Bootloader Mode? - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

Hi, just got this O2 orbit, trying to put on touch flo.run that USPL, then it updated something. then treid to update rom but failed!. So tried to put phone in bootmode 'Hold down the voice speed dial button and soft reset - you should then enter bootloader mode 'multicolored' screen' , but it will not go in boot mode?. The phone just starts normal. why can I not get the phone in boot mode.
thanks (new to this phone)

Bootloader is different on this devive. Hold down two Softkeys ( above Windows Button and OK button ) while pressing reset with stylus. Once text comes on screen, press green call button to HARD RESET.

Hold down the speed dial button, push and release the soft reset, keep the speed dial button held down until the bootloader screen appears.

Or:
Start - Settings - System - Clear Storage
But that's a Hard Reset, it still won't go into Bootloader.

BootLoader
Press and keepholding voice record button while using stylus to soft reset. this will take you into boot loader mode.

Sorry. My mistake. What i described was a Hard Reset not entering Bootloader. Sorry again m8!!

Thanks, tried both. only had phone 1 week. Its a bit slow.

[Q] How to reset OS??

I was facing some problems with my touch diamond from past few days. So I have installed new ROM 6.5, it was working properly but after next day I found OS is hanged so I restarted windows. But then it is stopped at the beginning only, it cannot able to boot completely. So I have tried hard reset (vol down + action + reset) but it also doesn't work. So I can't able to connect it to laptop through activesync.
Any body have solution on this to reset OS??
Please tell me...
X
Reinstall ROM from Internal storage
Press Vol Down + Back button (Bottom right) + Reset
Keep hold of First two buttons, and only press reset once, keep hold of first two buttons until coloured bootloader screen appears, follow instructions
Hard Reset
Press Vol Down + Middle Circle button + Reset
Keep hold of First two buttons, and only press reset once, keep hold of first two buttons until coloured bootloader screen appears, follow instructions
Re
I have tried Vol Down + Back button (Bottom right) + Reset
but it was showing the screen showing message like 'Trigger USB host...' and after some time it was showing 'Retry Enter USB'
After that I supposed to press vol down + action(circle button) for some time until coloured boot loader screen appears, to enable USB connection. After that I could reinstall the system.
Thanks for the help.

SO it is all working now ?

I found this on another forum:
### START
Please follow the steps below to be able to solve the problem
Soft Reset :
Remove the battery, then re-insert it.
Note: Soft resetting your phone deletes all unsaved data.
safe mode:
Press power key then press and hold the menu key
1. Press " power key " for power on device
2. Wait until "HTC logo" appears on screen
3. Press and hold " Volume down key " until entering OS
4. " Safe Mode " text will appears on the lower left of screen.
1.If the display is off, press the POWER button to turn it back on.
2.Unlock your phone if the Lock screen is displayed. See “Unlocking the screen” in the Getting started chapter.
3.Press and hold the POWER button, and then tap Restart.
4.When asked to confirm, tap Restart.
If you can’t restart the phone following the above steps, remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, reinsert the battery, and then turn the phone on.
### END
Using the above procedure the DHD does NOT go into safe-mode. have you tested this ?
thats becuase we dont have a menu button.
Yes we have. Take a look at the button that says "Menu" on your device.
That is not actually a button its touch sensitive and that doesn't work when your booting

boot to recovery, that's where it will take you
I'm seriously not trying to be a ****, but that's pretty useless information. Obviously a factory reset will remove the pattern or password, along with everything else. That would be a last-ditch option... when everything else fails, this will, without a doubt work. Also, to boot into recovery just hold power + volume up. No need to hold the home button, stand on your head, and do a split while singing Hotel California just to enter recovery.
Just FYI, by typing "remove pattern unlock android site:forum.xda-developers.com" in Google, it pulls up many various techniques of doing the same thing WITHOUT losing data.

My technique to boot into recovery / download mode:
1. Start with device all the way off.
2. Press and hold the volume down or volume up button as desired.
3. THEN Press and hold the power button until the system begins showing signs of life. Samsung logo or whatever. Release power button but keep holding volume button without fail.
4. When you get to recovery or download mode, release volume key.
If that doesn't work, consider you may have a button hardware failure or some serious other fault.
I used to have lots of trouble getting into recovery or download mode, because I tried to press power and volume keys at same time. That resulted in sporadic operation. Doing it as I describe above, starting with volume key, works every time.

You don't need to hold volume up/down before pressing power, but it doesn't hurt. You can hold the power button until the device vibrates and let off. As soon as you feel the vibration, you can then switch to holding volume up until you see the blue text in the upper-left hand corner that says "Recovery booting." Once you see that blue text you can release the volume key and you will enter recovery mode every single time. Same way with download mode. Basically, as long as you're holding whichever volume button you want when the Galaxy S4 splash screen pops up, you will enter the corresponding mode. Also, there is no real need to start from the device being powered off completely. You can actually use your basic power menu (or advanced, depending on the ROM) and select Reboot/Restart and then hold the correct volume key when the screen powers off; although with an advanced power menu the option to boot to either is obviously both there and foolproof
I have never understood why people make entering download/recovery mode a lot more complicated than it actually is... I've never had trouble getting into download or recovery mode because it's not hard at all.

Or flash CWM, pull the /data/system/gesture.key file and open it with Revskills > Cryptoanalysis > Bruteforce android pattern lock (for pattern) - pull /data/system/password.key and /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db and open them with Revskills > Cryptoanalysis > Bruteforce android passcode
You will just need to find a Revskills.zip with key latest version is 2.08.6
can u elaborate on this
When you can't boot into recovery you can wipe your phone with the computer using ODIN
If the person can boot the phone into recovery and perform a factory wipe, Odin is not required.

Shut the phone down. then remove the battery and wait 20 seconds and reinsert it. Then try to get into recovery (look here for how to http://www.android.gs/enter-recovery-mode-lg-g3/) mode and see if the phone is recognised by the computer if you connect it. Then do a data factory reset in recovery.
Turn off your phone – you can press power button once for selecting “power off” or you can press and hold the power key for about 5 or 6 seconds.
Now, press and hold Power and Volume down buttons at the same time.
When the LG logo appears, release the keys.
Immediately press Power and Volume Down buttons again until the Hard Reset menu will be displayed.
Press Power button once and confirm the hard reset operation (this will not be necessarily if your LG G3 is running on a custom recovery image).
That’s it; now your LG G3 will boot into recovery mode.
