Headset that the Radio works with..... - P3300, MDA Compact III General

........I bought one of these:

and one of these:

I can listen to Pocket player or the FM radio and I don't have to untangle cables. You also get the splitter so next holiday by the pool the Missus can listen too. It doesn't work with the phone but I can live with unplugging to take a call.

Does the radio work using this adapter???
I got one and the reception on the radio none existent.

Yes so far the radio has worked fine.

FM Radio.

Is it just mine or this FM Radio thing is a complete joke. I live in N London, and the signal quality (the receiving bit) is so poor, I can hardly listen to any station at all. With the headset attached of course.
Anyone with the same problem?
Mine works great. Just tried it yesterday and it picked up all my favorite radio stations and is quite loud. The only thing that didn't sound too good was playing through the loud speaker instead of the headset. But I'd never do that anyway.
Could it be that the FM antena in the headphones (I think it's just a wire) might be severed somehow? I mean sometimes i can get sound, but it's like intrerupting as I walk, fading, etc
I suppose it could be. How does it sound when making calls or listening to MP3's?
Works fine here also, only thing is that every scan i do the sound mute's
always have to change the volume to hear music
Here in Berlin it works really well, even the fainter stations are o.k.
The only gripe I have with it is that I can only listen in mono and not in stereo, even if the display says "stereo".
Anyone out there who has sqeezed a second channel out of this radio?
Yours,
Harry
For me, like Riesling-Harry sayd it works very well to (in Hamburg). It finds every station or even more, then i can find with my car radio. I can say it's better then the one in the SE k700i wich was a very good one...
The stereo thing i have to check later, because i have no headset with me.
regards,
Timo

Bro..
I have that problem too. It's in Mono!!
Here in Greece the FM reception is Great !!
No problem at all with FM radio signal

FM "stereo" radio

I have a problem with the FM radio on the Orbit. I can't get any of the radio channels in real stereo. Although I have a signal strenght of up to 5 yellow bars on the display, there is no perceptive difference between "mono" or "stereo". The stations I used to tune do definately have stereo material, but my Orbit plays only mono. The time a usual radio would switch from mono to stereo mode I can only hear a "click" on my phones, but
no difference betweeen right and left channel.
I came back to the O2 shop with my complaint, and after some discussions (how do you prove the material you hear is mono?) they even let me try another brand new Orbit. But the result was just the same. No stereo radio. The complaint was posted to HTC by an O2 representative, but no reaction so far.
BTW my MP3 sources play in real stereo with the same headset!
Did anyone make the same experiences? Is this possibly a problem of software settings?
Have you tried the other orbit with your own headset. The FM-radio-antenna is part of the heaset, and I thing, there might be a connection problem.

Handset -> Bluetooth A2DP -> FM Transmitter -> Car Radio?

I would like to know if there is a device out there that will receive a bluetooth A2DP signal from my handset, then transmit the audio over FM so I can listen to it in my car?
I think this sort of thing is my only option as my car radio does not have an auxilery connection, aslo using a mini USB to 3.5mm jack is not an option as my handset is always cradled and charging in the car.
Any ideas?
I had discovered this item in search a couple of months ago, however I haven't tried since it is almost as expensive as a new radio!
http://gadgeteer.org.uk/2007/11/20/venturi-mini-bluetooth-handsfree-with-fm-transmitter/
I'm now thinking about disconnecting the tape input on my radio and using it as an auxiliary for my phone...

