Hello all!
I released few weeks ago my first WM6 ROM in original french (details in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=306375 ), and as many people asked me if it could be possible to have WM6 translated in their language, I promised that I will improve my ROM building process to be facilitate ROM translation in many languages.
Now the process is ready, I'm testing my new french WM6 ROM since about a week and I had really good results!
I need to know in which languages you would like me to translate the ROM, but for that I need first to get an original ROM in your language, better for an Hermes but if there is no available it can be a ROM for another device. It's only to take a look at the original translation, and it will be even better if the ROM contains the lastest OEM apps and drivers!
This ROM contains all the features of WM6 Pro in their lastest build, new OEM drivers and apps, and few other nice things of my own creativity.

Well, i have old version WM6 ROM for Hermes in spanish, and of couorse, the emulator version. I think you can take both ans extract the latest of both...

I don't know yet for traditional chinese, as it is more complicated to translate (need special input for example) and not easy to understand traditional chinese for me but I will think about it! And I think there is already a release in chinese (WM6 Asia Edition).

Hello!
I am working to cook a french WM6 ROM, it is going on the good way and I thought that some people could be interested in this (as I know that french members of this forum are asking and waiting for it since a long time!). I still have a lot to do, but if you are interested in my ROM I could release it in the following days.
This ROM uses the same base as the lastest LVSW 3.30.0.8 ROM, the french MUI is from an official WM6 image (provided with WM6 SDK).

I am portuguese and I am also interested in replace the english MUI files by the portuguese. I have extracted the SDK image I have the dump directory with the relevant files. My problem now is to know exactly which files must be replaced and How. If you can give a little help it woud be great.

As per as my post here, I also want to transform a WM6 ROM in a portuguese rom with the sdk image. Please clarify a doubbt I have: which tool you use to open the wm6 file rom (nbh) to be able to replace the needed files? how do you do that?

Hi dcoelho.
You can extract the NBH content with koch soft from dutty.
With this you get the NB files you can extract manage with same tool, or you can use tadzio tools to get BigStorage version.
Advice: If you origin ROM is done by tadzio tool, don't use koch to edit (you can extract the content of NBH anyway)

I think we all who like not WEE versions can put all our effor together in one way to get multiple language WM6 ROMs.

Does the others ROM (non french I mean) requires hard modifications to understand AZERTY hard keyboard and display an AZERTY soft keyboard or it is only something we can parameter in the device?

Simple - just try to load the ROM into The Koch. If that works, you can use it. If the Koch crashes, you can't.

I have HTC Streaming Player version 2.10h, could you tell if there is a newer version? If yes, where could I find it?
I would rather not to change 3G icon to keep an original ROM.

It is not possible to easily change the software keypad, but there is no problem for the hardware keyboard, if you want I can give you a cab install I made to change the keyboard layout to french.

I didn't have opportunity to test Streaming Player, nice to see that it works with Orange Live TV! Could you tell me what is the missing file? I will correct it in the next release.

StreamingPlayer.exe.040c.mui is already in Windows directory.
Sorry I don't include operator settings in my ROM, so I don't customize user agent for Orange SPV M3100, you should use a cab for operator settings.
It would be nice if some people could test settings for the different french operators, and we could post working cabs for operator settings here.

I let original translation for that. I know that the text doesn't fit porperly the call button (same bug in original ROM), maybe I will change it later but I don't think to put "Parler" instead, as you can use this button not only for voice calls, I thought to replace it with "Appel.".

Sorry for being late to release it, but I spent my night to find a solution to implement my own applications (advanced config, setup VoIP & setup operator) because of a so stupid problem! In fact I wanted my apps to take advantage of the extended ROM but they manage a folder try and I don't know how to create folders in extended ROM! If someone has an idea... So I couldn't package my apps with the new ROM, I will try to find a solution and release those applications during the week-end.
@db77: Thanks for this donation, if other people do the same I could invest it in further ROM development. Be aware that it was a long and patient work to translate, to cook, to debug, to program, and to improve the ROM process! I would like to add values to my next ROM to make it even more unique, with useful applications I am developing for example.
@belu: I didn't hex edit my ROM to enable BBConnect to have fully original system files, but if many people are interested and if you know how where is the explanation for doing it, I could release a derivated compatible ROM.
@B12forever: Sorry to disappoint you, this not as good as my first ROM, but it should be really better!

Simply because my ROM doesn't include boot splashscreen (maybe other people would like to keep their own splashscreen).

I wanted to make a splashscreen for my ROM but I didn't have time to do it, as you were so impatient to get the new ROM!

The "ugly" 3G icon is the original icon of WM6 system, and the nice icon patch which was published shouldn't be used with my ROM build. I will see if I can hack it by myself later, but for me that's really not annoying.
Concerning Streaming Media, it's a mistake, I forgot to update it.
As said before, the tweaks/voip config/user agent apps will be available during the week-end.

P3600 WM6 - ADW-edition - English and Dutch
Version 1.1
Introduction
I put a lot of time to release an English and Dutch version at the same time. This is my second ROM (for both languages). I didn't post the first ROM here to see if it was stable enough. I think this second version is stable and good enough to post here.
The only differences between the Dutch and English version is the language. The ROM is based on Bepe's (OS 5.2.1908 Build 18508.0.7.0) BaseROM. I hope you people like this version.

When you already have a ROM with RadioROM 1.46 or higher you could download the ROM without RadioROM. To view your RadioROM version go to start -> settings -> tab: system -> Device Information. The version include RadioROM is RadioROM version: 1.50.08.11.

Tranlations errors
First I Would like to thank you for this Rom
I downloaded the Rom and installed it but I detected some translations errors in the English version, in calendar several months aren’t translate correct, also when I have an appointment it shows donderdag :”appointment” if you could correct this translations errors in calendar this Rom would be perfect.

If I understand it right,
You are using the English version and some words are Dutch?
I think it has something to do with changing the regional settings to Dutch.
You can try to change the Regional settings to English?

Hi 1st thanks for a nice rom i love to have it but when i install n try my device says "GPS not found" ! i try to enable gps icon but it wont work ! also did try trinity hack to enable it but still same can someone plz help GPS work for me in this rom ! plz

If you really cannot get GPS working (you really need to wait the "GPS not found" becomes "Waiting for a valid GPS Signal" after some time - and then fixes. If this is not the case it is almost certainly that your radio rom is not the right version. Search the forum - for version 1.46.11.00, say - and you should be good to go.

What RadioROM are you using?
I advice RadioROM 1.46.xx.11 or higher.

Can you please explain the main differences between this Rom and 1.93 (besides those things coming from Touch Pro/Rapahel, that is).
I mean I have the 1.93 Rom, from Tom (the one HTC put up on their site, I presume), and I'm happy with it.
But looking at your description, this one looks great.
Have you ever tried the 1.93 one? And can you make a comparison?

I think you mentioned to the update of WM, but in all cocked rom's tested by me, the update give me error. I think that he will have something to about with the signature of rom.
The problem is the update of Windows Mobile, I didn't get, he tries but in the end give me error...

If you refer to the LandscapeMenu edit file 275fe915_manila in Windows and correct to "Contactos".

Is it easy to modify some therms to Brazilian Portuguese? Woul you like to try it with my collaboration? I don't know anything about programming, but I have good will (boa vontade)! If you send me the "font code" or "command lines" (sorry if it's wrong terms), maybe I can identify the words and "translate" it...
