Wrong operator after upgrade

Hi everyone,
I did the newest i-mate upgrade for Universal and after that when it gives you the chance to choose your country operator, I choose Vodafone Portugal.
When I check in the installed programs, I see that it mentions that instead it's TMN Portugal settings that were installed.
Has anyone encountered the same error with this or other operators?

It is even worst with me.
I'm using TMN instead of Vodafone, but ever operator I've tried didn't succed.
ArcSoft MMS settings get ok, but all connections settings (Internet; MMS; WAP) didn't get in place. No connection is added.
Also settings applied from Qtek apps, show the same behaviour.
It seems Uni is not processing properly the CM_Entries.xml into the respective Operator CAB file. :evil:

Same problem here...no connections created.
Only ArcSoft MMS settings are ok.
Everything else is not there.

New Qtek 9000 (Universal) ROM very soon :-)

According to information I've received by e-mail, from local Qtek representative support, new Qtek ROM should be available to download in 7 to 10 days at www.myqtek.com (downloads available at website for registered users with valid IMEI).
Original answer e-mail is quoted bellow (in Portuguese).
De momento encontramo-nos a finalizar o configurador de redes para os novos modelos que estará disponível no www.qtek.com.pt e www.mobilitysolutions.com.pt .
Dentro de 7 a 10 dias será possível efectuar o download da versão mais recente para a versão mais recente em www.myqtek.com .

Naturally I also believe, the first one will be the WWE release.
It will be published at the international Qtek website, and not the local one.

Problems Registering
When I try to register on that site (www.myqtek.com), I get the message below. (I bought my QTEK in the US from www.madmonkeyboy.com)
"Not a valid IMEI# (only Brightpoint authorized original products are supported by this site. Contact your place of purchase for ongoing support of your device)"

I suppose that someone with a valid IMEI would download the ROM and then upload it here for the rest of us

Most certainly you got a correct message.
As you mentioned to have bought a Qtek, it's definitelly not a question of being an i-Mate or some other else brand, through which HTC puts their devices into the market.
However distributors change around the globe.
Qtek is distributed in Europe through two main distributors:
- Brightpoint inc. ( www.myqtek.com )
- Dangaard Telecom ( www.dangaard.com )
Here I got a bit confused because there is a long story of joint ventures acquisitons, etc... between Dangaard Telecom, Teleservice International and Arvato/Bertelsmann Group. It seems actualy the Distributor is Dangaard but service is given by Teleservice/Arvato!? :x
Anyway...
You can check at http://qtek.plots.com.tw/support.aspx, who gives support to your device entering the respective IMEI number.
For instance I've two Qtek devices bought in Portugal, which are supported by different entities. It depends how alliances evolve with local distributors through time:
- Qtek 2020 supported at http://www.teleservice.com
- Qtek 9000 supported at http://www.myqtek.com
I imagine different support services are valid for US.
Check at the site above, and post here who gives support to your device. Most likely not Brightpoint inc. ( www.myqtek.com ).
Anyway don't get nervous, someone here will post for sure on the fpt: the new ROM as soon as it gets available. :wink:

I have access to the Dutch QTEK Site so give me a shout when the update is out. I have a QTEK S110 also and when I registered that one I automatically get access to all hte other models info updates etc.

When I try to open ftp.xda-developers.com it says something like "anonymous logins not allowed" an also it doesnt't "accept" my login for this forum

login and password last time i logged in was xda for both login and password

Any news regarding the new AKU2 ROM for qTek 9000?
The Greek site www.qtek.gr has this ROM available since yesterday, but it's only available for devices bought by ACE Hellas, it is in Greek and is locked to device IMEI.
I suppose that places like www.myqtek.com should have the new ROM available by now. Anyone with a valid IMEI for www.myqtek.com?

with the IMEI of your device, check here http://qtek.plots.com.tw/support.aspx who gives support to it.

It told me that
"Sorry, the IMEI number you have entered is not a valid Qtek device number. Please try again. Thank you."
What shoud i do???

Is it possible to extract a firmware update (Nokia FFU for exemple) to read the registry?
I'm searching for Bouygues Telecom values for my personnal use... (I have a new unbranded phone).
If you have a branded phone and a registry editor, you can post the values for yor operator and I'll update this post ^^

I've posted this value!
You have to decompress a Nokia Bouygues Telecom 7.x rom from navifirm and you will get this value in oem folder!
Just for information ATT and TMOUS parameters for Visual Voice Mail are include in each roms.

I can't answer, just try to decompress a Nokia (or htc) rom from simple mobile (if it exist).
You'll find the rgu file on oem folder.

No you can't because VVM has to be activated on provider's servers for your account.

is it possible to make a shortcut with xml and provxml files to make a tile shortcut to lanch vvm?
i been trying but having trouble because i cant find the product id to launch the exe or if these files even exist?
anyway id like to make a short cut for launching vvm if anyone can help?

PhoneNumber1 would be set to your reginal VM pickup number. If you don't know it you can call ATT customer service or check another ATT phone.
Note that I don't think this info will help anyone though.
I tried setting RegOverridesSIM"=dword:1 and upon reboot, voicemail asks to enter the number to dial and no VVM option is available. So setting the regkey doesn't actually provision VVM. In order to do that, you need to provision via the SIM card by putting it in an Android/WP 4G phone, enable VVM on that phone, then put tbe SIM back in your 3G phone and dial voicemail. After a while, AT&T will send a super secret SMS message to the phone to activate VVM.

So, how do you go about changing these settings?
I've got a Lumia 620 on aio, and they're not releasing anything past Amber. I plan to flash a global ROM, and would like to setup visual voicemail. I will check the current settings tonight and post them here.

I'm not sure about this, I read on a forum that a guy ho has a LGE900 with free mobile have the vvm, are you sure ?
After I copied registry keys on my LGE900, the vvm option was activated on my free mobile account, and the option appeared on my phone, but when I try to activate the swith I've an error.

In my personnal Time i try to sent with Textra SMS app so many SMS (about 280). Android say "Many message to send, are you sur?" I say yes, but i'm very annoying with this problem.
I'm trying to install SMS limit Tool but it is'nt anymore compatible with android 5.0. Some software via google play store have the same pb.
Have you any answer to resolve this ?

So I put a rom deodexada Lollipop in my t2 (the only one that exists for him) At the beginning everything worked fine ... but ... now after a while, my connection to the internet service provider does not work ... I already configured the APN it saves, but ... when it comes to searching for a network to register the Internet (from any carrier) it fails ... could anyone guide me?,......
