

Hi guys, I tried this last night, yea its quick but as soon as i changed that iphone theme with something more like able, the Playboy Playmate Review by Phonatic and a few other Apps, it slowed down also it contains that activesync bug too. Gotta remember its Beta and hope some of our experienced cookers can rape and mark it with there own stamp !!
I had this rom for 3 days and it is really slow. I did not like the way it works and everything when a new message is received, I try to use the manilla it would hang. Hence I used the other 6.5 Rom from PDAviet. It is stable and also consume less battery than PDAMobiz rom.

Hello, i'm Thai and very impressive with this rom after using 2 days.
I think he made this rom by using Extra Tools (Full SYS and Full XIP ported)
This rom use Camera software Ver 6.13 so you can fix focus quickly and include with Panorama Mode.
But the important is This rom is a beta Version.

Too bad the hardware does not support any kind of focus. It is impossible to get auto focus of any kind to work because the camera/lens simply cant support it. 6.13 is also included in Gullums rom and some other roms, unfortunately it wont allow you to focus on anything.
