Hi guys,
after many days of testing I'm releasing my kitchen for i780.
It is very basic: no gui, only batch Windows scripts.
What you can do with this kitchen:
A) Convert your Part02.raw dumped rom to bin flashable PDA rom
B) Create a dump folder to cook your own rom and recreate a bin flashable PDA file.
Please notice that there's no tool included to edit, add or delete modules and files from rom dump.
You must use one of the tools available here in forum to do this or do this by hand.
Donwload the zip file and extract everything.
READ CAREFULLY THE README FILE IN THE ZIP ARCHIVE
This file explains how the procedures work and what you need.
PLEASE TEST THIS KITCHEN AND REPORT YOUR RESULTS
I thank chaimd for his bintonb0 tool, tadzio for his tools and Juggler for conv3 sourcecode.
I also thank Topogigi for his original procedure.
I modified conv3 tool to make it work with i780 rom files and made split and merge tools.

Issue 1: it seems there's a problem with Part02.raw conversion. It screws up connection settings. Problem is being investigated.
[Partial solution]: it seems that this problem is due to both size and language: I used an English rom to convert an Italian Part02.raw.
Using an Italian rom seems to solve the problem. But you must check the new rom size: if it's too big it gets cut down and it doesn't work.

thats easy .. heres how to do it
fire up mirage on ur pc and chose the eboot+phone+pda option and select ur file ..
then dont connect the samsung to pc.. instead use file explorer on pc nd go to c and copy the three files to some other folder.. cancel the mirage on pc then

I love your footer about the 8502 being a mistake. I also own one. what a dissappointing and relatively useless machine it is, and I can't find a buyer...

I have tried with dump of HC1 italian but I have more problems.
The more little is the desappear of office folder but most important is the deseppear of remote connection e wifi connection.

Don't think you can.
In another thread, people were talking about a xip part needed to switch from wm6 to wm6.1

I have the the loader and the phone of i780DXHC4 english.
I have processed a dump of italian rom version i780XIHC1 with yor software.
Peraphs the dump of italian rom is broken??

Convert Part02.raw to .bin
Hello famusc,
Thanks for your effort to create a kitchen for the i780! I wanted to create a backup of my Dutch i780-rom (PDA: i780XKHA3) and I managed to dump part00.raw, part01.raw and part02.raw.
Now I wanted to convert part02.raw to a flashable .bin file so I could reflash this Dutch rom if I want to go back to factory defaults, but the warnings make me a bit scary to test the .bin I created, so I wanted to ask some questions first:
-The .bin has to be as large as possible, I have the i780pda_WWE_test2.bin which is 78.512 kB and my Part02.raw is 79.104 kB. The .bin I get when the conversion is finished has a size of 78.512 kB. Does this mean some data of my original dump is lost? (I kinda understand your conversion tool replaces the part02.raw file of a flashable .bin rom with another part02.raw which in my case is the Dutch part., but is all the information still in it?)
-My second question is if it is a problem if I used an English .bin with a Dutch .raw?
If you could please anwer my questions I would be very happy, because I have seen some requests for Dutch i780 roms and it might come in handy for other languages, because in this rom Windows Live Messenger is included (and obviously working). So maybe someone can extract it.

Thank you for using my kitchen.
First of all I ask you to use version 0.2 BETA: it contains some important corrections in conv3 tool.
Now:
1) Part02.raw is usually bigger than required. So we are interested into its shrinked size. I think that your 78512K bin file should be good.
In 0.2 kitchen it is explained how to check bin size is enough for new data.
2) It's not clear whether you'll have problem with a bin of a different language than raw file. As for my experience, I always got connection problem when I used a different language bin. You can try and then have a look at connection settings and at wifi Internet-Work settings. If you find no connection defined or you can't connect through wifi, than it doesn't work.
You should use a Dutch bin to be sure you'll have no problem.

i780 DDHE1 - Upgrade to WM6.1?

Hi All,
I just bought a i780 with WM6 in India. I am very very new to Windows Mobile and to be honest I have gone through several threads on XDA Forum, its all bit confusing for me.
I would like to upgrade my WM6 to WM6.1 and my version is DDHE1 as it is from India.
It will be of gr8 help to a starter like me if someone could give a definitive answer on what ROM I should download and where, What Hex text I have to change and any other info.
I know this is a lot to ask, also the answer may lie in several of the threads in this forum. But for a nube like me, it will be of gr8 help if someone can give me a definitive answer.

DDHE1 TO DXIB1 ROM UPDATE FOE SAMSUNG i780 bought in INDIA
WELL
1. First Download the ROM FILE FROM

2. Then USing WINRAR EXTRACT FILES TO a FOLDER
3. THEN DOWNLOAD HXD EDITOR AND OPEN THE EXE FILE and CHANGE THE VERSION DXIB1 to DDHE1 FOR UPGRADING PHONES BOUGHT IN INDIA.
4. THEN SAVE THE FILE AND CARRY ON WITH INSTALLATION...
WELL I UPGRADE MY I780 BOUGHT IN INDIA VER DDHE1 TO WINDOWS 6.1
IF SOME ONE CANT DO THE Above Procedure WRITE TO ME....

Which EXE file to be edited? What's the detailed procedure to edit? Is it at one place or 'find & replace' at all occurances?

