I already asked this on the buzzdev forum while xda-dev was down, but since noone has answered yet over there, I'll post it here as well.
Here goes (I'll copy-&-paste it).
A useful feature in Pocket Outlook is that when you write the first letters of the recipients name in the "To" field, you immediately get a short list with the people in your address book that correspond to those letters. It's a much more convenient way than tapping the address book icon and looking up your recipient.
However, today I noticed this function didn't work anymore!
Upon further investigation I found that it did work with the standard input methods, but not with Calligrapher 8, which I just upgraded from 7.5 yesterday. The "check names" function doesn't work either when I'm using the Calligrapher input method. Has anybody else noticed this? Does anybody know of a way to repair it?
Another thing I want to ask is if anyone knows of a (safe) way to make Pocket Outlook store all your e-mail messages on a storage card. The only potentially useful thing I found on the forum was a patch for the Motorola Mpx, but the link is dead.
I found this method somewhere else:

"PropertyPath"=string:"Storage Card\mail"
Create a folder in the root of your SD Card called "Mail"
and another one in "Mail" called "Attachments"

Is there a way that we are able to go to the contacts in the HTC-P3300 and hold the contact so that it links with the Tom Tom to navigate to that specific destination?

I don't know about going TO TomTom FROM contacts, but you surely can do it from within TomTom:
With TomTom active, tap the screen to bring up the options menu. Then click "Navigate To." Now go to the second page in that menu and you should see the "Contact" option. Click it to browse your contacts and navigate directly to the ones for which you have addresses. It's pretty cool!

Hi Zerimar I have tried that however there is no navigate to. I did a factory restore which reinstalled 6.020. I also installed the 6.010 back to 6.020. I have called TT and they are supposed to get back to me.

Stupid me. I replied without checking my device. This options seems not to be available in tt6 but I just installed the PIMAddIn.cab from tt5 and it works.

I've checked the .cab file with WinCE Cab Manager and I have not found any registry entries. It just installs .dll files in the \Program Files\Contact Navigation\ directory thus it should work on WM5 devices. Remember my device is only running W2003SE.

I took the PIMAddIn.cab and installed it in the same folder however when i double click on it all my contacts open up. The navigate to is still not there.

Just curious guys, what is the advantage to getting the option within your PIM contact list when TomTom is going to open anyway when you navigate? Why go through all that work to hack an option that is available to you from within the program itself?

TomTom 6.02 has the "Navigate to contact"option! You do not need extra cabs to do this. When you select "Navigate to" you then use the arrow to the next page, and the 'Contact" option is very clear for you to select.

The original question (in a rephrased fashion) was the possibility of activating tt6 and navigating to the contact's address from Outlook Contacts. This was a feature in tt5. With the small trick, I can have it both ways.

In a way I agree with your line of thought, but when dicin raised the question and I found out that "Navigate to" was no longer an option in Outlook Contacts the idea poped-up. The hack took about a minute and doesn't occupy much space. Now we can have it both ways.
I noticed on the HTC-P3300 using the feature does work however it is slow. That is the only part that is slow. I also noticed that company names do not show up. If you use contacts and calendar heavily through outlook it is much faster than going within TT.

You're welcome dicin. Btw, you can retain the PMAddIn.dll and the PMAddInXXX.dll (XXX=language of choice) and delete the rest.

I think it looks slow because tt has to fist load, etc. What do you mean by comany names do not show up?
Btw, I pm'd you regarding quick gps fix, any ideas?
If I have in my outlook a contact listed by company name only it will show up as a blank listing in the TT contact list.
In the TT it is slow when you type in the contact list letters to find a specific name otherwise everything else is great.
The HTC works very good even though the processor speed. I have been able to have the wifi, gprs, phone mode and GPS navigation on all at once with no problem. It will navigate and receive calls with no problem. The volume is great and the reception is outstanding. I have had many phones and I mean many. I also modd all kinds of Moto phones and this is the first WM5 and must say i am impressed.
I have read your PM.
Where do you want me to send the files? It will be towards the end of the day.

