If I change the homescreen layout and try to enter any sound setting (either the sound control screen or setting a ringtone for a specific number) the Dash becomes VERY sluggish and unresponsive. Any ideas how to fix this? I've checked task manager to make sure I don't have other programs running.
Thanks!
Ok, so trying to troubleshoot further, this only seems to happen when I have a memory card in (1gb). Any ideas???

I recently loaded the vibra (switch) v 1.32 cab file on to my tilt. I think it may have deleted a registry listing, because now the vibrate function doesn't work. I am sure it is not the mechanism, becasue when the phone loads up after a soft reset it vibrates. Does anybody have any idea how I can fix this issue without doing a hard reset. It would be great if someone could walk me through the registry listings I need to make this phone vibrate. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Update
It has to do with one of the installed programs. Would anyone have any idea how a program would affect the vibrate function. What could it possibly be changing that would disable the vibrate functionality
Hi all,
Cooked a WM6.0 ROM for my Hermes using Pandora's kitchen a while back and I've been very happy with the result. The only two issues I've found:
- Two of the icons in the OEM\Today Icons - HTC Home Icons - Original folder were wrong, that was easy enough to fix...
- Phone keeps switching over to vibrate mode
Can't seem to figure out the vibrate thing, since it does not seem to occur for any particular reason. I'll set the phone up to go for a drive (cancel forwarding, enable blue tooth, disable wifi, make sure sound is on, and then lock phone) and then leave it in the case while driving. After some time it may or may not switch to vibrate. At that point hitting the voice dial button on the headset does not give me the beep to start talking making it a little difficult to use...
So just wondering what would cause the phone to switch to vibrate mode? Any thoughts? Thanks!
That happened to me when I had my wizard. I think it was a compatability issue with HTC home, which made the device to go to Vib everytime you sync it to PC. You might have to do a search on it and see if you come up with anything!
I'm running Kavana's latest and every time my backlight shuts off the phone makes the "ding" sound.
How do I get rid of this annoyance? None of my sound settings are set to "ding" and I haven't been able to find the ding sound to delete it.
hi
this is due to the wifi power saving option.
the ding is located in windows- ding.wav
i would also be very interested in getting this to work.
cheers
solved it!
go to profiles-
edit profile by pressing menu.
then go to the bottom option which is something like swicth off all system sounds.
thanks
Hi...
On the whole, I'm really satisfied with my Touch HD, however I have a really annoying problem - I want the Wireless Network Detected notification to be disabled, whenever I disable it from the Sounds & Notifications under Settings, it keeps changing back after a soft reset.
I have found this thread here which talks about the exact same problem for the diamond.
A) I tried that and it didn't work for me.
B) It seems silly to run another program in the startup sequence to undo something that's being done in the startup sequence itself.
Is there a solution for this?
Thanks!
Y.
Hey Guys!
I need help! with something on the settings of the phone that is making me bald.
Recently my Note10+ updated to the official OTA Android 11+ One UI 3.0. So far so good!
After that, I did a factory reset on it for a fresh app install... all that done with no hassle.
Now when changing the notification sound in the phone settings from the default Spaceline sound to the one I wanted all went well except for Whatsapp.
No matter what I do, whenever a message comes in, it always sounds the phone's default spaceline tone.
I've done everything I know from changing the notification sound by going to in-app settings, to the phone settings.... EVEN putting the in-app notification sounds to silent to no avail. It still keeps sounding the phone's default spaceline tone. What I am doing wrong? Please please, can anyone help me? I am so frustrated!

Click to collapse
Go Settings > Apps
Search for the app you're wanting to change the sound on.
Open the app and click on Notification.
Select which notification you want to choose to change. You can toggle each one on or off and you can change from Silent to Alert and then change the Alert type and sound.
Hope this helps
