Hello!
When I am not wrong, the close button of most programms does not REALLY close it, the progs keep running in background! Do they?
Is there some kind of task manager for the BA?

you are right, the progs dont really close!
and yes, there are many of task managers, but you know that already.
you will have to try them out for yourself, unless noone offers advice or tipps...

Weird post.. but ok.
Go to start menu>settings>system>memory>running programs and close them from there.
That's as much of a default task manager as you will find.

i was looking for freeware task managers to install in addition to the one on the mda, which doesnt seem to be that good from my pov... i actually found some very helpfull tools (eg. MagicButton,...)

Wisbar is good, but slows down my BA alot. It tends to mess up quite alot too. Like sometimes certain bubbles won't open. Also, the alert icon isn't specific (ie. no way of telling whether you have a missed call/message/low battery/GPRS connection just by looking)
I find that you spend as much time double checking things using wisbar as you would just closing all the apps separately.
wisbar is a great skinning program but not a very good task manager.
i am actually waiting for the version that disables all features except for the skinning ability.

I tried this and it killed my ringtone. I could not tell when someone rang me it did not even show up a missed call is this common or just me?

you have to get the latest version. go to the lakeridge site and enter the forum.there you will find the latest build that works.
currently i'm using wisbar advance 2.4.1.8 along with wisbar advance desktop beta .07
It's running pretty stable and it takes less memory usage than spb pocket plus.

Wow, seriously guys, i think this wisbar adv. v2 is kinda cool, i mean there is so much more you can do with it than what u normally can with default ppc software, i got a m2000 and it works well. It used to lock up forcing soft resets really often, but now i upgraded to v2.4.1.8 and i cant even remember when last it locked up.
I really think this is a program worth getting...

1) Suspend/PowerOff button
2) Alt-Tab so i can link it to a hard button
3) Softreset which i have that i am uploading here but doesn't have a Icon. Its just a plain program. If you have one with a nice icon, please upload here?

I actually found that cab the same time you posted it here. But i am trying to find the suspend and softreset the same way. But i always get some other threads that doesn't provide the cab. Rather they talk about other things.
Do you have the Suspend and Softreset programs?
maybe you would like me to come over and spoon feed you to? what does this have to do with WM6 in my eyes not a damn thing... Boy you just opened the perfect what not to post thread!! Make it yourself this is a devoloper forum remember not a cab dipository...
I can't remember where I saw it but what you are looking for is in here somewhere. Of course "suspend" and "softreset" will only return about a billion search results. Maybe someone will see your post and can help out more. Most of the folks here are helpful.
Hmm, um, a CAB for an app to soft reset your device? Isn't easier to use the stylus? Maybe I'm nuts?

I've found it. The Alt-tab and the suspend and the softreset. The Suspend and softreset are from this program.. pcshutxp or something like that.
One I've used for a while is PHM's freewares:

Can't remember if it's the Powertoys or Keys that gives you what you're after, I always tend to have both installed as they're pretty small (and free)!

That would be an awesome idea. Hopefully someone here will have the ability to do it. If you can somehow link the functions of the comm manager to run as programs or something kind of like the launcher, then maybe.
That make a lot of sense! It would be centralized and easy to access! Also, would probably free up memory!
might be a bit off topic.. juneyong in phonealarm forums created a skin that looks like the htc touch home plugin, its just in 3 tab and doesnt have the weather thing, but it has a tab which can manage the connections. meanwhile , i am playing with this one

Found this new x button and cooked last night. Everything is working with this one the only problem is its not in english. It knows the difference between the x and the ok button..LuXx

Dutty, I have great respect for the work you do so I have to ask, why would anyone bother with this Task Manager? Other than being able to set [X] to close instead of minimise it is a fairly useless app.
It is only functional as a task manager when you are at the Today screen, and inaccessible when you are in any other app (unless I have missed something).
Why would you use this when you could use TMan (http://pda.jasnapaka.com/tman/releases/0.9.8.php), SmartTask (http://www.fraganestis.com/chthon/software/SmartTask/), or any of the other task managers, with far more functionality?

Yes, I think other apps are much better and use less resource than this task manager...

I really like this new today design with titanium, hope im not alone with this
I would like to do some changes. I already know how i can change the order of the menu names, but i still don't know how can i change the links.
For example:
There is Favourites. If you click on it you can scroll right,left. There are your fav. webpages and the browser: Internet Explorer.
I hate IE, i prefer Opera.
How can i change it to Opera?
Please do not tell me "click on start and there will be the bulit in opera" because i know that i would like to change IE to opera in the new wm6.5 Today screen.

wanna know too, so far i have only found CHome configurator for windows smartphone. But it's not completely compatible. Also in the registry editor i found some keys regarding to the CHome (Titanium) settings and items present.

HKLM\Security\Microsoft\CHome
but i think editing the .cpr file is also needed for everything to work....
for myself i haven't got it working the way i want it, but may b we can make this a central thread if anyone finds out how to do it.... please put a tutorial in here........