1. download mirage updater
2. download heroes 1.1 rom file (thats the best )
3. if you're using winxp to update, just start mirage....load up the bin file of heroes 1.1 that you downloaded onto the PDA part (using mirage) (using vista - u need to get usb drivers for ur i780 - search for i780 mirage update usb drivers)
4. now start ur i780 in emergency mode... 1st turn off ur device, remove batt...put it back in, 2nd hold function+enter+power (for atleast 5-6 seconds...until you see "Emergency mode" on ur display)
5. click "Detect" on ur mirage updater....and once mirage is ready....connect ur i780 to the usb cable.
6. this will flash ur rom over....and once its done - ur all good to go!

Thanks dreamtheater39 for your detailed instructions. I'm n00b for flashing ROMs. Right now, I've upgraded to DXIB1 using Samsung's official all-in-one upgrader. But, I will surely try various cooked ROMs - EFN, Heros, Inertiax, etc.

Finally got my i780 DDHE1 ROM updated to DXIB1.
Figured which file to edit, how to edit for this:
Upon unzipping (using Winrar) the DXIB1 upgrader downloaded from Samsung website as per sunaymehta's instructions, edit the DXIB1_XP.Exe (for XP) using HxD editor suggested by mGforCe. Search for I780DX, change it to I780DD (this is at only one place - near to very end of the Exe file), save the file. That's it. Then follow the upgrade instruction given in FAQ to move from DDHE1 to DXIB1.

Hi, i am dumped ROM parts (00-03) from my Diamond and now i want rebuilt. I was tried many xda how-to but nothing worked for me (buildos.exe still crashing)... can any1 rebuilt my rom from my raw & nbh files please?

RUU_signed.nbh - 730ce591b387af50e8810a71e9d0cc29 - can be downloaded too from HTC site here with this serial - ht836gn41032 . Must be WWE_EastEurope
(upload done, nbh can be extracted with winrar from HTC file & pls check the md5 sums, my connection is sometime unstable)

no, its original ROM shipped with my device (eastern europe rom, downloaded from htc site) uploading now... but with this rom is CZ o2 branding with CZ language packs (dumped). rapidshare is for me very slow, mediafire is ok, but no more than 100mb, uloz.to is ok, speed is ok and download is easy, just click the link and than retype captha code and click "Stahnout FREE"

yes, i am here my situation: i buyed new device, and want reflash with customized rom. But I buyed device from my operator and in future when I want return device for repair, i need flash original rom to device. My original shipped rom is from HTC and with added CZ customization (CZ languages etc, operator branding)... I dumped this ROM and downloaded original ROM and now i need make flashable ROM u can upload anywhere. srry for my bad english

but for flashing you have to "hard-flash". its like a key that is needed for flashing other roms. and this is marking in bootloader-mode a text which provider can see that the device was flashing.

1) first, flash original ROM and radio
2) download diamond_RUU_Signed_SPL193stock.zip.
3) download HardSPL unlocker - diamond_RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH.zip.
4) Extract. To diamond_RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH directory move RUU_Signed.nbh from diamond_RUU_Signed_SPL193stock.zip.
5) Now run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and continue with "next" step by step to 100%
Now for check - press and hold Volume down + restart. Woala: bootloader with version nubers - if SPL 1.93.000 its original SPL.

To modify the initial ROM. You can use the tools that I leave here for everyone.
1. NB0 Kitchen.zip out to different file NB0 Kitchen tools for cooking ROM. (Credits: MR.TOTO From PDAMOBIZ IN THAILAND).
Code file is different mrtoto.
2. After you have the tool then. Is to extract the files using gbcall.nb0 tools NB0 Kitchen.
Tools to extract the files out.bin,.Imgfs.bin
RENAME Imgfs.bin TO nk.nba
Then the command.
1.prepare_imgfs.exe nk.nba Nk.nba is to isolate and imgfs_raw_data.bin imgfs_removed_data.bin. This file is 2 is.
1.1 imgfs_raw_data.bin
1.2imgfs_removed_data.bin
2.viewimgfs.exe imgfs_raw_data.bin Will issue a dump imgfs_raw_data.bin Folder name that we can dump out what to enter, modify or do something.
3.BuildImgfs.exe After so satisfied, then enter the command. To change the dump folder and then modify it back to us. imgfs_raw_data.bin the same.
4.make_imgfs.exe nk.nba
5.xda2nbftool -c -u gbcall.nb0
Then you work together well to Al-normal fortunate friends.

1st of all, my stealth freeze at boot (WM5), displaying the green WM Direct Push Technology screen. bcoz i think that nothing could be done to reverse the freeze screen. i decide to flash the rom with WM6.5 rom.
all went well till i suspect the flashing also freezes. it was more than 20 minutes anyway. too long. and i soft reset the stealth and try re-flashing again. it powered on but nothing were displayed on the screen...just plain dark, nothing. the 5 way button led were on all the time, but not the keypad. no red or green or blue or orange as how it supposed to be either
someone..pls help me solve this

No other files contain the .exe file to be excuted

Just Download Romupdate utility for artemis and place this nbh file there and falsh it

You can install : Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3.cab
or
You can use : SplashScreen.exe from you PC.

Testing this rom now....... so far all perfect. fast, longer battery life.......stable.
Only issue with me....how to add programs for the short cuts already in today screen???

Mmmm... looks like it takes a lot of Program memory.

Thats right. I remember it was 47+ free storage and around 24 mb free program memory after flasing and resetting.
