Hi:
Does the xda-developers' Wizard unlocking utility work with the Excalibur/DASH?
I'm only interested in SIM-unlocking.
Failing that, what's the e-mail address that you used to contact T-Mobile to request a SIM-unlock code?
Thanks for any help.

Please do a search--there is no free unlocker available yet for the Dash. You can get the device commercially unlocked from imei-check.co.uk for about $38 or you can CALL T-Mo for an unlock code. The email address for unlock requests at T-Mobile stopped working years ago.
Thanks for the info re: the old TMo address not working.
I did do a search. Thanks so much for the tip.
I have used imei-check.co.uk twice before.
I was looking for a non-$38 option.

If you have service with T-mobile, call them and they will give you the code in less than two days. I just got mine today.
I used this to send an email to T-Mobile and got my Nokia 6030 unlocked.
This information is from www.howardforums.com T-Mobile WiKi.
Thanks for that link. I didn't know about the new email address to get an unlock code. The old one was [email protected] but of course there is no more VStream
Unlock GSM phone from T-mobile
If you are a T-mobile customer they will send you the unlocking code for free usually in a day or two if you have been with them for longer than 90 days.
With regards to the email address for t-mobile- I went on the website and contacted them through the website and got a reply from here: [email protected]
They asked me for the following information:
1. Mobile Number
2. PIN CODE/ LAST 4 SS#
3. IMEI (DAIL *#06#)
4. EMAIL
5. MAKE AND MODEL
Once I replied back with the needed info they opened an unlock ticket with their unlocking department and in a day they sent me an email with the unlock code.
Most carriers now will send you the unlock code for free so check with your carrier if you are not with T-mobile
Hope that helps

Hi guys,
I recently bought an unlocked XDA IIs, and it's working great except for one problem that I'm unable to send text messages. Everytime I try sending a text, it gives me an error saying "The message was undeliverable. please contact your service provider to activate the messaging service." I'm able to receive texts, but am unable to send any. It's running the windows 2003 platform. I also tried keying in the message service centre number for the text msging service manually, but to no avail.
This phone was previously on the o2 network in the UK, but i'm now in a different part of europe. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
do you have your message service center correctly configured?
yea...i checked the message centre number on 2 of my other phones ...and they're both the same and it works on those.
Also...I've got tomtom 6 for my pda....was wondering about which gps receiver would you all suggest me to get??
Hi again guys,
The problem still persists....any suggestions at all would be really helpful. Is it possible that the phone was partly unlocked? rather than fully? If so...what can i do to fix it? It's a request, please help me out.
Thank you.
Hi all,
My phone HD7 always receiving sms (which out phonebook), about 100 sms/day.
Could you help me how to block sms on Windows phone 7 - softs or solutions?
Thanks alot.
maybe contact your carrier?
My carrier don't supply sms block service. I need softs or solutions.
What on earth did you do to receive all those sms....... wait, dont tell me...
as The Gate Keeper already said. you should check with your operator.
Its not normal to receive that many sms day by day if you are not actually communicating with anybody....
are these spam sms?
Thanks.
Last time, I'm working for a promotion firm, my phone number send to anyone to colect informations about market.
Now they always send me sms. I want to block them.
make your firm provide you with a phone... the only way is thru carrier... and a carrier can do it.. not talking to the right people...

I need a soft, my carier don't accept to block sms.
Has anybody else had issues with replying to an SMS after taking your phone abroad?
I traveled to New Zealand and picked up a pre paid Vodafone NZ SIM during my stay I had to add the county code to my Dad’s Australian number to SMS him
When I returned to Australia I edited out the country code from my contact and put my Australian SIM back in.
Now I have a weird issue where if I reply to a message in the conversation it fails to send but if I create a new one it sends fine?

does this happen to anyone you try to reply to??
No just the one so far, I guess one thing to try is deleting the entire history from that contact but I'm trying to avoid that.
To me its like the phone is using the numbers from the previous messages when I was in NZ to reply even tho I have messages since arriving back in Australia
The failed messages show the full +61000 . . . . yet the contact does not have the +61 anymore
Best thing to do I guess is to delete the contact and add again it is the easiest

Hopefully we can figure out FREE sim unlock.
I did for M9 and Desire 626 so far. See thread for proof http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/sim-unlock-method-t3143333
this seems interesting. hopefully somebody could try it
If you are locked to ATT, its pretty easy to do so.
att . com/deviceunlock/#/
Just complete the form and it you get the unlock code immediately. Be sure to confirm from the email, and then dont wait for the next email but go immediatly to the "check device unlock request status" or something like that(its a link they will give you once you confirmed the request).