Hi, I have been after this as well, other than running the PIMAddin.cab is there anything else to be done, I know dicin had trouble at 1st but you the gave him some instructions what to do?

Copy the cab file somewhere in your device, ie. Storage Card. Using an Explorer program, go to where the cab file was saved. Double-click on the cab file and do a soft reset. If you want you can delete the undesired dlls from the folder \Program Files\Contacts Navigation\. Be sure to keep the PIMAddIn.dll and the dll file of your language choice.

Hi,
I am using the O2 rom on my Orbit. I am having an issue whereby 24 hours after soft reset I am down to 2 mb program RAM.
I am only running OxiosHibernate, Phoneweaver, batterystatus, TodayAgenda, pTravelAlarm and WMLive 6 e-mail (as items arrive).
Leaving the phone on overnight, I found that the following morning it had dropped from 13mb to 8 - without doing anything!
I have tried using x-button and setting apps to close, but this didn't help at all so I removed it. I also temporarily tried removing TodayAgenda, but this didn't help either so I reinstalled it.
Does anyone else have a similar issue?

I think I may have tracked this down to Windows Live.
I ran the phone all day yesterday with Windows Live set to manual, instead of "when items arrive". The memory hardly dropped at all.
Not sure how to fix it, but at least I now know who is responsible.
If you have memory left, try installing Memmaid. A simple Memmaid Quickclean should resolve your problem I think.
I definitely know the cause.
Windows Live mobile on "as items arrive" - from 20mb to 2mb in 16 hours.
Windows Live mobile on "manual" - from 20mb to 16mb in 4 days!
Just don't know how to cure it! I don't like having to manually sync to get mail.
tweak the reg to store emails on your storage card.
phm regedit is a good tool for that.

I have had a look around the wiki, but can't find the registry hack that you are referring to. Could you point me in the correct direction.
Just a point to note - it is the Program RAM which is depleating, not storage RAM. Rebooting takes it back up to full available. Deleting e-mails doesn't bring back any program RAM (which I would expect is correct, as I assume they are stored in the storage RAM).

here is the edit you need to change the storage:
Change the location of email and attachments
When reading and sending email in Pocket Outlook, emails and their attachments are saved in the device's internal storage by default. You can change this location to, for example, your Storage Card:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MAPI\PropertyPath = "\Storage Card\Mail" (REG_SZ string, no quotes) HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MAPI\AttachPath = "\Storage Card\Mail\Attachments" (REG_SZ string, no quotes)
To return to the original location:
Just simply delete these Registry settings (since neither is included by default).
If it is the Program RAM that you are having trouble with... you should try uninstalling WLM and install another copy of it.

Just got my tp2 from Tmobile. I had them transfer my contacts from my other phone.
I put about 5 cab files on the phone and for some reason the synch was jamming so i restarted the phone and now everything is gone.
The cab folder i had in programs for all of the cab files the people i had saved on my main screen weather email etc.... Seems like it did a factory reset.
What did i do wrong? should i put the cab files on a micro sd card?
Anybody have a problem synching?
I really don't want to keep a phone that i have to worry about.

What was your former phone? If you were using a smartphone, I'd suggest you bluetooth your phone book. I just switched years of info and thousands of contacts from another platform to my TP2 via bluetooth and it worked perfectly for me.
I use "Microsoft My phone" when I upgraded from the Kaiser to the Rhodium I just signed on and got all my contacts ringtones contact photos SMS and everything, now my Rodium looks like I been using it all this time and the best part is all you have to do is just let it sync its all automatic
THis is the second phone this has happened on (first the tp then tp2) and I still don't know how to clear it other than a hard reset.
The situation is somehow I managed to to text myself and now inbox on the sms constantly says 2 when there are 0 new messages. This happens in both TF3D and SPB. Plus if you open your messages vier it has that constant blue 2 by it.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to clear this? I have cleared all my messages and it still remains. Im sure its a simple fix for someone with the right knowledge.

That phantom message count is a common problem on the TP2, and that file he posted is the solution that's been developed. You'll have to copy the file inside to your phone (SD card would be best), and then run it from there. Soft reset, and that should clear it up