Thanks that was pretty much what I was after, however you are right it is expensive. For that price I reckon I could pick a head unit with an auxilery input quite easily if not bluetooth built in.
Try Parrot PMK5800.I use it on my Kaiser. No more than $100.00 on Ebay. Works very well on my car FM Radio.
Here is another similar device that you're looking for:
http://satechi.com/Bluetooth-Handsfree-Fm-Transmitter-for-Car/M/B000KJBNEI.htm
I had the previous version of it, the very first one they launched, which did not have A2DP yet, only BT phone calls. My experienced was pretty ugly with the quality of the mic as well as the quality of the FM sound. But it seems from various on-line review they have improved the product significantly.
The device posted above (Venturi Mini) is more superior in my opinion, it closes all of the gaps the satechi device had. I just looked at it, and wow.. this answers all of my previous concerns with the Satechi device: Caller ID (very smart thought to transmist it to the radio display, which almost FM radio has), phone book, audio out!
If the mic quality is good, then this device is perfect!
All of these devices will do the job, just a little more expensive than I would have hoped for, ideally they wouldnt have a handsfree option as I already use a Parrot CK3300 for that (with GPS).
how about this...
Why get an adapter when you can get a bluetooth stereo for you car?
http://www.engadget.com/2006/07/19/sony-s-mex-bt5000-car-stereo-with-bluetooth/
There are about 6 brands out there that I've found so far, however I'm not sure which is the best at this point.
Jabra BT320s
I recently bought a Jabra BT320s from orange accessories for under a tenner. This looks like a small MP3 player which has a 3.5mm jack for headphones (they supply you with a basic set but you can use any headphones you like). I had a small FM transmitter with a 3.5mm jack for the car which transmits to the radio.
I wondered what would happen if I used a2dp to the bt320S and plugged the transmitter into the BT320s jack.....well it worked! My wizard was playing over bluetooth(stereo) to the transmitter then FM to the radio. Quality? Not fantastic but it did work OK. The headset and transmitter hide out of the way in my armrest.
All for about 15 quid (not including wizard and car stereo)
Barry
My favourite is Venturi mini, so I am asking anybody who has Touch Cruise. Is it cooperative (on their pages is written just TyTN, Touch, Tcou Dual, and not Touch Cruise)?
Jabra sp700
I like the jabra sp700 which you can now buy for $60 on the net. just go to ebay and put in the name of the device. You can also check it out on you tube. Im sure everyone will be getting one of these

Best FM transmitter?

What's the best FM transmitter?
I've got the T505 but even in a country setting I get static and can't turn the radio up as loud as I can with a CD.
Replacing the headunit is not an option and I don't have built in BT in the radio or AUX in

After testing a few different brands the one with the clearest sound, least static, and least interference was a Belkin Tunecast.
I opted to replace my HU to one with an AUX... I didn't like the built in bluetooth options available to me, plus I was going semi-cheap, so I went this route.
I know you're not wanting to go that direction... I investigated other options before I settled on the HU, and the best one that I came across is the Sosche FMMOD02, which is actually an FM modulator rather than a transmitter. I used a similar product for my XM radio for years, and because it's a hardwired solution, FM interference was basically nonexistent.
Since I'm new here, i can't post a link, but the Sosche is available on ebay... item # 110630349556 is just one of several current listings.
I use this one http://www.amazon.com/iriver-AFT-100-Mobile-Transmitter/dp/B00067LYFW. Bought a refurbished one from Woot.com years ago when it was 15 bucks. Works really well, it sounds like it's own radio station. No static at all.

fm transmitter for i9100

hello,
i see that there are plenty of fm transmitter for the iPhone! and not even one that connects to micro-usb port...
have i missed something?
btw, is there an fm transmitter with bt so i cant connect trough bt, with good quality?
thanks
If you googled it and you don't see any then probably not. Maybe the manufactures don't think android is worth investing in, the same reason there are way more variety of cases for iPhone than android. Or maybe because there are so many different android phone manufacturers with their own android framework like TW for example. Just guessing though...
Sent from my GT-I9100m while on the toilet
Search on Ebay
Search on ebay, there are a lot of fm transmiters. But none works with the Micro USB because very few phones have audio out in the micro usb (its only 5 pins).
i have tried 2 bluetooth and fm transmiter for iphone and 3 for android and dont have good sound while transmit for blueetooh, have lost of quality. Its better for wire.
Sorry for my English. I speak spanish.
I don't know you situation, but cassette adapter is not an option to you? Personally I'm using one to connect my phone and my car stereo. It works pretty well, although the 4th adapter worked with my head unit.

it is an option,
but i want to use pandora like app... so i don't need to make a playlist. just connect the phone and listening from the web.
Take a look here
http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/k100/
It´s a BT handsfree wich also have an FM transmitter. I´ve buyed one on amazon a few months ago, for less than half the price served on the official website.
You can pair the phone through BT and then (optionally) send the audio to your FM radio car. Also you can choose in your phone wich audio route (calls, media or both).
Good design and audio quality is good in my opinion. Just one complaint: depending on the city/zone you live, FM frequencies may be oversaturated and this can make noise or static interferences.
