previously i have had spvs/htc from the m1000 thru to the m3100 and e650.
I have bought this ubiquio device and would like t see if an upgrade rom is available.
I have read this is similar to the htc wizard (and ubiquio roms have been used to cook roms for htc)
is a wizard rom a possibility to upgrade?

I have a MDA Compact II but i don't like the T-mobile branding. I kow that you can debrand it with hardreset and a softrest, but i would like to have the original HTC Charmer Rom without any branding! Have you any idea where i can get these? It should be german and with the new aku 2.3.

i want debranded rom....
There was a debranded ROM on the forums however this did not have AKU 2 as it was based on the original version of the ROM. I haven't seen a new version of this.
There is no official debranded ROM as the charmer was only released by T-Mobile and not by anyone such as imate or qtek.

First of all what is the Orange SPV M3100? If it is not a HTC UNIVERSAL, then you can't use any of the ROMs under the Universal thread.
M3100 = HTC TyTN, Hermes etc... the ROM i have is named "Hermes_WM6_vanilla" When i run the installer it has a picture of the M3100, if thats any help
You are in the wrong forum dude.
These ROMs are particular to the model of phone, please don't flash with any ROM other than those built for your phone or you'll brick your device!

I'm new to the xda-developers forum.
I've carefully read all informations available on the wiki and in various threads of the forum, and I have to say that I'm a little confused with upgrading / downgrading stuff.
First of all, I have a SPV M3100 bought in France, Simlocked to Orange France (HERM100, IPL 1.01, SPL 1.11).
I would like to test the official HTC WM6 ROM, but I'm not sure on how I should process.
First, as far as I have understood, it is a good idea to install HardSPL v7, which allows me to flash the HTC Rom on my Orange France CID-locked device. Am I right ?
Second step, I have downloaded the HTC_TyTN_FRA_3.54.256.2_103_6275_1.47.00.10_108.exe file from the following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320829
From here I'm not sure on how to proceed.
Knowing that I would like to be able to rollback to the official WM5 rom shipped by Orange France (which I have already downloaded from the wiki), what should I do:
- either flash the WM6 rom directly. I'm afraid of "overwriting" the hardspl v7 stuff in the device ?
- or extracting the content of the WM6 rom and doing all the stuff described in http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeGuide to remove the bootloader from the ROM ?
I have read some posts about custom RUU too... What does this means ? Am I concerned ?
