Hi i have downloaded the lastest rom (ITA) from ftp site but doesn't work,
after double click on downloaded file i get one error like file dameged.
What can i do for get it?thanks
Ciao a tutti ho scaricato l'ultima versione in italiano dal vostro sito FTP ma nn funziona,ovvero lanciando l'eseguibile mi da un'errore come se il file scricato fosse danneggiato,ho provato svariate volte a riscaricarlo ma nn cambia nulla.

i bought a tytn on ebay, but when i received i discovered it is in english and not in italian (my language) so i started searching for a solution. when i found this forum, i was confused. but now i think i can get it.
i downloaded from the ftp Vodafone_PDA1605_1.23.165.2_ITA_Dumped_ROM.rar,
but it is not listed how to upgrade the rom, cause all the threads refer to self extracting rom packages.

Il problema è che ho il tytn acquistato su ebay in inglese.
iol tytn è marchiato vodafone, sulla scatola c'è scritto VODAFONE 1605 VPA COMPACT III -
ma non ne esco fuori, ho trovato il firmware in tutte le lingue tranne che in italiano, finchè non mi sono imbattuto nella dumped rom che sta sull'ftp xda, ma non so come caricarla visto che è in una forma diversa da quelle altre che ho trovato.. :mad

andate sul sito dell'htc nella sezione e-club vi dovete registrare così potrete regisrare il vostro palmare e quindi scaricare tutti gli aggiornamenti che htc offre.

Then under "My Download" => "Device Updates" => "HTC Touch Diamond" you can find "Touch Diamond ROM update".
(Registratevi sul sito HTC e-Club e poi registrate il vostro cellulare usando l'ID che trovate dove c'è la batteria, quindi andate nella sezione dei download.)

maybe it works:
get an upgrading tool (better the one you used to load current version)
run hpRUU.exe, let it read current version but don't push "upgrade".
now rename upgrade.nbf to something you like (ex: upgrade.nbf.old)
put in the folder the real upgrade and rename in upgrade.nbf
push upgrade
it should work.

sono interessato anch'io a WM2003-2005-2006 in italiano. mi puoi passare i link per scaricarli? sul sito hp non sono riuscito a trovarli.
per il tuo problema penso possa risolverlo così:
prendi un tool di upgrade (meglio se è lo stesso con cui hai caricato la versione corrente).
lanci hpRUU.exe, gli fai leggere la versione attuale ma non cliccare su upgrade.
a questo punto rinomini il file update.nbf in quello che vuoi tu (es: update.nbf.old) e metti nella cartella il file di aggiornamento che vuoi caricare sull'ipaq e lo rinomini in update.nbf.
dovrebbe partire con l'aggio.
