HTC has removed the confirmed date web site. The link is no longer exit. HTC WM6 is not yet available to download for Dopod 838.

Just got off the phone with Dopod Philippines. They said the release will be delayed until August or September as they have been having problems with the Dopod Test rom

You can go to www.dopodasia.com, then register and will see the list of upgrade sw for Dopod 900 (as well as for other Dopod's). But the latest ROM upgrade for Dopod was released in April 2006 and related to the AKU2 push mail / communications tools etc.. Nothing new since then (e.g. AKU3, A2DP...). Thong Nguyen

I have as well dopod 900 and using the rom helmi AKU 3.5 1.3.
Dopod did not realese any new ROM since April and it was in AKU 2.0
I would suggest using helmi AKU 3.3 1.2 which seams more stable or same as me the Helmi AKU 3.5 1.3.

have you check under Settings Phoneservicesclick on voice Mail and Text messages and see whether there is any number listed?
The reason I have not yet upgraded to AKU3.x is its incompatibility with Blackberry BB Connect, meaning I need to have 2 devices again :-(

I bought my Dopod D810 in HK few weeks ago, however, when i put it my serial no on the registration page, it gave me an invalid S/N message and wont let me register.

Just found the official VPA Compact III / IV update to Windows Mobile 6 on the Vodafone D2 Support pages (Hilfe & Support > Technischer Support > Vodafone Personal Assistant > VPA compact III). I did not have time yet to install it though.
File name is RUU_Hermes_VF_CH_GER_3.54.166.3_6275_1.47.00.10_108_Ship_UpdateSplash.exe.
Any feedback on this version (compared to the official HTC TyTN version) is welcome!

It was a swiss ROM, VF has now another there:
RUU_hermes_VF_DE_3.54.162.2_6275_1.47.00.00_108_ship.exe
With this one, some VF-today-plugs are installed (without extend Rom), and the possible german VF-Account-data are preinstalled.
I like the swiss-variant more. If its possible and not illegal, i could upload both files here. Perhaps one of the mods could tell me how if its possible.

You will simply get a text version of the portal.
I figured out in a german forum that it might be a serverside problem of Vodafone and not a Client problem.
So unfortunately changing the Useragent or UaProof will not work...

The screenshots I've seen of the "release" (AT&T's HTC Pure and HTC Tilt 2) version show the "old style" 6.5 without the new bottom bar and shorter top bar, etc.

The windows Mobile 6.5 was today oficially launched here in Lisboa/Portugal in a 4 in one press conference. (presents were Microsoft, TMN (portuguese provider, Samsung and ZTE (chinese phone makers)) to launch some models with the "new" OS.
From Samsung we have the Omnia II i8000, 99,99 Euros and the Omnia Lite B7300, 49,99 euros with contract). not bad!!!

Marketplace works fine in my 23420 ROM. I just installed it and updated it and it works fine. I plan on including it from now on since its actually live.
mmm official builds will come as COM2 builds 218XX old style... the last 218XX builds unofficial... are very fast and stable no bugs at all... HTC HD2 and HTC Pure will be the first to have this new UI Official builds...
Of course when the builds are available or any has a device to dump surely we will do our best job to have that builds for our hermes...
